[Q] 900w8 Rogers issue - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So here's my problem. I have a Rogers 900W8 and I've played around with it. I rooted it with Phiztouch, flashed Fusion and Gapps and didn't like it. Flashed back to OEM and no issue. Tried installing a stripped down version of Lollipop and found it had issues so I gave up and decided to flash back to OEM. My OEM software is from Sams and now my background apps are Bell on the second round. WTF?? I've downloaded every "roger" labeled file from Sams and everyone flashes the same. (via ODIN of course). The only reason I care is because I still have a credit on my Suretap sim card I want to use and now it won't acknowledge it. Help please

Keep it simple, use the Kies software, put your phone in Download mode, connect to PC/Mac, and then select under tools, emergency firmware recovery. Should go ahead and restore phone to original rogers state.

I tried you suggestion, didn't work. It won't let me attempt anything

So I played around and figured out how to get Kies3 to do the emergency software install. Turns out it was my old laptop having a software issue with 32bit windows.... my wifes newer laptop worked perfectly.
Now, I've done process and seen the issue. When Kies sees my software it clearly identifies Bell as the carrier specific. When I start the firmware install, by serial number.... It shows that RWC is now selected to install. Following thorough, the software gets downloaded and installed and It's still Bell..... WTF? When I plug back in to Kies to confirm, sure enough.... BMC pops up. Am I missing a step? Like a battery pull at a key moment?

[SOLVED] Kies and Galaxy S problem

I finally managed to upgrade SGS firmware through Kies because I found a solution on how to connect Kies to Samsung Galaxy S. The solution is quite long though, but the end result is worth it. I now can connect Kies to SGS successfully all the time.
I live in Indonesia, bought the phone from a gadgets store. The phone is unlocked/sim free/unbranded.
The original firmware code (dial *#1234#):
PDA: I9000DXJF4
Phone: Unknown <-- what the ??
CSC: I9000OLBJF4
And this is what I've done:
Downloading and installing Kies from Australia instead of Indonesia. The version number is higher 1.5.1.10083. The important 64-bit drivers already included. Installed smoothly on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, but had driver problem in Windows Vista Home 32-bit. I don't bother to try to reinstall Kies in Vista again though, so I don't know if this version is really not working in Vista 32-bit. UPDATE: This version is working in Vista 32-bit and Win7 64-bit!
Press/dial *#272*HhMm# (Hh and Mm is hour and minute in 24H format, 2 digits) then select the code from the list equal to "Sales Code" at the top, which is XSE (Indonesia), and press Install. Warning, this step will erase the internal SD card. Make backup first if you must.
After the installation from step two is completed, the phone will reboot itself. To make sure that everything is still working (no more downloaded Applications or Contacts though, everything was wiped out), I did reboot the phone once again. The phone works normally. But my phone type was still "Unknown" at this point.
Without changing any setting in the phone and Kies, I connect the USB to the phone, Kies fired up automatically, and voila! My phone was detected, and Kies also gave me a notification that a new firmware is available (I9000DXJG4). So, I downloaded and applied the firmware.
New firmware installed successfully. Works better and faster/smoother than DXJF4. GPS is much better now. Love it. Dial *#1234# gives me this now:
PDA: I9000DXJG4
Phone: I9000DXJG4 <-- yay!
CSC: I9000OLBJG4
In this firmware, Samsung also includes an application/widget called "Task Manager", which is pretty much like those "Task Killer" apps in the market.
And now, The Buts!
YouTube (APK) is not working. In JF4 it worked well.
Android Market now can't download every item I selected, but it can show the list normally. I did login successfully using my Google account.
Samsung Kies detected the phone but now giving me this warning "The SIM card is not inserted, can continue communication". The SIM card is inside the phone!
Samsung Kies really gives me a headache, literally. Old problems fixed, new problems arise. Anyone knows how to solve that three problems? Please?
Or, should I redo the *#272*HhMm# procedure once again after installing the new firmware?
Did some experiment and it was a success.
So, I did a Factory Reset. All caches and some data are gone, but all downloaded applications and contacts are still intact. YouTube (APK) is now working and I can access Android Market again. The big downside: My phone type is back to "Unknown"!
Next, I dialed *#272*HhMm# again, let the phone reboot and setting up itself. And voila! The phone type is back to normal again "I9000DXJG4".
YouTube app and Android Market is still working normally. I haven't try to connect the phone to Kies though.
I read somewhere in xda-developer forum that after upgrading (and downgrading maybe?) the phone firmware you need to do a Factory Reset first, so you need to backup your data before upgrading/downgrading.
I think that's the answer of my question above. And dialing *#272... completes the whole process in my case.
My impression of JG4? It's fast and responsive. It's a great piece of firmware.
KIES recognize Galaxy S without problem!
Well, the fix I've listed above work very, very well!
Kies now will recognize the phone correctly. And I can make backup of my contacts or upgrading the firmware through Kies.
I'm very happy with Samsung Galaxy S and Kies now!
awright. gotta try this trick )

