Is it possible on miui to change sim card pin?
Can't find option to do so.
on Redmi Note 4 (MIUI8)
1. In System Settings tap Additional Settings
2. Enter Privacy
3. In Security section tap on your SIM Card name it will simply be name of your mobile provider
4. Now using Lock SIM card you can choose if phone should ask for PIN to unlock the SIM Card after each reset and Change SIM PIN option to change or set new PIN code.

Hello!
Recently allowed the phone to update itself over the air - Android update (28th Dec 2010). After it did it's stuff, I now have a Triangle in the top of the screen /!\ as a notification "SIM card changed" - Tap here to change your settings"
If I tap here... I get a warning:
Code:
You have insterted a new SIM card.
Your phone will change the
following settings according to
your SIM card: bookmarks
shortcuts, wallpaper, ringtones,
language selections, and input
settings. Are you sure you want
replace these settings on your
phone?
YES. No, later. NO
What the hell??? I havn't touched the SIM card, just updated the OS to 2.2.1 (I think that what the update did).
Cheers for any insight. e.g. Should I select YES or NO to the above request?
Andy
I want to encrypt my device but I want to use a 4 digit pin, not a password. Can any developer help make a mod?

Hi.
I have just brought from China a G9009D Dual Sim Galaxy S5 and just now I realized that it has a "China Use Only Sim Slot - CDMA".
I am from Brazil and I was wishing to use 2 different numbers on it (3G).
Is anyone researching if there a way to change this? I.e: Make both Sim card slots 3G and Quadband?
Thank you!
Anyone can help?

Can any of the Android Gurus provide a step-by-step procedure to root the G5 Dual Sim (G9009D) UAE version?
Thanks in advance

You probably can't do that. Only one slot is GSM, the other is CDMA. You'd need a different model to support two GSM numbers.. the sm-900fd duos appears to have dual GSM SIM slots.
In any event, there is a thread that collates all of the information on the Chinese model that you have. Do a search and look for details there. You'd also find a better audience for your model as the people in that thread have the same goals and model as you.
.
I unlocked my s5 sm-g9009d
Here is the solution
1- In the dial pad, enter "* # 0011 #", will enter ServiceMode interface (if no response, just wait a while and try again)
2- Click on the top right corner of the three-point menu, press Click "Back", then click on menu, select "Key Input", enter a capital Q, point "OK", and then point to the menu, select "Key Input", enter "000000", click "OK".
3- patiently waiting for 5-10 seconds, will enter the "Main Menu" menu, click "[2] UE SETTINGS & INFO", "[1] SETTING", "[1] PROTOCOL", "[3] CDMA" , "[9] CTC SIM LOCK", "[1] SIM Lock", "[2] Disable SIM Lock is"
4- when you see the future "SIM Lock is Disabled", turn off the phone, insert your UIM in slot one.
It should work now

Anyone having issues using freedopop global sim card with their unlocked Samsung Note 4, follow the steps below.
First make sure your phone is Domestic Sim Unlocked (DSU) and not International Sim Unlocked.
1. Create a FreedomPop APN (https://support.freedompop.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2670/~/setting-up-your-phone-gsm-sim-card) for mcc use 234 for mcn use 20
2. Choose this APN and back out to your home screen
3. Install Phone Info (Samsung) or dial the secrete code to open GCF settings on the phone (*#4238378#)
The following steps come from the following post http://www.sammobile.com/forum/showthread.php?t=31372
4. Tap on GSM/(E)GPRS/WCDMA GCF ON
5. It will show Success
6. Now power off the phone using the power button, not a battery pull.
* If you applied GCF Setting and want to revert it in order to use a CDMA SIM (to return back to Sprint for example)
just follow the same steps but chose "GCF OFF" instead in the latest selection.
This should solve the issue. If this helps you out, please pass the favor and help others.
