I bought a Motorola Luge, Firmware info:
System Version: 185.46.10.XT907.Verizon.en.US
Kernel Date: Aug25
My question is: Does system patch bootloader or kernel?
If its system, should'nt my bootloader unlock?
There was two .10 builds for the xt907. The first allowed for the root/boot unlock exploit and the second build patched it. If your kernel was compiled after May then you have the second build and the Trust Zone exploit has been patched.

Do you have a special developer version? If not, you have to be on firmware 98.15.66 or OLDER. Basically, your phone cannot have been updated since around March 2013. If by some miracle you still have old FW, then you can use Motopocalypse to unlock BL.
If you are on newer FW, regular XT907 and not developer, there is no way to unlock BL.
You might keep an eye on this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2679190
Right now, only phones made in 2014 can be unlocked with that method and it costs $43, but maybe someday they will have the ability to unlock 2012/2013 phones.
OR you could try writing persuasive letters to Verizon's Corporate Office.
I have bought verison Droid razor m already on kitkat 183.46.15 and now I want to unlock its bootloader.
I have searched a lot but didnt find any thing but bricked it three times. please help me with complete process My phone is rooted.
Thanx
any developer here can't wait now
See this post.
"If your kernel date is June 3rd or later, you cannot unlock your bootloader."
There's a link in that post that will tell you how to determine the date of the kernel.
See the first post in the first Sticky in the General section: If you have firmware 182/183.46.15, there is currently no way to unlock your bootloader.

Annoying my kernal build date is july 29th with a locke bootloader my phone is usless Developers please do something find a way
You don't need developers, you need security professionals.
Motorola has had the hardest bootloaders to exploit. In fact, Dan Rosenberg was the first to unlock moto bootloaders starting with the Droid Razr M/HD & Atrix HD.
The exploit he used was quickly patched by Motorola on the 2nd Jellybean firmware. So the users that were unlucky and missed the Motopocalypse exploit were S.O.L. for a very long time.
When KitKat finally came out, it was discovered that Motorola forgot to include the TZ patch (with the first .10 firmware) which allowed for Motopocalypse to work again . When discovered, Moto quickly patched and pushed the second build of .10 and finally closing it off with the last .15 firmware.
At this point Razr M users are really lucky to even have root, and I doubt anybody is working on, or planning to work on, a bootloader unlock exploit for this aging device.

There was one root process that changed the kernel date to may something for a couple days. I never thought about it. But seems how I'll be unbrick in my phone and rerooting with the same method I'll be giving it a go this time to double check if it's possible by any means and will post the results for everyone later today
Like I promised. I used hydrogen to root. Re ran it after it rebooted the first time it changed the kernel back to July 29th and this time since I was rooted I didn't reboot. Now trying to figure out how to keep the kernel this time
Ok so, Ive been searching the forums but haven't found a concise answer.
Background info:
Moto G4 XT1625 (Amazon Prime ad Version)
Bootloader unlocked
Not rooted
Software Channel/Variant: amz
Current software version: MM 6.0.1
Build Number: MPJ24. 139-64
What I'd like to know is:
1.) Can i flash the stock non-amazon prime version rom for this model to my phone safely, thereby changing the software variant/channel to retus?
2.) Is the rom for MPJ24.139-63 available to flash as i want to try out the nougat soak test, and is the soak test recommended?
Cheers.

I don't think flashing a non-Amazon factory room will change the channel to retus. As for the soak test, some have had no problems and some have had problems. I can tell you that flashing the soak can stop the official update. At least it did for me when I did an official soak on my G3. Motorola wasn't a lot of help in getting it fixed but eventually one of their engineers pushed me an update.

I'm probably wrong, but I thought the prime version with ads had an un-unlockable bootloader? How did you unlock it?

I thought so too, when I saw it mentioned in the forums, I checked the website immediately and I got through by probably sheer luck.

I think you haven't written build number correctly ?
Can you put screenshot of "about phone" ?
Have you ever flashed stock ROM in past year ?
UPDATE:
That's nougat soak version !! Right ?
Nougat soak update haven't got any update, you have to flash updated official firmware yourself.
See link for how to flash latest September's security update : https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/stock-rom-npjs25-93-14-4-march-1-t3608138

you have probably flashed the soak test of android 7.0 over 6.0
Motorola have clearly said the people who have flashed soak test manually will not get OTA updates
the only way to get updates is flash the stock rom via fastboot..

Yeah..to flash the stock rom via fastboot you dont have to unlock your bootloader. And please make sure you are flashing the latest rom that is mentioned in the above reply.

There's no need for crossposting, I gave you an answer in the relock bootloader thread.
And opening a new thread didn't help either.
Your on January security patch and you need that firmware to flash or relock your bootloader.
This firmware isn't uploaded anywhere, only the indian build. So stop asking the same question over and over again, YOU CAN'T DOWNGRADE YOUR BOOTLOADER, IT WILL BRICK YOUR DEVICE.
So you have to live with an unlocked bl and as I posted to you, there's no need to relock it as you never get the status of 'this device has never been unlocked'. Btw, you never posted the reason why you want to do that.
Anyway, you have to wait until someone uploads your firmware or a newer one.