were u able to use 3 button combo after that?
My fix
Whenever my SGS is no longer seen by Kies (Win7 x64):
Close Kies and the tray icon
Stop Kies mode on the phone
Disconnect phone
Connect phone
Put phone in Kies mode
Wait for Win7 to settle
Go into Windows Device Manager
Delete the phone from "Mobile Devices" (you may even see it with an "!" icon which is what put me onto this method)
Stop Kies mode on the phone
Disconnect phone
Run Kies
Connect phone
Put phone in Kies mode
Windows then re-detects the phone and after a short while so does Kies.
Hasn't failed yet.

Lucky for me, the 3 button combo problem is not an issue for my hardware. Before I finally "found" those steps above, I once used a 3 button combo step to fix KIES problem as said in this forum or other forum, I forgot.
The 3 button combo problem is related to defective hardware rather than firmware I guess.

From my experience, whenever KIES can't detect my SGS, it also means that the IMEI number in my SGS is gone and listed as Unknown. KIES needs IMEI number to be present.
The source of my IMEI problem is quite surprising: the One Click Lag Fix. Whenever OCLF is activated, IMEI number is listed as Unknown, and KIES can't find the phone, and vice versa.
However, I'm quite sure that my problem with OCLF and the missing IMEI number is not a common problem, because there were no reports about this in XDA forums.

Wont connect

Okay here is the run down...
I bought a rooted vibrant phone with Froyo2.2 installed already off ebay.
I just received the phone today so I used Odin to flash back everything to the original firmware and roms, so that I can unlock my phone.
As apparently, you it has not been tested on froyo2.2 and I did not want to try it. Everything worked well, and it flashed back succesfully according to Odin.
I have all the firmware from Samsung downloaded and installed. Now I am trying to Unlock my phone using the downloaded 1 click script that is available on the forums on this site. But it is giving me an error when i run it.
*It says "server not running"* Error: Unable to find file
I seem not to be able to connect my device using the massage storage with USB...
I am not sure if that is the reason... I can connect through the PC Route way... But I am pretty sure you need to do it through the massage storage. I tried turning both on and off the Debuggage mode, but still dident work.
Any ideas or thoughts?
The phone did not come with the original sim card from Tmobile... So there is no Sim card inside the phone.
Does this make a difference?
Any help would be awesome...
Thanks in Advance!

Mobile data stuck on EDGE

Hello everyone, i'm new to XDA forums and hopefully i'll find a solution to my problem here.
I am always stuck on EDGE (E) when it comes to mobile network usage, regardless of where i am. I've tried using my SIM card in another phone and it instantly goes to HSPA+ (H+).
My phone is pretty much new and i didnt mess much with it as i dont know enough about phones to play with them in that way, it has been like this ever since i took it. There is one thing that i think its most likely causing it and that is that my phone was rooted when i bought it. >>> I dont know anything about advantages/disadvantages of rooted phone and if this may or may not cause any problems but i've never had this kind of an issue before with any phone and none of my phones before were rooted. <<<
I wanted to try and unroot the device by using Mobile ODIN Pro from Google Play Store but i stopped before i even started as the PRO version that is needed for this to be done says my device is not supported and therefore i cannot buy it. I had the Lite version and there are like 4-5 features that require PRO version in order for them to be used.
I have a GT-I9505 running on 4.4.2 android version, i'm from Serbia with mts as provider for what it matters.
P.S. My network mode is set to WCDMA/GSM (auto connect), if i change it to WCDMA only i lose network completely and if i put GSM only its again back on EDGE.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Let's make sure you actually have an I9505. Try to enter download mode (shut the S4 off, then hold volume down, home, and power). The model at the top of the screen with the green Android on it is the actual model of your S4.

