Prophet going bonkers !!!!

i bought some time ago this Qtek S200 with a broken screen , so i changed the screen, work perfectly except that the screen keeps on going green sometimes, and the pictures are horribles , tons of pixels!!
My question is;
Which part on the motherboard is likely to have been damaged or is it just something that can be solved with a special software

I am not an expert, but my first suspect would be the ribbon connecting the LCD to the MB.
Particularly because the problem is intermittent I think it may be a connection issue.

my touch shows only white screen

hay from today morning my htc touch shows a white screen and a crack on the bottom corner of the screen.i am sure that it dint fell down.
then what may be the problem?
anyone knows pls tell me...

i have the same problem with the WHITE SCREEN. bought my ELF 3450 second hand over the net. i am from the Philippines by the way and HTC units are not yet very common here and also the parts/accessories. it worked fine for about 3 months with minor problems such as Auto-Restart/Auto Power On/OFf which was solved using the "plastic on the OMAP chip method" - tnx for the forum for the info by the way and charging problems which was also solved by buying me a aftermarket charger. but recently the problem of AUTO OFF occurred again until it did not work at all. so, i tried to check the Plastic over my chip but to no avail the fone was dead. so, i decided to head to one of our local cellphone repair shops and have my OMAP heated thinking that maybe there are just contact points inside who became loose. when we tried to power on it was good for a few minutes then i noticed the screen went darker and darker and then it was all WHITE. we restarted it but it's just WHITE. tried to send messages and call it but there is no response from the fone. i'm afraid i toast it bad or may be it's just the LCD who got toasted, i am clueless.
CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME WITHMY PROBLEM. CAN I GIVE LIFE BACK TO MY ELF? WHAT'S THE CHEAPEST & BEST SOLUTION TO THIS? THANX ...

Generally white screen problem are caused by defects in flex connecting the LCD to the mainboard or the connector itself. Try to disconnect and reconnect the LCD, if doesn't work - replace the LCD.

You warmed the OMAP? Interesting....

This problem sounds really complicated.
And im quite surprised of your 'warming' method.

I've had the exact same problem combined with the fact that my touch was resetting constantly. I was about a minute away from throwing it out of the window when I tried the plastic-piece-on-omap processor-technique described in one of the threads here. It solved the rebooting problem, but not the white screen issue. After a very frustrating couple of days where the screen started to blink and shake and then eventually turned to white alltogether, I lowered my brightness to the second stop from start, and since then I haven't experienced the white screen anymore. I believe it is heatrelated.
Whilst not being a full solution to the problem, at least it renders the phone usable.

Heating the device very seldomly solves anything, but causes more problems that you originally started with.

iam using htc touch (p 3450) for nearly 18 months . (bought & using it in india ) my hand set fell two times in water and about 15 times fell on the floor (from shirt pocket) . still its working fine .
and iam using "opera mini " for browsing the internet . for some sites iam using "opera mobile " . when iam on opera mini , continueously for long ours , suddenly it turns white . never come to normal screen unless restarted . but it happens sometimes , may be because of memory or heating up of some H/W .

my htc touch elf hat a similary issue, and my father just "wringed" it gently until the white screen disappeared. You should try it carefully, since it may help and it won't harm. Just take in in both hands and turn them in the opposite direction, so that the case gets slightly twisted.
If that doesn't help you should open it and check the LCD flat cable connector...

Again - flex connector problem. 'Wringing' it gently will eventually result in your LCD cracking, by all means - go for it, it will solve your white screen problem. Permanently.

Display problem ?!

4 days ago I spilled cleaning chemicals to the display HD 2 works correctly except that the chemical stains on display are present
Is it possible to repair device without replacing the display, or something more?
If the answer is no, please, what is needed to replace

i think u have to replace the digitizer.. just google for htc hd2 digitizer and u will find something
i dont know if there are methods to repair that screen.. i dont think so :/

My Lg g2 have a red flashing led but not start

I'm here because i've a little problem with my d802. Few months ago, i've break my motherboard (i've shorted the capacitors with a screwdriver.. -_-). But now i've buy a new motherboard for my lg g2, she was tested and she work.
I've an idea but not sure if it's the problem : I've don't use my phone and the parts during a long time, may be the battery was drained at 100% and she die ?. anyway, have you got a solution for this problem ?

Today I went to the mobile repair shop to establish a diagnosis.
the guy changed the battery, the phone started , until then, I was happy !
When , just after the boot logo I could see a fabulous " white noise " on my screen .
In my head, I said " if the phone starts, is that it has a charged battery , the problem was not the battery.

And I say that it's just me flex cable is dead, what do you think ?
If you think it may be the case this will encourage me to order the part .
To tell a little about my life, I have been fortunate to have the free diagnosis , I did just order the parts myself : p

LG D802 (G2), bcklight to lcd...glue or oil or..... ???

Hi, got a poorly repaired LG G2 here. Screen was replaced by some butcher, it functioned for a while (so i hearth).......and now ive got it. I want to know if its worth to spent 50 for a replacement screen (bcklight, lcd, digi).
Funny thing is, this seems to be the only phone on earth were the lcd and bcklight are stop sticking together. Ive got in the one hand the phone with still the backlight init and it works fine, verry bright and i also here some sounds when booting up the phone. So must be the screen......got the lcd and digitizer glued togheter with that UV stuff but my question is how sticks the backlight normaly to the lcd??? There was some heavy oily substance between those....i wiped it away, never seen it before i thought bubaai...and f i need it ill replace it
So, why is there blackscreen only? Do i need to buy a new screen, the all in one solution....but its not clear on al websites if this is with the backlight and also the screen was allready replaced, phisicly everything seems to be ok? Or do i only need some special phone oil LOL, this is just weird???
