Hello everyone, I just bought a Lenovo Yoga B8080-F tablet that is stuck on lenovo logo (just lenovo, nothing else says on the display). The tablet accepts charge and will stay on on battery. I can turn it on or off but will never go past lenovo logo. No button combination on it works (vol- and power or vol+ and power, only when i press all buttons vol+ and vol- and power the tablet will vibrate but screen remains black and tablet will basically not power on at all). When I connect it to my pc it sees it as "Android bootloader interface". I have no prior knowledge what was done to it nor do I know the reason for it's current state. I would like to get it running though and all help would be greatly appreciated. I have a windows 10 pc and some knowledge regarding flashing (I did successfully root and flash a few samsung android devices in the past) but not with lenovo devices so I would be grateful if you would treat me like a complete noob. Before you tell me to search for some other topic, I did, lots of them and haven't found anyone with this specific problem. Hope you all stay safe and healthy and thanks for all help in advance.
Think you ask in the wrong forum, look here to find the Yoga. This is the Thinkpad forum.

Hi there, I was attempting to move from a nougat Lineage OS rom to an unofficial Oreo one and as such needed to update to an Oreo Universal Bootstack as far as I understood it. I, therefore, flashed this: A2017X_BootStack_B32_N.zip (sorry, I'm too new a user to be able to post links) file using TWRP however on reboot it appears I have completely bricked my phone. At this point I am unable to get anything to display on my phone at all, any combination of button holds yields the same result, there is a slight vibration then the led turns red for a second then switches off. Connecting it to a PC it is recognised as ZTE Handset Interface (DFU). From what I've read it appears at least with the Chinese version (that I have) that you should be able to manually get it into EDL mode though pressing the power and both volume buttons but I have had no luck with that so far. Any help is much appreciated

Hi lukeshields. It's not much help to you but I have exactly the same problem right now. If I do find a solution I will let you know.
I have heard however that with a deepflash cable, bought or one you can make at home sometimes you can boot into EDL. I have tried and it didn't work, maybe it will be different in your case.
Cheers.

Hey man, I actually literally just managed to get my phone working again. It was a pretty hands-on job but I followed the guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/how-to/guide-dfu-unbrick-guide-disassembly-t3731152 which got my phone back on the official stock and ROM. It involves taking your phone apart but it's not too tricky if you take your time and are extra careful. Good luck and thanks anyway!
I attempted to root my Galaxy Tab A 10.1 WI-FI (SM-T580), and something went wrong.
I'm very new to the android scene, and was trying to use odin to install twrp.
The install passed, and my tablet rebooted, but I didn't press up, home, and power in time, and it started the regular boot process.
I powered it off, and tried to boot with the power up, home, and power button combination, but when it booted, the tablet went to a screen with hundreds of little horizontal streaks.
I am still able to boot into the power, home, volume down combination (where you can install a custom os), but I have no idea what to do from here.
could someone please walk me through what I have to do to get my tablet back to a working state?
I'd prefer to have root access if possible, but as of right now my only concern is not owning an expensive brick.
I attempted to follow Tech Alpha's video, which was posted at the beginning of this year (February 17, 2018), and it didn't work.
I tried to use Odin3_v3.12.7 to install twrp-3.1.1-0-gtaxlwifi.img.tar to my device. and that's where the problem started.
Thanks in advance for any help with this problem.
edit:
I fixed the problem, as it turns out, all I needed to do was search for an updated version of TWRP, and it worked fine.
Hello everyone, I'm not sure this is the right forum so please advise.
I'm a software developer (C#, Visualforce) but I'm pretty much a rookie when it comes to Android. I've done some stuff, rooted a phone once... anyway, my son's (he's 5) Galaxy Tab A 8 inch tablet took a dump today. He uses it to watch youtube and do ABC mouse. Life will be hell without this...
Error today after 2 games were intalled. I'm not ruling out hardware issue but for now I'll just proceed with what I know.
Tablet won't boot, 1/2 a second after splash screen it goes to error message "Security Error: This phone has been flashed with unauthorized software & is locked. Call your mobile operator for additional support. Please note that repair / return for this issue may have additional cost"
I've tried power + vol up, pwr + vol down, both vol buttons, pwr and vol.... nothing. Always to this error screen.
So, I can't get to factory reset so I was thinking maybe it was worth flashing the entire thing. I don't know where to begin so I figured asking enthusiasts is best place to start.
Can anyone assist?
Samsung 300k tool
Can anyone tell me if Samsung 300k tool is safe? Chrome and Antivirus tells me it's a Trojan virus. No results doing an internet search. I downloaded it but am hesitant to install. Please advise.

Hello
i was opening pubg in my BS2 and suddenly the phone turned of and never open again, i tried to long press on VOLUME - and power but no way, changed and pressed VOLUME UP + Power but still same , also connected to charger but the screen doesn't respond, always off.
The only response when i connected it to my laptop and found its driver in device manager as "QUALCOM HS-USB QLOADER 9008 COM 3", i searched about this and found that the phone turned into EDL mode and need to be flashed with full firmware but i don't know which firmware should i download or which flash tool should i use.
my phone was rooted and i really don't know what to do to solve this. even support respond to my message every week and week and they will never help i know.
I have a big hope to get a help from XDA folks and i'd also mention @KM7 as he is active in BS2 things might be he can help me in this matter.
Please check attached images.
Hello bro, sorry to see you in this situation but I don't have BS2 anymore, as I upgraded to BS3Pro recently. You have to try to boot into Fastboot mode. What I've tried last time is disconnecting the USB cable and keep holding down Volume Down button + Power button for at least one whole minute. This might help you, otherwise you will have to send your phone back to get fixed.
Hello, I'm in the same situation and I really need my BS2. Is there a specific solution?
Thanks in advance,
InFuzz
