Samsung finally seeds Jelly Bean to UK Galaxy S III owners - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 General

Granted, the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update to the oh-so-popular Galaxy S III has been seeding at some places for more than two weeks now. But the UK owners (and those in a list of other European countries) were not lucky enough to make it in the first wave.
Starting this week though, users in UK, Ireland, France, Italy, Austria, Spain, Switzerland, and Romania are finally able to enjoy all the improvements brought by the latest Android release.
The Galaxy S III owners in the US however, are not as lucky, as there's still no certain Jelly Bean US release schedule for the Galaxy S III. All we have as a promised release date is the vague "in the coming months".
In case you're still pondering on whether the update is worth the fuss of backing up your data and reinstalling all your apps and tuning their settings, check out our Galaxy S III Jelly Bean review.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but is this not the Samsung galaxy note, forum?

yes ... but i mean that we will see official JB for our NOTE soon  countdown begins

Yes I believe we will. Samsung Canada announced that Jellybean will arrive to Canadian devices by the holiday season; which means our international versions must be getting it soon too.

Thanks for the info Sir, but let us know when it is confirmed for the GNote, Thank you & Thread...

Official word from Samsung: Galaxy s II coming in august.

All,
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2388808,00.asp
Samsung says "sometime in august". Hope I can continue waiting. Been off contract on my 3gs for 1 month and it's killing me.
Yes I read a similar article at mobile burn website that the GSII will be released most likely on the three major carriers (sorry four), not sure.
Your best bet is to buy the international version of the Galaxy SII b/c it comes completly unlock and you will take advantage of all, I mean all of its features then to buy the at&t or other American Telecom variant b/c they will mess them up very bad.
They giant telecoms will install their own software and firmware that they'll even disable the most menial features the Galaxy SII can perform and in order to fully enjoy it you'll have to end up rooting it and having to install custom ROMs (nothing wrong with that if your'll willing to take the dive), but I love my unlocked Galaxy SII.
Normally I'd know who you're talking about, except all signs have pointed towards Sprint getting one so now I'm not sure who you mean!

Well pao23 which carrier are you on now? I'm on at&t and it was convenient for me to get the unlocked Galaxy SII b/c it is compatible with at&t's HSPA+ network on frequencies of 1900/850 Mhz (which are the ones here in America on at&t), but if you have Sprint, then it uses a different technology (CDMA) not GSM/HSPA+ so you'll have to wait until the CDMA version is released by Sprint.
HEY AMERICA! I'll probably have a quad core phone by the time the SGS 2 gets onto your soil!

Woah! Nice find!
So, first date for ICS on Tab 10.1 is May2012!
Hopefully this means WiFi model is a month or so earlier.
Finally, an exact date. No more time waiting everyday xD
I guess now one way or another my wifi tab will get a good working ICS by early June. Good news.
nice find , looking forward to May!
Oh...I'm sure there will be leaks.

I wouldn't bank on it, wifi only is still on 3.1 in Canada and the only carrier to offer an upgrade is Rogers which is ridiculous as Samsung Canada have not pushed the updated to wifi only Tabs nor have they said why they haven't

Samsung Galaxy S3 spotted running official Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

http://www.androidcentral.com/samsung-galaxy-s3-spotted-running-official-android-41-jelly-bean
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33DoSZuS1ao&feature=player_embedded
Rumors have been circulating over the past couple of weeks suggesting Samsung’s hard at work on a Jelly Bean update for the (international) Galaxy S3, and that release is slated for late August or early September. Today we have the first indication of what this new software version might actually look like, as video footage of Android 4.1 on the S3 has leaked out from Mexican site AndroidMX.
The video shows exactly what we’d expect Jelly Bean on the Galaxy S3 to look like -- you’ve still got all your TouchWiz customizations there, and that’s still 90 percent of what you’ll see in normal operation. However, fancy new Jelly Bean features like Google Now and the redesigned notification area are present and accounted for.
As for speed, the S3 looks fast on Android 4.1, but then it’s pretty speedy on ICS, too, so that’s nothing new.
Regardless of how much new stuff there ends up being in this update, international Galaxy S3 owners will be hoping that the rumors of a release in the next month or so turn out to be true. We’ll certainly be crossing our fingers.

If you're a Samsung Galaxy S3 user in Canada and you still haven't gotten around to using that leaked Android 4.2.2 firmware from a few days ago, an official software update released earlier today might just be the next best thing.
According to a recent report published online at Mobile Syrup, a new software update has been pushed out for users of the Galaxy S3 through Kies as well as through over-the-air (OTA) download channels. This software update is a rather small one, but still useful in that it introduces a few much-needed improvements. The update is said to offer improved download speeds when using HSPA+ network coverage and the still-ongoing E911 dialing issue that's being affected by the usage of third-party VoIP apps.
Users who have already updated their phones to the new software — which is tagged as Android 4.1.2, version MVLDMF1 — also say that Multi-window support is now available, and responsiveness has also been improved when it comes to navigating the Gallery.
To get in on this software update, either get it through Kies or simply start the OTA update procedure. The update is currently available for users under Bell, Fido, Koodo, MTS, Rogers, and TELUS.

awesome, can't wait
Samsung Denmark also confirmed the Lollipop Update for our Note 2.
http://www.samsung.com/dk/info/update.html?CID=AFL-hq-mul-0813-11000170#note
(Google translation: "Now we begin the update to the operating system Android 5.0 Lollipop. Samsung Galaxy S5 is the model that is first in line, followed Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4. Later in 2015, also Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy S5 Active, Galaxy S5 Mini, Galaxy Alpha and Galaxy Note 2 will be updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop. ")
So, it's official from divisions in Finland, Poland and Denmark. Finally, I'm starting to believe it.
