Ok. So, ive been trying to root my phone (samsung galaxy s4 [shv e330l]) and ive run into a little problem.
I ran odin and had no problems, and i ran the auto root file in the pda and only check the options 'auto-reboot' and 'f. reset time'. i started the flash and it says all threads completed (succed 1 / failed 0).
BUT, MY PHONE WONT DO ANYTHING ELSE AND IS STUCK IN ODIN MODE.
I cant even get it to go in recovery mode. Holding volume up, home, and the power keys js restart my phone but it goes back to the same screen (which is odin mode), and it still says "DOWNLOADING, DO NOT TURN
is there any way i can fix this myself, or do i have to go to the samsung center and have a technician fix my phone........
please help, many thanks

this is my first time on here and my first android phone,
i need your help, i had a rooted note 4 4.4.4 snapdragon phone i wanted to reset it all, but when i did all i get now is a recovery booting..... message and then installing system update..... and its flashing all the time, its been stuck on there for 2 hours and i have restarted it, tried the volume home and power button but nothing is working ,
please help
Paul
Pull the battery. Then boot into recovery . [press and hold simultaneously Volume Up, Home and Power/Release the buttons when the screen flickers and then wait for the Recovery Mode main screen to appear.]
Choose wipe data/clear cache. That shouldt do it
i tried all that the only thing to work was reflashing root on to it, i don't know if that was a good thing or not but at the moment its working, and restarting fine,
If its working fine now..youre problem is solved..:fingers-crossed:

You will have to flash the update using Samsung kies on your computer. Your Knox will be tripped since you've flashed cf auto root, so carrier OTA updates won't work (even if you unroot)

Hi,
i dont own a galaxy s5 but my buddy forgot the alternate password. and the fingerprint scanner is not working either.
can you tell me what the easiest way to get the phone working again?
we dont need any data to be backed up... it just has to work again.
root? factory reset ?
is a factory reset possible when the phone is locked via fingerprint scanner or password ?
thanks
Boot to recovery (Volume Up & Home & Power) from a powered off state
Factory reset and hope reactivation lock was not enabled
if it was, you'll need to flash a stock KitKat ROM to disable it
Hi everyone,
Sorry if this has been answered before but I've done some serious searching and can't find anything. I've found my old S5 to which I've forgotten the lockscreen pin. I would normally reset it using my Google account but I no longer have a sim that fits nor can I set up a new WiFi connection without access to the settings.
The device is not rooted nor do I think ISB debugging is enabled.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks, I should have made a note that I'm hoping not to have to reset it. I'd much rather be able to access it to see if I have left anything important on there.
If you flashed TWRP you might be able to wipe the security via recovery - but the security is there to prevent exactly what you are trying to do, so it won't be a couple of buttons to press
iirc, you have to adb in from recovery or something, but never done it myself
Flash TWRP with ODIN and have a google on removing lock screen security from TWRP
Or buy a SIM for £1 and top it up £5 (Or whatever your countries £ is
EDIT - Could give this a try

Make a backup in TWRP first (Could always restore the data side of the backup with TiBu after resetting which would ignore the lock I imagine)
Hey all,
So I purchased a 903F from someone yesterday, its sim unlocked it can make and receive calls etc, but the issue is (and I was aware when I purchased it) that google apps are missing for some reason. So I purchased it cheap and planned to just reflash it with Odin. Upon a little more inspection, it wont connect to Wifi because it says "unable to add wifi connection due to security policy" which ive never seen before. Backup and Reset options are grayed out so you cant reset the phone, a lot of functions seems to cause the "unable to blah blah due to security policy" which ive never seen before and cant see how to disable/change that. Doing a factory reset from recovery does nothing either.. it remains the same as before like its done no kind of wipe at all. Initially I was able to go into the bootloader using the volume down power and home combo as usual but when i attempted to flash using ODIN it failed and it had something like NON FLASH in red writing on the ODIN screen I just noticed in my peripheral. Now I cant get it into download mode at all.. is that possibly due to battery charge level? is there a specific charge level required to go into download mode? SmartSwitch downloaded the firmware and when it attempted to reboot into download mode it just turned the phone back on to its normal boot.. its all a little concerning and hopefully one of you geniuses can figure out whats going on.
Thanks in Advance!
