Hello,
My Nexus 4 yesterday and today is freezing, when the phone is a little bit hot.
When I open Whats'App, I can't get the keyboard, below it's freezing.
Sometimes it's respondse when I lock and Unlock the phone.
What is this?
I did a clean reset, stock rom, another rom, from the beginnen again, root, TWRP update, but still it's frees when it's a little bit hot.
I have now Euporia ROM.
Also It freez sometimes in TWRP, If i do 3 seconds nothing, than It's frees..
Edit: My Whats'App keyboard, only response when I switch my phone to Horizontal and the screen turns, Then I can open Whats'App. On normale mode (vertical) it's doens't open the keyboard, onle the recorder work's.
It's seems, the screen is not responding in the middle above the navbar..
What Can I do?
Settings/menu works overall.
Could you please test the display by enabling developer options and then enabling "show touches", then run your finger vertically and horizontally across the entire screen to see if it is a hardware issue.

I have a problem: when I touch the screen three times in rapid succession, the terminal zooms in on the part where I touched it. It would be possible to disable this setting because it becomes very annoying during games. If it is, where do I turn off it?
Hi guys, I have experienced a number of screen relates issues on my D800 since the Lollipop upgrade. I am pure stock, took the upgrade OTA from ATT.
1. Knock on stopped working. Knock off works OK. I tried all of the suggestions online, update touch firmware, etc. but still no help. This is no big deal since I can use the back button to wake up the phone.
2. I noticed scrolling was unresponsive in Chrome but ignored it because I thought it might be me.
3. I was out and on the phone and I noticed I could not hear her well all of a sudden and then the call got disconnected. I tried to put my PIN in to unlock the phone but that area of the screen was totally unresponsive to touch. I could enter the numbers in the second row of the grid but there is a 1 in my pin and that would not register. I restarted a bunch of times which I had to do only with buttons because I could not click 'OK' on the screen to confirm the restart. I got a screen on the phone saying my screen was unresponsive and this is how to answer calls only with the buttons etc.
I got home and used by OTG mouse connection to enter my pin and navigate the phone. I did a factory reset which I had never done before. The responsiveness seems better now. There seems to be one section of the screen that is unresponsive, right near the middle. I can't click on any of the icons in the second row from the bottom. I can get to the notification shade which I don't think I could do before.
I am attaching an image of a memo where I just ran my finger up and down the screen without lifting it. You can see the dead area.
Has anyone had this problem or knows of any solution? Thanks very much.

I just RMA'd it. It probably is the same problem you had but I am pretty sure I am still under warranty so I just sent it in.
The phone model is a Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime G530AZ.
It is on stock 5.1.1 firmware.
Experiencing the problems in a couple different ways. The first instance that I'll mention involves the keyboard while in the stock messaging app.
The area that you press on to bring up the keyboard in order to compose the message is completely unresponsive while the phone is turned vertical with screen in portrait mode .... now, I found out today that if I turn the phone sideways/ horizontally and the screen rotates into landscape mode, then the messaging area becomes responsive and the keyboard pops up just as it should without any problems.
The next instance with the issues that I mention is with playing certain games from the Google play store such as candy crush ... etc.
While the screen is vertical, with the rotation in portrait mode, then the touch screen becomes unresponsive with certain aspects of the game which involves usually, tracing a line with your finger across various Adams on the game screen... Though if the screen is rotated into landscape mode attempting the same action which the touchscreen was previously unresponsive to suddenly works like it should /Touchscreen working normal versus how it was working whilst in landscape mode
I know there's gotta be a fix for this I mean it really does not seem like a hardware is you though i'm not a professional So I'm reaching out to everyone here that might possibly be able to help... If anything at least maybe direct me the right direction for a fix or solution you-know-what I mean ...
Just recently achieved root user access with KingRoot apk ... Though the issues with the touchscreen began long before achieving the root user access so I'm fairly positive that that is not the reason for the problems due to that fact .
Now i've tried looking everywhere online and google search is not returning any where close to the results that I am looking for about this issue...
Any and all assistance/advice would be greatly appreciated!!
Please and thank you for your time ...
I enabled full screen with clash of clans. It didnt like the black bars on the right and left. besides one graphical error, its not too bad. However, recently, the screen becomes unresponsive. hardware buttons work, but screen is unresponsive. it forces a full reboot to get the phone to work..
Has anyone noticed this issue with any other apps? I will move it back to non full screen and see if the problem persists.
I have a Moto G4 that has had the touch screen become very erratic lately. This issue appeared shortly after a factory reset. The phone is stock, recently OTA updated to NPJ25.93-14.7. It frequently freezes and won't respond to touches of apps or the home/back/recent buttons, and won't side scroll to the next screens properly. Sometimes random apps launch on their own without any touch, and if you try to quit them with the back button they keep relaunching. The problem is intermittent.
I activated "Show Taps" in Developer Options and when the problem is happening there is a tap dot near the lower right side of the screen. It bounces up and down a little bit and vibrates sometimes. When this dot is visible tapping on anything else like app icons or buttons usually has no effect, however the taps are shown on the screen. If I hit the power button to make the screen go black it will sometimes recover when I reopen the display, other times it takes a reboot.
Wondering if it's a hardware issue, a guy at a Verizon store who seemed to know more than most said it was a faulty digitzer--it's seeing touches where there are none. I've replaced displays successfully before, would just like to have a confidence level that the digitzer is really bad before doing that, as opposed to a software or other hardware issue. Any ideas about problems that might cause this problem, like other hardware or a corrupted OTA? Seems very hardware-ish to me, but I'm no expert.
I have Drive links to a couple of short videos on the symptoms, can send links. Much appreciate any insights.
Mine has that issue as well. It will spam the 9 key on the unlock screen or anything in that spot if an app is open or what is on that spot at the home screen. I have to double unlock the phone to fix it. I guess turning the screen on and back off resets it for that session. But it's mostly every time the screen goes dark and comes back up I have to turn the screen off and back on to use the phone.
I had a similar problem and was able to send it in under warranty and get a replacement phone
G4 Digitizer or ghost touch
Apparently this is called Ghost Touch issue, and affects many phones. One solution tried is to disable Battery Optimization for System UI and Google Now Launcher in Settings>Battery>Battery Optimization. That seemed to cure it for a week or so, but the problem returned today. I can sometimes recover form it by hitting the power button to blank the screen and then reopen. Other times it requires a reboot. I see all kinds of alleged solutions out there from dimming the brightness to removing tempered glass protector to using a slow charger, but those don't seem like real fixes but workarounds (if they even work at all). Any other ideas?
