[Q] LG G2 (D803 - stock) Bricked - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My phone is completely unresponsive! I have not changed from the LG version of Android 4.4. A few days ago I noticed my phone shutting down and restarting a couple of times but didn't have time to look into it, later that day the phone worked fine. A few hours later it was completely unresponsive, would not take a charge (LED/screen would not come on when plugged in - tried multiple chargers and cables), no button combination was effective in getting a response. Plugged into windows 8.1 and computer searched for Qualcomm driver, but then said phone was unresponsive.
Battery was replaced about 2 months ago when phone was sent in for screen warranty repair, so I don't think it is a battery issue.
I have been searching for hours trying to find help, anything would be useful!!!!
Thanks

(T-Mobile) HTC Touch Not booting

Hi all,
I've got an 18 month old HTC touch that's running the standard shipped ROM from T-Mobile. I unlocked the phone about 8 months ago and have had no problems and the battery has always held a charge with no problems. However, yesterday morning I went to check it and it was powered off so I assumed the battery must have flattened overnight (left wi-fi on possibly?) so I plugged it into my laptop via USB to charge it but there was no activity light on the phone at all.
I then tried plugging the phone into the original mains charger and left it to charge for an hour. After doing this, I managed to get the phone to boot into the OS a couple of times but it froze after a minute or two so I had to reboot it again. I managed to get it to hard reset and rebuild correctly once but then it wouldn't boot up again?
I've since left it on charge overnight last night and have managed to get it to start a couple of times this morning but most times it hasn't got past the T-Mobile startup (IPL2.8, SPL 2.8) except for one time that it reached the green Windows Mobile screen before it just powered off again!
My initial thought was the battery isn't holding a charge so I've ordered another one to test but was hoping someone here might have an idea?
I have been able to get the phone into the bootloader a couple of times if that helps?
Thanks for any help
Steve
Hmmmmmmmmm
Try putting it in the refrigerator and see this thread

Just a quick update. I've just got my Touch/Elf back from HTC after getting a new mainboard under warranty. I didn't know the warranty situation so contacted HTC direct and they confirmed that as I got it from T-Mobile there was a 2 year warranty, even though my 12 month T-mobile contract expired 2 months ago :0).
Cheers
Steve

[Q] Nexus 7 seems to have completly died

I have searched everywhere on xda and all over the web but I just can't find a solution. This is my brothers tablet and he just can't fix it. He bought it new from Comet and used it for a few months and then rooted it. Then a few months later it wouldn't upgrade the android version. It downloaded it OTA and when it tried to install it said error. I ended up flashing the latest version which ended up unlocking the bootloader. All was fine for a while until the stock usb cable had broken, charging worked very slowly when it was in a certain position. So I tried using some other usb cables and it said it was charging but it was ridiculously slow. After several hours it only went up a few %. Then the problem got worse, the tablet said it was charging but it never seemed to go up in battery. I bought a new usb hoping it would work and nothing seemed to have changed. He kept playing on it untill the battery was so low it powered off. Then we tried charging it without powering on and it looked like it was working (black screen with a charging icon). When we tried powering on the battery icon was empty and it went back to square one in a sort of loop. I had looked everywhere and some said we had to hold power down for 30 seconds but it just did this loop over again. Holding power and volume down did nothing, so we were at this one point and it was charging for ages and I gave it another go. Still nothing and after a few attempts it just went completely black and nothing appears on the screen at all. I opened the back without tampering anything at all to see if the battery had come loose and evrything looks ok. I know the warranty has been voided by rooting, unlocking bootloader and opening the back so returning it wont help, and comet shut down a while ago so they cant help. It was quite expensive for us so I don't want to give up just yet. I hope the xda community can help
Sounds like a bad USB port.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
So you don't think the battery has any problems? If not how can I solve this problem? Can i replace the USB port or can i buy any docks?

[Q] Spontaneous Random Bricking?

So about a month ago I rooted my d800 and put CloudyStock on it. Everything was fine until a couple hours ago when I notice the LG symbol on the screen like it's restarting. I figured I had just held down power button or something but got distracted and wasn't too worried about it. Phone was probably 70% charged. An hour or so later I go to turn it on and it's totally dead. I charge it and it doesn't react to the charger at all, no lights, no charging indicator, nothing. I tried a different charger.. same thing. It's just totally bricked out of absolutely nowhere. I haven't been messing with it or anything at all since back a month ago. When the LG symbol came on I was just carrying from one room into another and hadn't been doing anything on it. I tried plugging into my computer to try some recovery magic and my computer doesn't even recognize anything is connected.
So, assuming it doesn't magically come to life in the morning, I'm guessing my only option is to pay the deductible and get it replaced. I'm just kinda confused why/how this would happen totally spontaneously. Has anyone heard of any history of something like this? Thanks!

Hard bricked note 4 and no charge in battery

The past few weeks my phone was lagging a lot and constantly freezing. Sometimes it would randomly go into download mode. A few days ago the phone completely shut off with about 20% charge left in the battery. I checked the internet found out it was hard bricked and I could fix it with a USB jig. I ordered one and tried it but it wouldn't boot into download mode. I assume it would be because there is no charge in the battery. Is there still a way of fixing it. Also I've never flashed any roms or rooted the phone so what could be the explanation for why it hard bricked in the first place.

Well, this is not an easy one. A few questions though:
- Does it still charge if you plug it in? (Are you sure the battery isn't faulty?)
- Does it do anything when trying to boot up? (Even the slightest screen flicker)
- Is it still under warranty? (Because if you haven't tinkered with it yet, it should be no problem getting it replaced).

`SM-T580. Weird issue. Charging very slow and stops charging

HI all!!
I am experiencing a very weird issue with my Samsung Galaxy Tab a 2016 SM-T580.
Few months ago, it started to charge very slowly. As it had three years and an extensive usage, I decided to change the battery, but it remained in the same situation.
When the tablet is off, it charges about 6 or 7 %, very slowly (maybe it takes about 2 or 3 hours) and afterwards it stops charging and the screen shows the warning yellow triangle with the exclamation symbol. If the tablet is on, it charges the same, about 6 or 7 % and then it stops charging.
As I said, I changed the battery with no positive result. I´ve also tried several charging cables and chargers (I have other two same model tablets and these cables and chargers are working perfectly). I have also cleaned the USB port with some cotton and alcohol, with no result. I have also checked the internal conections inside the tablet several times, and nothing.
I´ve also wiped the cache, hard formatted the tablet several times, tried with the LineageOS ROM, formatted and re-formatted the internal partitions with TWRP, re-installed the Official ROM but nothing changes. It´s still in the same situation.
I´m really thinking it is not a hardware issue but a software/firmware problem, but I do not what else to do. I guess something must be corrupted. I remember that some time ago, this tablet gave me some problems when installing the last Samsung update via OTA, but finally I was able to install it.
I was thinking to make a battery calibration, but my fear is that for that, the tablet must be charged 100% and now, it could take several days untill I get it fully charged.
The table is not rooted and it has the last official ROM from Samsung installed.
I don´t know what else to do. Any suggestion is more than wellcome. This tablet is good enough and my other two ones are working perfectly. I also changed the battery in another one of them and it´s working as the first day.
Again, I think it´s a firmware issue.
Thanks a lot in advance
