Check and make sure the MD5 Sum matches. It sounds like the Zip is corrupt. (From a bad download).
PS. I have a Q&A thread for support

[HELP] I think I have bricked it.

Guys, I was about to flash a new rom (Omega v2 for i9500) then I wiped the whole thing in CWM. But in addition to that I have formatted the system (mounts and format > format system), now device won't boot. I can get in Download Mode and Recovery mode but it just won't boot...
Now I am downloading a stock ROM from SamMobile; would it fix it if i flash it via Odin? And any suggestions?
Please tell me something because I am feeling really bad =/.

CREED V4

Hello everyone. I like CREED V4 and tried installing final build but every time I end up with bootloops. Is this rom fail, or I am doing something wrong?
I followed this tutorial:
1. Flash stock DDLK2 rom as Xicor Yagami said in his thread
2. Boot into CWM recovery
3. Wipe data
4. Wipe cache
5. Wipe dalvik cache (just in case)
6. Wipe battery stats (just in case)
7. Flash CREED V4 rom
8. Reboot
If I am doing something wrong, tell me the right tutorial for installing
After flashing stock DDLK2,follow the steps:
1.Boot into CWM.
2.Under mounts and storage,format system,data and cache.
3.Go back and wipe data and cache.
4.Again go to mounts and storage and mount all the partitions (All should show unmount)
5.Install zip from zip sd card and choose Creed V4 rom file.
6.When the installation is completed,go back and wipe data, cache and dalvik cache.
7.Once done with above steps, reboot the phone!
This tutorial works for every rom.

Basically you should always flash a custom ROM on a stock one,
so flash a stock samsung ROM (make sure there is no secured bootloader etc...)
then wipe and install, i always do that :good:
Have you mounted /system?

if you followed your instructions the rom wont boot
you need to mount system data cache after you have wiped system data cache so it should be the following
wipe data
wipe system
wipe cache
mount data
mount system
mount cache
install zip from sd
select rom zip
restart
I mean the patch provided by carl dont flash it

you still need to mount system data cache after you have formatted it
you also need to be on a stock based kernel
9 time out of 10 if its not booting its due to user error
The only other thing that would stop it booting is an incompatible baseband but I assume you are on a recent one and therefore should have no problems

Recovery can't read or write to cache

Good morning Folks. Having trouble finding a custom recovery that will read and write to storage. I have a T530 NU. TWRP won't clear the cache and Philz won't write either. Is there a workaround or fix. I did take the lollipop update before rooting. Thanks again.

I am pretty sure i'm going to regret asking,
why are you trying to write to cache?
If you are need recovery to execute a script, that script must be run copied to and run from /temp, not cache
i built the philz for sm-t530nu AND have updated to lollipop firmware and as ever , have no issues.
That being said, you are either attempting to perform an action/experiment incorrectly or
you have done some sort of damage somewhere.
philz build clears cache by rm -fr, not by secure wipe, i'm not sure how twrp is set up.
Cache is NOT storage.

Thanks M. Turns out it was a formatting issue. I guess I should have said it won't mount /cache. It's fixed now though. Thanks.