It is I9505 as i said. How do i leave this mode now? It says "Downloading... Do not turn off target !!" across the screen. :v
I strongly suggest you check that attitude of yours. Just because you said it doesn't mean it actually is. There have been too many instances of counterfeit phones as well as phones from another carrier being installed with I9505 ROMs and IMEI numbers and sold to the unsuspecting. The question is thus a valid one.
If you're looking to exit download mode, simply pull the battery. If you're looking to reinstall a stock ROM, then you're on the right screen. Simply connect your S4 to your computer and use the desktop version of Odin to flash the stock ROM. Now, how do you know which stock ROM you should be using? Simply tell us your carrier.

There is no attitude mate, i just told you that it is what i earlier wrote after checking it the way you told me to. Nothing more than that.
By carrier you mean my mobile provider or whatever its called? If so, Telekom Srbija (mts).
The latest ROM for your device is here. The page gives instructions on how to use the file as well as download links.
Few questions:
Will that install lollipop? If yes, is lollipop worth getting? I recently heard opposite while i was actually trying to get it. It's the only opinion that i can sort of take in count so idk if its true or not.
Will it fix the problem?
"Add the firmware file to AP / PDA"
- What is(are) AP / PDA?
"Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked"
- This is an option in Odin i suppose, if it is disregard it. If not please explain.
Edit: I've downloaded PC version of Odin and i only see AP among other boxes for files to be added. Is PDA another name for it or..?
Should i also check the little box next to where it says AP? (picture below)
There's another zip file in odin folder "S1PlugIn.bundle_141117", i suppose i shouldnt touch this as you havent mentioned it?
P.S. Sorry if my questions appear stupid but i'm facing all of this for the first time and i'm just being extra careful as i dont want to mess up something.
This is the latest ROM for your device, so it will install Android 5.0.1. I believe it to be worthwhile, but if you want Android 4.4.2 instead a download is also available for it at the same site. Will it fix the problem? It should. If it doesn't then a hardware problem is more likely.
AP and PDA are two different names for the same thing. Older versions of Odin used PDA. Checking the box next to it won't hurt, and that other file isn't something you touch.
So i need to turn off my phone, go to download mode, connect pc and phone with USB, wait for some "blue sign" from ODIN and then add the file and run Start? Re-partition is disabled by default.
Everything went smooth but the problem persists... I even changed the network mode to the new options that i got (which includes 4g if i'm not wrong).
What to do?
P.S. 5.0.1 runs really slow for me, takes double more RAM than 4.4.2 and it almost filled up my whole phone memory
Try a different sim in your phone. if you still don't get 4g then you probably have a hardware failure.

Aye... Still the same even with another sim card. I guess its hardware problem in the end. Any idea what would it cost to fix, if you know what the problem could be at all?

S4 i337M - No sound on calls (in/out) after flashing Stock 5.01 Loliipop ROM

Flashed stock 5.01 ROM and phone call function stopped working.
When calling, there is a connection but no sound can be heard on either end of call.
It WAS working briefly and briefly managed to 'fix' it. Everything else functions correctly. Wifi calling works perfect. SMS works perfect.
I have searched forums and Googled this (about 9 hours worth so today) so quite at a loss how to proceed.
Tried forums suggestions to:
- disable Google Now/OK Google voice functions
- disable S Voice functions
- removing and replacing SIM/SD card
- wiping cache
- air dusting earphone port
- clear Google Play services cache and data
- clear Drive cache
- boot into Safe Mode, still not working
Additionally tried re-wipe cache/DALVIK/data/entire device and re-installed different stock ROM, same problem
I flashed both BELL and Rogers stock Lollipop ROM from XDA post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-att/general/sgh-i337m-canadian-stock-official-t3082758) via Odin
Any suggestions???
The only thing that worked briefly was:
In App Info for the Phone App, I did 'clear data' and 'clear cache' for all THREE Phone Apps (yes, there are three, I don't know if this is normal or not as this is first time with Lollipop). This allowed the phone to work BRIEFLY, then problem returned.
Try flashing the latest stock from sammobile.com.
Hi,
Attempting this but both Bell and Rogers Lollipop firmware .ZIP are corrupt from Sammobile.com I've contacted their admin to advise of this as I have tried downloading multiple times with the same corrupt file result.
Are there any other reputable download site?

