Lg g2 screen issue resolved ? G2 owners, plz help. - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I was looking forward to buy this cellphone but then I read an article which mentioned about its touch screen issue.
Google revealed that there are lot many users facing same problem.
Now I am wondering if the touch screen problem has been resolved or not ?
Thank you for your time.

Touch screen issue is more of a hardware issue of overheating of some lg g2's as long as you have correct rom and that recovery for your model has thermal control your good to go.

Touchscreen Sensitivity

Hi guys, just bought a Galaxy Note - love the device except has anyone else noticed the touchscreen sensitivity is pretty bad?
I come from mostly HTC devices - the most recent being the Sensation and I could type much faster because the sensitivity of the screen seemed to register touches better.
I have downloaded SGS Touch which when the settings are adjusted are much better but, the settings always revert and I prefer a better or more permanent solution. Is it just my unit? Haven't flashed any custom rom yet so I can still return for warranty.
Would love to know everyone's thoughts and if it is a widespread problem, what did you guys do to fix it?
Are you referring to something like this?

Please update if that fixed your problem.
Hi,
Thanks for the response. It is not related to the movement issue but more toward typing... if I type the same as I used to with HTC sensation, I find that I will miss characters out. I have to be more deliberate in the touching of the screen and that makes my typing about 30-40% slower than before.
It can be resolved with the sensitivity program but I find that it keeps reverting. I was wondeing if there was a more permanent solution..
Thanks
Same Problem Here
I'm having the same touch screen sensitivity issue. The touch screen on my new SGNote is much less sensitive than that of my Motorola Atrix 4G. I'm finding that I have to press MUCH harder in order to register making typing slower and typo's common and causing usability problems with some apps. Any help in a permanent fix would be greatly appreciated. I'll continue to research this issue and post any of my own findings.

Shaded LG G2, Help!

Hello friends, I have a LG G2 D805, and I'm having a strange problem with the screen on my device. Recently I noticed "shaded" on the screen which makes it a possible leak of light, something which is quite strange, I do not know if this will be resolved with firmware or going into a technical assistance of LG. I ask you to be able to solve or guide me on what should be done, I began to notice this when you install "Screen Test" software do "Oleksii Ustenko"
Thank you.
Im having the same issue with a D803. Seems to be caused by some sort of overheating. If someone knows how to fix this please do tell.

Friend, I've been researching and the only answer I found for this was the Burn In, if not the burn in because it was overheating by ALGM until then I do not know.

[Q] The touch screen goes crazy and lag

I have a G2 LG D805.
I notice that sometimes the notification bar operated without being tagged, and after a while the screen does not react; I have to fix that lock and unlock the screen.
I upgraded to Kitkat and ROM changed him, to no avail.
I can not be so, is there any solution to this? Thank you

I don't want to sound pessimist, but I think that what you are seeing is a common LG G2 touchscreen defect.
Some of the problems reported are:
1. Ghost touches
2. Over-sensitive touchscreens
3. Some specific area of the touchscreen does not respond to touch. Most commonly close to the top of the screen.
Unfortunately LG has not addressed these issues at all and there seems to be no permanent fix to any of those symptoms.
Some people have managed to fix some of the above with certain ROM/Kernel combinations, some have gone great lengths to even replace the whole screen/digitizer assembly only to find the problem returning after a few weeks or months.
I just read on Reddit that some user is on his 7th LG G2, so it's not just a "bad batch" with problems but a very common one.
I am experiencing the sudden touchscreen malfunction on the top part of the screen.
Good luck!
Thank you
i have gone through 2 digitizer assemblys and the problem still occurs.
Mine developed the bad touch area and phantom touches. The jerk at the local Verizon store told me he talked with "an expert" and that I had dropped my phone, after he told me it was a known problem. Told me to file a claim on insurance, which they turned down. Called Verizon's toll free number and lady was upset on how I had been treated and promptly overnighted me a replacement.
did you find any solution?
same problem with my lg g2 d802
