Does this happen to you too?
Everytime I open the Drive app. It doesn't use the full screen. There's a thick black line at the bottom. imagine a black line for "soft key nav buttons" but with no buttons to press. Just a black line.
Just upgraded to the polish lollipop build

After the 3.1 update a few weeks ago I noticed that the area around the bottom of the screen just above the bottom tool bar (in landscape mode) is not responding to 'buttons' if they are in that area. I have to turn the screen to portrait mode and I can then hit the 'button'. The other odd thing is if I hit the tool bar (in landscape mode) it will pop up and be responsive with out a problem
Any ideas?

Stock or custom kernel?
Did this problem exist at all before hand? I assume not by the way you worded your question. Would you have anything against flashing back to stock again with factory images to test that issue again, and then update one more time?

Stock XOOM WIFI. It did not exist before the 3.1 update. I had not considered going back to stock but it is an idea.
Did you try to recalibrate your screen there is an app in the market that may help called touch recalibrate. Also I have a calibration ini file that you can place on the root of your SD card and reboot letting it recalibrate the touch screen? Let me know and I can send that to you?

Hi guys!
The back button of my SGS stopped working (no light and unresponsive). So I dismantled the phone in order to check if there was any problem inside of it. Apparently everything was fine, but I saw something like a transparent and knda sticky film on the capacitive buttons zones. I thought that it was just a protection and removed it. After that I assembled the phone but now the "back" and "menu" buttons are not working (no light and no response to touch).
Im sure that nothing is broken! Can you give some hints on what can I do to bring the buttons from the dead??
Tks in advance

Did you fix your capacitive keys? I was changing a frame bezel and when I was dismantle it capacitive keys flat cable snaped. I ordered a new keys kit over ebay and mount them back today. Home button is working well but capacitive keys aren't. They dont respond and no light. Tryed to do a factory reset and reboot but no luck.
If you cant find any way to repair the buttons use the MOD in my signature

The "fake" buttons are the same as the ones found on the Galaxy nexus phones. Rather than being on the bottom like our I9000 are they are on the screen. There are a number of roms you can flash if your capacitive buttons don't work. Any of the new JB roms all have these buttons in the Navigation Bar settings under rom control under SETTINGS. Hope that helped. By the way if you are going to flash a JB rom please go from gingerbread to ICS to JB in that order. If you dont you could loose your IMEI number which is important! Either way you should do a backup just in case.

Nook Color Feedback
----------------------------
Hi,
This is what I am encountering with my Nook Color currently. (Arm7 version 2 cpu)
I'm not sure if any of you guys experiencing some issues with the Wifi connection. I encounter that my Wifi network keeps dropping and disconnecting.
I have the touch screen issues, so I loaded up the Developer options show touches. I experimenting the touch screen.
I flip my nook color (where the n button is resided at the right hand corner, facing the east), the touch screen cannot seems to move and response to either of the back, home and taskbar buttons. (bottom edges)
I flip my nook color over again, (where the n button is resided at the left hand side, facing the west), the touch screen cannot seems to move and reponse the back button. (bottom edges)
Now, I flip the nook facing me. (where the n button is the south position), I loaded up some apps to type in something with the keyboard. There are some issues that I noticing, I cannot press the Backspace button, the P button, the . button, the - button,
the q button.
Once I connected to the internet, I encounter these problems. My entire touch screen tends to freeze up. The touch screen is not responsive. I cannot even power down the nook.
The touch screen keyboard too wasn't responsive at the right and left side of the edge.
I do also encounter phantom touches on my nook color touch screen. Downloading the Nook Color Calibration didn't help solving this issues.
I come across some weird errors such as "Unfortunately, cmupdater has stopped", "Unfortunately, google search has stopped". etc etc..
I would suggest you do a clean install and see what happens. It seemed to me like your partitions were corrupted somehow.

Hi...
I did a clean install.
And nothing seems to work.
How do I fix the partition?
You mean the SD card partition?
Or was it my firmware corrupted???
How do I go about doing that.

Here is my dmesg file for my nook color using CPU Arm7 revision 2.
Hi guys, I have experienced a number of screen relates issues on my D800 since the Lollipop upgrade. I am pure stock, took the upgrade OTA from ATT.
1. Knock on stopped working. Knock off works OK. I tried all of the suggestions online, update touch firmware, etc. but still no help. This is no big deal since I can use the back button to wake up the phone.
2. I noticed scrolling was unresponsive in Chrome but ignored it because I thought it might be me.
3. I was out and on the phone and I noticed I could not hear her well all of a sudden and then the call got disconnected. I tried to put my PIN in to unlock the phone but that area of the screen was totally unresponsive to touch. I could enter the numbers in the second row of the grid but there is a 1 in my pin and that would not register. I restarted a bunch of times which I had to do only with buttons because I could not click 'OK' on the screen to confirm the restart. I got a screen on the phone saying my screen was unresponsive and this is how to answer calls only with the buttons etc.
I got home and used by OTG mouse connection to enter my pin and navigate the phone. I did a factory reset which I had never done before. The responsiveness seems better now. There seems to be one section of the screen that is unresponsive, right near the middle. I can't click on any of the icons in the second row from the bottom. I can get to the notification shade which I don't think I could do before.
I am attaching an image of a memo where I just ran my finger up and down the screen without lifting it. You can see the dead area.
Has anyone had this problem or knows of any solution? Thanks very much.

I just RMA'd it. It probably is the same problem you had but I am pretty sure I am still under warranty so I just sent it in.
I was cleaning the screen with my shirt and all of a sudden, this rainbow colored grouping of pixels appeared. I presume a group of pixels have all (somehow) faulted simultaneously. It's really rather annoying as I've only had the phone for a few short months. Images posted to: http: //imgur.com/a/luyC8 - remove space between : and /

Hi... Go to the dial pad on your phone and enter *#0*# . Then click on Red, Green and Blue. This should reset the individual pixels of each color. If it doesn’t work the first time it might be worth to repeat it several times...
S7 Edge Powered by Echoe
Tried and failed
*#0*# . Then click on Red, Green and Blue.
Unfortunately, this hasn't helped. I previously attempted a pixel reset app from the play store, which utilized RGB alternating screens, this too did not work. But thankyou for your input, I appreciate it.
I have the same issue on the upper right corner also at the location where the "bend" starts.
I also have the same issue on my device, anyone found a solution yet?