Anything to be concerned about reverting via TWRP to Kitkat
Tried Emergency Firmware recovery via KIES, no luck, re-wiped cache, did factory reset in stock recovery, still no good.
Tried swapping Sim card tray and Earphone port (had a parts phone kicking around that is stuck on boot logo ((TWRP/ODIN Flashing does not recover this phone sadly)))
Will try to revert to Kitkat via TWRP next.
Note: I AM able to make normal calls as long the device is connected via Bluetooth to my car or to my bluetooth headset. Discovered this after more googling/forum searching.

What are you using to download from sammobile? I always use a win 7 machine.
What are program is being used to unzip the rom? You're only unzipping once?
Hi,
I'm using Win7 x64 Home Premium. WinRAR to unzip.
Since posting last I have restored Nandroid backup - phone function still didn't work and Google Play Services glitched out.
So, next downloaded 4.4.2 Kitkat from Sammobile, extracted no problem, flashed via Odin (no errors)- still no phone function
Wiped phone yet again, re-installed Kitkat one more time with Odia (no errors) - still no phone function
Used Kies to do Firmware Update and Initialization, (no errors) - still no phone function
Re-wiped again and used Kies once more, this time not doing App Restore function in case there is App causing issues and not signing into Google or Samsung Account to avoid anything restoring - still not working but interestingly there was a OTA update to 5.01 that installed fine - end result... phone function still not working.
If anybody can offer me another suggestion to try, I'll be happy to attempt but at this point I'm prepared to say f**k it and buy another phone.
I've been at this since last Saturday.

After flashing with Odin, are you able to confirm that the bootloader and baseband match each other and the rom that was flashed? The imei is correctly displayed?
Since you are able to make calls via Bluetooth, are you able to hear the other party and the other party can hear you? What about calls via speakerphone?
Yes, I've attached a screenshot. Bootloader and baseband do match. This last round of install was done via OTA update that popped up after installing Kitkat. I just rolled with it as I figured if it's coming from Samsung directly, why not.
When making calls via Bluetooth, there are no issues. It functions as normal. It is just through the Phone App itself.
Interestingly, I discovered I can make outbound call no problem via Google Hangouts dialer as well. This is incredibly frustrating.

Did you try reflashing the OH1 ROM? Sounds redundant but I'm not sure what else to suggest short of putting the motherboard into another phone and trying it out.
Hi audit13,
Haven't tried installing mobo in another phone, will give that a whirl for sh*ts''grinz.
Been an incredibly frustrating process. Another interesting thing that has been happening is that I notice the boot up sequence takes a lot longer than I recall.
Have been trying to avoid using the phone.
Re-flashed OH1 using ODIN and earlier tonight, Kies. Still not working.
I'm wondering if doing something like reverting to very old ROM may do the trick instead.
Do you happen to know how old I can go? Jellybean? I will check sammobile and see what the oldest they have there.
Phone functions perfectly fine via Bluetooth still, IP calls via WhatsApp and Hangouts Dialer also work per normal. Just trying to place normal calls does not work.
Have also had bootloops lately too I notice.
You can go as far back as 4.4.2 from my experience.
You'r performing a factory wipe right after flashing in Odin?
Initial boot up after flashing and wiping usually takes a long time but it should become quicker as the cache builds up with each reboot.
@rogue_element have you found a solution?
My wife's phone is having the exact same problem.
It started happening like a couple months ago. Haven't flashed anything to it. It just suddenly happened.
Hi ImpheOtus,
No, I'm still searching for a solution. I tried reflashing and then factory reset per audit13 suggestions but still no luck. I even tried swapping the ear piece module from a parts phone and no go. Extremely frustrating. Shopping for a new phone at this point but I'm still trying for a resolution as I'm stubborn and don't like giving up.
Hi audit13,
I'm actually suspecting the something else at this point (virus/malware, etc.) in the bootloader or deeper. There has been other random odd behavior, and while I don't rule out something like a hardware problem either, the behavior has been very strange.
Perversely, my wife's phone briefly experienced the same issue as mine but it cleared up after a reboot.
I will go hunting for a tut on flashing bootloader and kernel only next to see if that helps. If you have any suggestions of where to look for tutorial and/or files please feel free.
I tried flashing 4.4.2 but no luck there either btw

