Please provide more information. How did your photos disappear? Saying they're 'lost' isn't very informative.
To have your internal storage recognised, make sure before connecting your G2 to the PC you go Settings > PC Connection > Set USB connection method and set it to "Media Sync (MTP)". This will set up USB connectivity for transferring images, music, videos and documents.
Unless you give us any extra information about how the files got deleted, there isn't specific help we can give you.
so far what I can tell you:
if files got deleted by mistake... well, its easy then.
I suggest rooting your device - ioroot
Than install Undeleter
Try this and post us the outcome.

it wasn't by mistake, data deleted accidentally with unpluging usb cable .
is there any way instead of rooting?
Two things from my experience. First one has to be sure to select the correct mode for the USB connection and there may well be ".nomedia" files in directories where images are stored which would prevent say Gallery from seeing them.

for example remo programe for recovery can not detect my phone to recovery my images.
If you know some linux knowledge you can use testdisk. But you need to be rooted. DONT INSTALL AND DOWNLOAD ON THE PHONE any recovery programs . Because it overrite your old data. And all datas will be unrecoverable. Ioroot fine works (it just installs su and supersu.apk on system partition so it wont hurt your data.) Here is more info....

If you want to download it as text it is here. from management.

I just said to you if you root your phone, you will probably recover your files but if you dont have root acces you can recover your some folders maybe it will be hurt. So you need to think which one is important "varranty of the phone or recoverable data". But maybe you recover some folders, not all via usb otg. It wont overwrite your old data so if you dont wanna be root (i really dont understand you why you dont wanna be root ) you must use some app on play store and recover your pics and others.. ))

hey, i send my broken screen galaxy s4 too samsung in israel and those sons of b*tches formated my device with no reason and without asking me. and no, not wipe data- full format, that formated all my 5000 photos from the last 4-5 years...
i understood that if i want to recover with dr.fone i need UMS, but the galaxy is MTP. so i rooted my S4 even though i didn't want to play with root in this device. then, i saw that i can use the ums only for external memory and not for internal, so i can't use any recovery program.
any advices on what can i do?? it's really important to me...
Galaxy S4 recovery always wipes Internal SD when wiping data. It's a shame really.
I always use Google Plus Backup and Dropbox Backup so I always have a way to recover them.
You should consider doing this next time.

I think it would helpful if you could post in the forum so others who might have the same problem can benefit from the solution, unless you're solution is a paid solution or you charge to provide the solution, then it would be whole other story

Recover your Images & Videos.
Alright then, as I said here is the solution:
Requirements:
Extra Card Reader(if your phone isn't recognizing by PC)
ZAR recovery -> Get it from here
Now,
Just plug in your Memory card in SdCard Reader (or phone if your PC recognized it as Removable disk)
Code:
Go to Start->Run-> type cmd & hit enter (Command Prompt will be opened)
type chkdsk /x /f "your Drive extension"(without Quotes like [B]f:[/B])
After completion of reading all sectors with command prompt, just close the window & start ZAR Recovery.
In ZAR recovery,
Now, it will detect your drive then choose your Drive.
it will show 3 options -> Choose 1st one for Image & video ( for free )
Give it path to save files of Video & Pics.
Click on Start.
It will recover your Images & Videos. But do it correctly.:good:
Hope you will recover all of your Images & stuff.

Hi guys,
I created this tool so you can backup the partitions for the Sprint Galaxy S5.
This is IMPORTANT because the tools available at the moment don't backup your data properly. Trust me you don't want to corrupt your modem and then don't have a backup to restore it as they are easily corrupted when you play with network locks.

What format does this backup to and how to restore?
Sent from my SM-G900P using XDA Free mobile app
This backup to bin format. This means it's a copy of the bytes of the partitions in your phone. I did not create a restore function yet but can be added on the next version as well as support to more devices.
Only G900P ?
Yes at the moment this is the only supported phone.

Is this an automated dd process? I looked at it quickly and it appears that it is. Just curious.

This tool is an quick tool that I created that is an automated process that uses adb to connect to the phone and create a backup and save them to the PC. This is because the available tools did not backup the correct information or are partial backups that are useless. I didn't add a verification for to see if the phone is connected but can be added later on. The files are stored in the same folder as the exe.
Requirements: Usb Debugging enabled only.

