I landed on an error screen while going through an OTA update on my Yoga 8. Now the tablet gets stuck on the lenovo logo screen. I even tried booting into recovery by pressing Vol up+down+power but it takes me to lenovo logo again. please help. Its not even a month old!
Update : I figured out how to go to recovery. I did a factory reset and wipe cache partition but still the tab wont go beyond the lenovo logo. ANYBODY PLEASE HELP!
Update 2 : i think the reason due to which OTA update to fail was the fact that my tablet was rooted (using kingroot). Now i downloaded a firmware update n tried installing it through sd card but it again failed n it said "package was expecting b6000 hv". The russian link doesnt work. Can someone give me a working link to download the firmware?

Hi there,
This is my first Android tablet, and was quite impressed. I did have one problem, and that was netflix not working with the tablet. Within 5 hours of opening the box it came in, I bricked my a500. It was trying to flash the tablet with http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1178773 , since other members said it worked, but I bricked my tablet. I used CWM Recovery to flash it (after rooting of course) and I think the settings made it go to a Galaxy Tab 10.1 Setting, but I didn't know that I had hit it instead of hitting back. I flash the update, and the tablet bricks. I get a LNX checksum error every time I try to boot, and I have tried installing OTA as well as other update methods, such as sc2k's thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1129873 and http://androidforums.com/acer-iconia-tab-a500/345419-un-brick-acer-iconia-tab-a500.html . None of the above have helped, as every time I try to install any of the update.zip from a microSD card, the Android loading screen stops about a 1/4th way through and I'm left with a Yellow Warning sign. Any help would be appreciated. To be left with a bricked pad within 5 hours of receiving it is pretty depressing, and I would like to enjoy this for as long as it lasts. (I thought it would be like PSP custom firmware modding, but sadly i was wrong)
Might try this. The key is to get to a download mode and then flash.
On a droid charge for example, hold vol button down (with battery out) and then plug USB into laptop.
http://www.droidforums.net/forum/samsung-fascinate-development/88657-if-you-think-you-bricked.html
Sadly, that guide is for phones/ samsung, so I don't know what to do from there.
Maybe if I have a copy of the latest firmware, that might work. Seeing as I just got it today, it might work if I use the latest firmware (I also updated it today as well)
are you able to hold vol down and boot into cwr ?
Maybe you can find something usefull there :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1086785&page=4
first of all I don't really understand what you did.
second, the download update.zip is for asus eeepad instead of acer iconia
if ever you have a problem with an acer iconia product, i would suggest you should use a stock acer iconia 3.1 rom.
you can find it in the dev section
also don't forget to get the zip decryption tool, you can also find it in the dev section.
then once decryption is done, extract the update.zip and put it on the external sd card (which i hope you have)
once on it put the card into the appropriate place in the acer iconia
then you hit volume+ (volume plus) and the power button until it restarts. after release the power button but keep you finger int the volume+ until you see a message that it is formatting data cache etc..
then you are back to stock ACER and you take it from there to patch.b don't even try to use any other type of ROM since you don't seem to be to experienced.
hey guys/girls, so im fixing my friends phone it is a canadian Samsung galaxy note 3 (SM-N900W8) it is locked to rogers.
here is what he told me.
"I downloaded an emulator so I can play old games on it, I opened it and it didn't work so I rebooted my phone. but now it just powers on for about 8 seconds then shuts down. after about 3 hours it turned on so I went back on to the emulator and my phone started rebooting again."
it has been 3 weeks since this happened and it just keeps rebooting.
now, when I try reboot it in into recovery it stays on for 8 seconds then shuts down again. it wont even boot into the recovery.
when i try to reboot it into download mode it gets in for about 3 seconds then shuts down.
I have tried flashing cwm and twrp but download mode shuts down. the computer cant detect it quick enough.
I have checked the buttons and they were fine. not jammed.
the phone was not rooted(he wouldn't let me root it)
I need help with this. im stuck. please help me.
I thank you in advance

Try wiping system, data, cache, dalvik from your recovery if you can manage it. Also try removing SD-card if present. Some more info would be helpful for anyone trying to help you.
Hit Home, Power Up, and the Home button.
Then you'll be at the download/restart screen. After that, hit down to restart.
Thanks but i tried all of that and niether worked
Try odin
You can always download your official firmware from
sammobile.com/firmwares/
and flash it with Odin to fix bootloop problems.

The only KitKat for 6102 is cm11
If you have a white screen it usually means
1 - you flashed the wrong firmware
2 - you have a hardware fault
Goto my firmware thread and download the firmware from there
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2700169
Follow all instructions and add the following
Once you are download mode if you still have a white screen still press Vol up to start connection and carry on as per my instructions on the firmware thread
I have tried the same process as told by you but it don't seems to work the same problem continues pls tell me what should i do???
and is there any software to reset my phone and clr factory settings b'coz i can't even enter into recovery mode:crying::crying::crying:

Read the instructions fully!
You don't need recovery mode you need download mode
It will work if all instructions are followed fully from my firmware thread & add the extra instructions I gave in the previous post if you have a white screen in download mode too!
If you really can't do it or the phone has been mucked up beyond a simple firmware reflash the only thing that remains is either a jtag flash or replacement of the motherboard - both of which are pointless as will probably cost as good as the phones value
yaaaa i tried the download mode too but it seems to flash only white screen but the to i followed the process odin detected my phn then as per instructions i completed the process but then too the same problem continues and one more thing the logo of galaxy y duos comes on mirror image and in upward down direction means when you will watch it in mirror you will be able to read it...

Long as pushed Vol up to start connection when in download mode (even with the white screen)
Guess it's time for a new phone then - its not worth repairing unless you can find someone to replace the motherboard for next to nothing or maybe a jtag flash if it's just the bootloader you have corrupted but a jtag costs £200 UK so again repair shop but I'd just buy a new phone
i have successfully regained my phone back and all of the recovery mode functions are working properly now only i need is the original files of gingerbread can anyone provide me the needed files
So my tablet stucked on update menu and says no command on every one of the options that they're available.. Before that it was running okay, shutting down, restarting everything was working and it told me that i have update i downloaded it and it began its thingy i waited like 30-40 minutes nothing happened and I really panic because i don't know what do.. I turned it on and it went to the update menu and every option was saying no command. I can send pictures just tell me that you want them and I'll send them to you. Please help!

Try installing your stock rom . Hope that will fix .
On a side note, the A7-30 A3300 (april 2014) is a different product than the IdeaPad A3000 (may 2013). This forum is for the latter.
Hello everyone, I just bought a Lenovo Yoga B8080-F tablet that is stuck on lenovo logo (just lenovo, nothing else says on the display). The tablet accepts charge and will stay on on battery. I can turn it on or off but will never go past lenovo logo. No button combination on it works (vol- and power or vol+ and power, only when i press all buttons vol+ and vol- and power the tablet will vibrate but screen remains black and tablet will basically not power on at all). When I connect it to my pc it sees it as "Android bootloader interface". I have no prior knowledge what was done to it nor do I know the reason for it's current state. I would like to get it running though and all help would be greatly appreciated. I have a windows 10 pc and some knowledge regarding flashing (I did successfully root and flash a few samsung android devices in the past) but not with lenovo devices so I would be grateful if you would treat me like a complete noob. Before you tell me to search for some other topic, I did, lots of them and haven't found anyone with this specific problem. Hope you all stay safe and healthy and thanks for all help in advance.