Help me with flashing stock firmware

Hi
I got my wife a Samsung S8, SIM free as it was cheaper to buy the phone out right and get a 3 SIM only deal.
Only problem is because we got the phone from a online retailer, 3 won't activate the wifi calling.
So I have decided to flash the 3 S8 firmware via odin to my wife's phone but before I do that I have a few questions so I know I don't mess things up.
I will list the questions in number form so could you list the answers in number form with answer matching the question number, so I know what people are talking about.
1. When I glanced at Sammobile, I saw nothing mentioned about 3. Only thing I saw was H3G does this mean 3....if not what is 3 software listed as.
2. Will flashing this firmware wipe or factory reset her phone. (I know that I need to back things up anyway)
3. Will doing this Firmware flash void her insurance. As it's official Samsung software, I didn't think so but I want to be sure.
4. After the update will her phone be locked to 3.
5. Has anyone got any tips and guides which can help with this.
6. I hear that you can google blocked doing this type of thing, how do you get around getting blocked and if I do, how do I unblock a google blocked phones.
7. Will flashing 3 firmware actually give me wifi calling in the end.
8. After I have installed the firmware....will I receive future android/ Samsung updates. E.g. android 7 to android 8 updates, security patches and bug fixes
Thanks guys I will leave those questions for now....if I have anymore I will add them on another comment.
Hope you can help me I have attached some stuff I saw on the net incase it helps in anyway

Firstly, there are Dozens and dozens of flash guides all over the web on flashing a SS phones with ODIN, 2nd'ly, its one of the easiest phones to flash..
Before you do anything download and install the latest SS USB drivers.. plug your phone in so they are detected.. then goto>settings and turn ON USB debugging in developer options.. plug in phone again.. so the device is detected again, then unplug... this installs the (A)ndroid (D) ebug (B)ridge driver, leave USB Debugging ON..
Your questions:,,
1) Yes H3G is 3UK... also EE use wifi calling..
2) Yes, it will wipe her phone... When you download your H3G firmware.. there are 2 CSC files in the folder.. I recommend using CSC... do not use HOME_CSC
3) No it will not void the warranty... its only when you trip KNOX by rooting, or custom roms that you invalidate warranty... Stock is fine
4) Yes it will... you will have to get an Unlock code to SIM unlock her phone.. SIM Unlock.. is not Flashing a rom.. What makes SS devices so cool.. is that you can flash any stock rom from any provider.. and it doesnt affect the bootloader, so you could flash an unbranded (open), EE or O2 rom on your 3 SIM locked phone..
5) Theres so many on the web and on XDA for SS phones and ODIN flashing, just type "Galaxy S8 back to stock" into search. My advice.. READ READ and more READ the guides ALL THE WAY Through, before you do ANYTHING AT ALL.. and make sure the phone you have has no SIM locks or security locks on it before you start.
6) Never heard of this... its only a stock rom your flashing, youll be fine
7) If 3 support Wifi Calling and the Rom your flashing has it coded in, then Yes it should work fine. EE also support Wifi calling
8) Yes... its a STOCK Rom with a STock recovery and STOCK Knox... so you will recieve updates according to when they are rolled out by that prvider... So, if its a 3 Rom, youll get updates when 3 push them out... if its an O2 rom, youll get them from O2.. and so on.... That is why soo many people flash Unbranded/Unlocked Open Roms... because unlocked phones have, in the past, gotten updates first and factory unlocked phones / roms dont come with Bloatware / carrier rubbish apps installed ..

Hope this helps

Thank you so much. I will make sure to do my research. I have used odin before so I have some experience using the tool but not for big things like this. Last thing I used it for was to download TWRP to my rooted tablet.
I will also pull out her memory card so she can save her photo......she will be pissed about the wiping the phone part but if we want wifi calling then needs are a must.
Anyway of backing up her phone on a level where I can just put in her user name and password it will literally restore back to the point of the last back up....eg install all her the apps and themes the way she had them before the firmware update.
It's really important I nail this, as this is the first time we have gone SIM free and I don't want to be going back to paying extra for contracts just because we need the wifi calling. (And we both hate the three in touch app)....so my success with this will be important for the next phones we buy.