Still same results, i see commands being processed by the phone but they're all remove commands for the BIN's its supposed to have created, from the sdcard partition. Yet i still dont find these files in the STool folder or anywhere on my phone. That and it seems to backup/dump everything so quickly its hard to believe its writing to anything unless these partitions are SUPER small. Wonder if i need to flash back to a stock rom and try from there since i recently flashed over to RDDT fo play with the WiFi calling feature. I'll flash back to stock and see if that makes a difference.
Thanks again for your work on this!
Hey
Same thing on my side, I read it but cant seem to find the file and Im on stock....???
I guys sorry for the confusion it appears that any way this is not the way to backup the data specially for the modem.
Samsung really lock this thing down and encrypted the partitions for nv ram and isolated them through hardware encrypted communicators.
i have found how to access those files i will let you know as soon as it is ready.

You might search for the key word photo recovery in google play store. However, upon installing such application some of the storage sectors on the internal memory might be overwritten (depends on how full the the internal storage space is).
In case you do not want to do that and have a computer available you can search for the tool photorec (freeware). It's available for various operating systems.
For M$ you need to install the proper usb drivers for the phone (description elsewhere in this forum) and when the phone is recognized you start photorec by following the hints displayed by the program.
For a linux distribution you need the proper adb bridge and some knowledge on how to mount the phones internal memory as a drive and try photorec. As far as I remember some older versions of Android had a recover utility installed that could be used by executing it thru the adb shell.
For Mac I do not know because I don't own one.
Yes, it is possible. see this samsung galaxy data recovery solution which is easy to follow and helped me before.
Hi,
I ran over my phone. The screen does not work anymore. When I connect the phone to my computer, I get a notification saying that the device can perform faster. So the computer obviously sees the phone. I also see the phone in the device manager, but I do not see it in my computer. The only reason I want to access it, is to download some pictures that were stupidly saved on the device instead of the sd card. Any ideas how to access my pictures?!
Thanks,
G
p.s. My phone backs up pictures to my google+ account, but I am not sure if it does that to ALL pictures, or only to the ones that were on the sd card?! No way for me to check as of right now, what pictures did in fact got backed up.
Anyone?!
How on earth did you manage to run over your phone?
Did you have USB debugging enabled before the screen broke?
Did you have a lockscreen security other than swipe or none?

If you did have USB debugging enabled, you can try copying the entire content through ADB.
Use 'adb pull /sdcard/ /sdcard/'. This will copy all internal files into your C:\SDcard directory. Be advised, this could take quite a while depending on how much data it is.

Hey,
I finally got a chance to try ADB. The problem is, I get "device unauthorized". I did a google search and pretty much every search result says the same, "... go into the settings and change...". As you know, I cannot do that since my screen is not working. I guess my only option is to get a new screen.
Thanks again,

I must be doing something stupid, but no matter what combination of options I user in Developer Options and USB transfer type, AFT does not recognize the device and asked to restart or reattach. What am I missing? Thanks in advance. p.s. I made the switch from an iPhone and have forgotten most of the Android stuff I knew several years ago.

It unfortunately does not work.
Download Smart Switch from here: http://www.samsung.com/us/smart-switch/assets/downloads/SmartSwitch_Mac_setup.dmg
Once it has been downloaded, it will tell you to unlock your phone and connect it.
Once that has been done, click the down arrow beside "Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge"; You will see a folder beside Internal Memory, so click on that folder, and from here, it will look similar to Android File Transfer.
You should be able to drag and drop files into the folders, create new folders, move sh*t around, etc.
Thanks. I'll give it a shot. When I first used the other day I didn't see the file transfer capability, only the basic backup and restore functions.

Yeah unfortunately this is the only way I found to do it on a Mac.
Mac and Android don't really go well together
Worked perfectly. Too bad AFT doesn't work. I assume Google will update to support this phone. Again, thanks.
But Smart Switch is painfully slow in file transfer. There has got to be a way to get AFT working again. Mine just stopped, and when connecting the device, USB debugging on or off, the phone does not ask me if I want to allow the file transfer. I think mine stopped working after installing SideSync, and I never had Kies installed so that solution does not apply. This should not be rocket science!
