How to get your MSL code for SPrint Ppl

Here's how to get your MSL Unlock Code to edit the settings found under "Dialer Codes" (##code#)#) mentioned earlier.
0. Download GetSPC
http://www.5gmobile.us/mobilefiles/VX6800/GetSPC.zip (if this link doesn't work then try googling "GetSPC" or checking the download section)
Instructions:
1. Unzip and copy the extracted GetSPC folder (with all 3 files) to the storage card on your device.
2. Write down the ESN (Hex) number found behind the battery.
3. Power up and run the 'GetSPC(PPC 2003)' executable on your device.
4. In the 'Input' field, enter the ESN number you wrote down but be sure to use ALL CAPITOLS for the alpha values. (Ex: 123ABCD4, not 123abcd4)
5. Hit the 'Go' button. The value in the 'Output' field will be your "Unlock Code".
I was under the impression Titan/Mogul users didn't use the 2003... we used the other since we are running WM5 or higher

This will run fine with WM5 and WM6 just run it off you phone i use this to find it my code and it will work trust me
I've already done it but I used the non 2003 one.
I just called *2 and asked for it. Simply said I was doing a software upgrade and needed it in case something went wrong.
Thanks a lot for this little program! I flashed the ROM on my mogul tonight, and didn't have the unlock code for the ESPT. I found this post and it worked perfectly on my sprint phone.
thanks!

no problem
thanks for this
I'm actually glad you posted this. This would have helped me out a couple days ago when I was searching frantically for getSPC and couldn't remember the name. Did you know if you search for msl on here and ppcgeeks, you get no results? I eventually found it on some random forum in the middle of nowhere.
lol next time type in search MSL
meh, I really didn't think caps would make a difference. Ya live, ya learn
Yeah, I've done it both ways and I don't know which is quicker...
Just call and say you are dropping calls and want to reprogram your phone, they will start by telling you the MSL
Weird issue. I used GetSPC and got my MSL. It worked, i changed the RevA setting. I've upgraded to the 3.35 ROM. I've installed some other apps as well, but now my MSL isn't working. Getting the unlock code failed message? Anyone know what could be causing this?
I'm having a error message that pops up also. I did is instructed by the instructions and the error message is: Could not link to DLL. Anyone knows what causes this?
Very much appreicated
thanks for the help this actually works thanks!!!!!
glad to see this here ,a long time ago ,i found this everywhere, none.it is very useful ! thanks!
I't didn't work on my mogul. help.....
case SENSITIVE and unzip both the dll file and the exe to the same place
didn't it come with this in the zip?
"all you need to do is find your HEX ESN (under the battery on the sticker)
Extract to a folder on your device, then run the exe (not the 2003 one)
Put in your ESN and SHAZAM! theres ur MSL"
yea i did that. i got a 6 digit number and when i entered it it still said it wasnt the right unlock code.
Sprint MSL
Are they not all just "000000"

Help how can i change my MDN and MSID

I recently ported my number to sprint but before then I changed the rom on my vogue and now the code the customer rep gave me to change the MDN and MSID don't work. How can I change my MDN and MSID now?
I would flash it with the standard Sprint ROM, set up the phone settings, then flash the ROM back to whatever one you want.
No wait don't do that yet. Try this. Put this program and .dll file on your phone, in my documents perhaps. Now run GetSPC, enter the ESN hex # with any letters in CAPS and hit "go" and it should give you the spc. Now hit "talk" and put in ##******# (****** being the 6 digit # u get from GetSPC) and then go to edit. U should be able to change them from there
have you tried ##402535# and then edit?

The easiest way (at least for me) is to change all this stuff via WM. Just flash NFSFan's rom and change this via PST programming. Once you are done, flash back to Android.
I am running NFSFan's WM6.5 rom and am having the same issue. I cannot activate my phone because it will not take the "##*****#" code from sprint.
egzthunder1 recommended using PST programming but I am not sure what that means.

If you are using NFS, you will find a folder under the Start Menu that is called Phone Codes. The dialer in NFS is skinned if memory serves me well, which means that the ##.. codes will not work.

When trying this, I get an error message that says that GetSPC.exe is not a valid Win32 application.