Hi....i seem of got myself in a pickle.
I read countless amounts of guides and watch loads of videos but still not gone right. (Phone isn't broken thankfully)
Basically I do everything guides tell me, but it's when I press start on odin the problem happens. It doesn't fail but it doesn't progress....on the text box it stops at a point that says Nand START (something like that) but doesn't get past that point....i sat for an hour the first time I tried it and 30 mins every time after that. Another thing it does is at the top where you get the green loading bar....that part goes white and says something like select Partition (not near my pc at the mo and when I was with the pc my wife had my phone, so couldn't take a photo)
I have 3 solutions that could be causing the problem but I just want to get a second opinion.
1. I read everywhere about device drivers and I was under the impression that they downloaded automatically when I plugged the phone to the pc....is there secondary drivers I need to download (sorry for the basic question)
2. My odin wasn't the latest version....i was using odin 3.09 and now there is odin 3.13 (I think) will using the latest version stop this problem.
3. I wonder if my antivirus is blocking it....do antivirus's ever get in the way of flashing firmware.
Hope some can help before tonight

Hi again everyone.
I feel like I am talking to myself here. I have managed to sort it.
I downloaded some secondary device drivers for her phone and then update odin to, Odin v3.12.7 and it worked first time.
I also used the original charging cable instead of the official charging cable for the gear 360 camera.
To restore her data, I backed up to samsung cloud in the settings, signed her in and restored the date I backed up....didn't originally think it would be any good but I am impressed.
Result is I have a phone that has wifi calling and I read somewhere that if you take the SIM out of your phone when you download the firmware it doesn't SIM lock the phone.....and it seems to have worked. (Not sure how true it is or if I was just lucky)
Hope this thread helps, I want to cover a few different things in it and learn something on the way.
(Thanks to the person that commented and supplied most of the info in this thread)

Hi everyone.......again.
My last post I promise.
I wrote a bit of a guide for myself for when I need to do this again. I thought would post it here so people can see it and use it if they wish.
(The notes before the method is apart of my guide. Hope it all helps)
Notes Before The Method
the cable you are using to connect to the pc should be the original charging cable. (If you don't have the original then use the one your using and see if it works but try to find a official Samsung charging cable)
Your phone needs to be at least at 60% battery.
Older phones sometimes don't work with newer versions of Odin so if this is happening download a older version.
If it's a new phone and you want to personalize it from scratch then no need to back up and restore any data.
After removing your memory card, plug it into your computer using a memory card extension and copy photos to your computer. Just in case the phone formats the memory card when entered back in to the phone, after the firmware is installed.
Method
1. Go to Sammobile via Google chrome in incognito mode. (If you don't do this they will re-direct you to a sign up page, everytime you press download)
2. Download Firmware, find this by picking the lastest firmware thats with your network and match the Baseband version or the last part of build number. (found in system info in the settings)
3. Install the latest version of Odin and install secondary device drivers on your pc/Laptop.
4. (On your mobile) back up your data in the samsung cloud.
Setting>Cloud and Accounts>Samsung Cloud>Backup settings> Back up.
If you have a memory card, move all your photos ect, to it and remove it from your phone.
5. Go into setting and tap build number 7 times to unlock developer options. After unlocking it, enter developer options and enable usb debugging.
Setting>developer options>USB Debugging.
6. Once the firmware file has stopped downloading on your pc extract it and send send it to your Downloads File.
7. Open Odin and load each part of firmware in the right box e.g. AP with AP, BL with BL, CSC with CSC ect (Do not load up Home CSC this is used for when your moving a branded device to another brand, E.g. EE to 3)
8. Before you plug your phone up to the computer. Turn your phone off and enter Odin mode(Download mode). Each device has a different way of doing this so just google how to do it on your specific device.
9. Once your phone is in download mode plug it into the computer and press start. This should take a few minutes but some files may take longer.
10. Once the Odin confirms the process is done, by showing the pass sign unplug your phone and turn it on. (First time you turn it on May take a minute or two to load. )
11. Enter your google email and password, and restore all your data on google.
12. Then enter your Samsung user and password, after that press restore and choose the date you backed up on before you flashed your phone (at point 4)
13. Enjoy....your all done.
