It's old news.
are you sure? I thought only Samsung Finland confirmed Lollipop for the Note 2, so i guess the news itself is old but it still nice to see that it wasnt a mistake made by Samsung Finland

awesome, can't wait
Samsung Denmark also confirmed the Lollipop Update for our Note 2.
http://www.samsung.com/dk/info/update.html?CID=AFL-hq-mul-0813-11000170#note
(Google translation: "Now we begin the update to the operating system Android 5.0 Lollipop. Samsung Galaxy S5 is the model that is first in line, followed Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4. Later in 2015, also Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy S5 Active, Galaxy S5 Mini, Galaxy Alpha and Galaxy Note 2 will be updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop. ")
So, it's official from divisions in Finland, Poland and Denmark. Finally, I'm starting to believe it.

Granted, the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update to the oh-so-popular Galaxy S III has been seeding at some places for more than two weeks now. But the UK owners (and those in a list of other European countries) were not lucky enough to make it in the first wave.
Starting this week though, users in UK, Ireland, France, Italy, Austria, Spain, Switzerland, and Romania are finally able to enjoy all the improvements brought by the latest Android release.
The Galaxy S III owners in the US however, are not as lucky, as there's still no certain Jelly Bean US release schedule for the Galaxy S III. All we have as a promised release date is the vague "in the coming months".
In case you're still pondering on whether the update is worth the fuss of backing up your data and reinstalling all your apps and tuning their settings, check out our Galaxy S III Jelly Bean review.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but is this not the Samsung galaxy note, forum?

yes ... but i mean that we will see official JB for our NOTE soon  countdown begins
Yes I believe we will. Samsung Canada announced that Jellybean will arrive to Canadian devices by the holiday season; which means our international versions must be getting it soon too.
Thanks for the info Sir, but let us know when it is confirmed for the GNote, Thank you & Thread...

Hello
With the S4 soon to be released (in april) theres a lot of talk about the phone on Facebook and on Twitter. It is therefore a good time to start writing on Samsungs' Facebook- and Twitter pages about the promised sources that we never recived and how you feel about that.
Hopefully we will get a response from Samsung (it has worked before) and if not we might have saved some people the trouble we have had with the lack of Exynos 4 sources.
This might be our best chanse to get the Exynos 4 sources sense Samsung probably don't wan't alot of bad pr on social networks right before the S4 going to be released.
I wounder if the S2 and S3 will stop getting official CM support sense the lack of sources is why the S4 won't get it.

Nope, given up on whining about it. The effective (and much more satisfying) tactic is never buy another Exynos device again ever.

And how is that going to give us the sources for Exynos 4?
They couldn't even release any thing. But if they loose a single sell I would be happy for it!

FNB9 is the latest stock firmware. There is an FNC4, but this is for the black edition (hence the BE).
I can't post the image because of linking restrictions, but the roadmap Samsung has for Marshmallow updates has the Indian Note5 (SM-N920G) at the top.
Any fellow Indians digging the roadmap? How long do the carriers in the USA normally take to update to the next generation of Android?
Here is the roadmap:

The S7 Nougat beta ends with PK4 build. You also get Graze UX along with Android 7.0 build. Wondering how long it will take before update hits as final version.

Right, let's hope there aren't many, like the Pixel and Nexus users have to face with. After all, Samsung has taken too much time preparing. Even the Moto G4 Nougat beta came out way before the today's beta for S7.
Please share the Rom! Extract after download.