How To Read the Imei from Polaris

anyone knows that?
What do you mean? By a program you are writing or just because you dont know your IMEI?
As for the program, I dont know, the last thing I touched was Visual Basic 6 a couple years ago...
As for the IMEI in general: dial " *06# " (without the quotes) and it will display the IMEI. Or check the package of your device, its written on it as well or as a last resort, remove the battery, there is a sticker on the back of the device carrying the IMEI.
Settings --> Device Information --> Identity
i Want to replace my imei because i want to use the Gps software. The licence need it

Yes it does not work I have tried it. BTW does anyone have anytool for changing imei?
hi,
guys, you don't need to change phone's EMEI. What you need is to use MultyDID app (see the link for procedure http://forum.djawir.com/smartphone-...99-my-collection-smartphone-apps-games-5.html ). This program perfectly works for NAVITEL NAVIGATOR GPS-program, and I'm sure it will work for other GPS-apps as well.
Rgds.
change imei
i use mtty's mb command to peak into the memory and found the address for the following...
9DDD6C-9DDD7C: CID (ie. HTC__001)
9DDD7C-9DDD89: IMEI
9DDD94: SECU_FLAG (ie. 0 or 1)
i tried using mw to write the memory but the value wont stick... anyone know how to make the values sticky?
^^^ does anybody know?
For what purpose would you want to change the IMEI number for this way?
If a software will not accept your phones IMEI number you should contact the manufacturer/retailer. If it being installed because it wasnt meant for that particular phone then I'm afraid you should look elsewhere for solutions.
Guys, I'll be honest with you changing IMEI numbers to install software sounds like what it is without having to spell it out and I would be grateful if we wouldnt encourage it here on the Polariis forums by entertaining these type of posts.
Many thanks.

SPC CODE CHANGED after stock Sprint Rom flashed

I flashed my touch with the Sprint ROM on the HTC site. It updated the radio version to 3.42. I then flash the phone again to NFS V12. Now I try to enter the SPC code to change the PRL. I GET AN ERROR MESSAGE, stating the SPC is incorrect... What happened? Does the change of radio also mess with the SPC?
The Sprint update (probably the customizations) can change the SPC.
Use the program below on your phone to get the sprint spc code.

>> I had to remove the links; this site wouldn't allow it even though the links are in the post I am answering too??<<<<
I followed the direction exactly as written. Got the getspc and put it on the phone; went to file explorer and opened it. Entered the MEID HEX number ( under the Battery ) all in Caps in the upper window and the number generated in the lower window when I enter it still gives me the wrong code entered warning??
The phone is a HTC Touch Pro and the carrier is Sprint. I bought it from a *&&^% on Ebay and when I told him I couldn't get into the SPC to setup the phone he wasn't very pleasant person.
In fact he claimed to be with sprint and said the phone is unlocked due to him flashing "MightyRom" on it?
I told him then wouldn't he had needed the spc to unlock the phone in the begining and what is the spc he used; no answer...
Any help is greatful and if I can't get it the spc I'll have to try to get my money back from this guy..

Experienced the same same issue... Called Sprint. Told them the IOTA was not working and needed to perform manual setup. Sprint provided the codes which worked.

Thread moved to General.
@bullwhacker,
The SPC is not needed to unlock the device. The SPC or MSL is a number that you use to access the phone's programming (changing PRL, MIN, MSD, etc). If your device came with Mighty on it, it is unlocked as no custom roms can be flashed if it isn't.

[Not illegal] Information about IMEI and WM device

Hello my friend,
First, this topic is not in order to ask " How to change IMEI device", because it's illegal and it's very very hard of new HTC phones.
I'm software programmor and I programm in eVC for Windows Mobile.
I would like develop a tools about IMEI and Windows Mobile Device.
I would like to know if anyone know how Windows Mobile retrieve the IMEI ?
I know that the IMEI number is stored in OTP memory ( One Time programmable memory), but where is located this OTP ?
In the mainboard ? Or directly in the cellular modem ?
So i think that the GSM driver allow to seek the IMEI ?
It's right or no ?
Thanks a lot,
regards,
Nixeus
The IMEI can be read from registry: HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL: IMEI
It is not safe (I believe it is only updated when the device is coming up after initial boot after upgrade) and can be changed - not impacting anything, e.g. *#06# will still deliver the correct IMEI.
Thanks my friend for your answer.
When i use the *#06#, do you know how the imei is reading ?
With an AT command and the cellular modem ?
Try it out - dial *#06# and see that you get. Then change the registry value and do the same - it will not read the registry. AT command I never tried, but I suspect it will also not read the registry.
Afaik, the IMEI is stored in encrypted format in some permanent part of the device memory. It should be accessible through some API calls to the RIL. As I am no programmer I cannot help you further.
hard to think of a LEGAL reason to be doing this anyway, the only reasons i can think of are writing a fake one (illegal) or spoofing it across the network (illegal).
If you just need to know what the IMEI is in your software for some reason then the registry entry mentioned should do it for you surely
Nooot !
I need to expand my knowledge.
Use the lineGetGeneralInfo function.
can be used for licensing method...for example a developer wants each copy can only be run on 1 device, this can be used
For example man, but i would like better to be able to read this imei in low level
Or directly from the cellular modem..
