Hi guys,
I'm thinking of getting a RAZR M and since I'm in Australia, I just want to know if XT907 roms like http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2735565 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2735587 will work on the Australian version of the RAZR M.
I've seen this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2329570 but it doesn't really say much about Cyanogenmod.
Thanks, any reply will be appreciated

There's already a thread here.
Do you know any stable CM roms? Preferably 10.1, 10.2 and 11
Thanks
DrShellgon :fingers-crossed:
You just have to look at CM's own site. The older CM10 builds are obsoleted now, the newer CM11 ROMs are here. Since most of the CM versions have never been really "stable", there's no "stable" and "RC" labels anymore, just "Nightly" and "M Snapshot". The latest Snapshot "M7" was just released yesterday.

If you're going for CM11, yes.
when i try cm 11 M7 and M6 booth file after wipe data/factory reset. install zip from sdcard these error appear
in both file
this package for xt925 xt926 xt 907vanquish_u,vanquish.scorpion mini,mb866,qinarz.asanti.asanti_c,
xt897,xt897c"devices:this is scorpion_mini_u".
e:error in /sdcard/cm11 cm-11-20140505-SNAPSHOT-M6-moto_msm8960.zip (status 7) installation aborted..
Then it seems to be a problem with the recovery.
Do you have the latest CWM (right now it's 6.0.4.4)?
Try CarbonROM, really good kitkat rom in my opinion

and as for this error you will have to add xt905 in it or remove getvar lines. google it . (not confirm. just came in my mind)
Is it possible to update to Cyanogenmod if your Razr M is already running Jelly Bean? Cos the Australian version comes preloaded with Jelly Bean and I don't know if there's any way to downgrade it back to ICS to unlock the bootloader.

No, your bootloader has to be unlocked. But since the Australian Razr M is not a Verizon phone, there's no need for exploits etc.
You can unlock it the official way.

From your URL, is this the link I should be using? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1928551
And additionally, even after unlocking the bootloader, don't I have to somehow downgrade back down to ICS to flash http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1928551
Thanks

Yes, according to the posts there it should be possible through Moto's site.

It's not about ICS, it's about having a firmware with an unpatched exploit for the unlock and the latest even was a JB one. But this is only for Verizon devices and there is no way to downgrade with a locked bootloader anyway.
So, if your bootloader is locked, you cannot downgrade. If it's unlocked you don't have to downgrade (because it would be only for the unlock...).

Thanks, but one more question: with CM11 at this link here http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Moto_msm8960_Info, is the 9.18.79 firmware JB?
It says
This can only be accomplished on stock firmware versions prior to 9.18.79

Since the builds are unified for all the 2012 Razrs, 9.18.79 is for Razr HD (yes, it's JB and the latest unlockable was JB too).
But since yesterday and the new towelroot this is already a bit outdated, because even newer KK firmwares seem to be unlockable again (until Moto patch it another time).

Oh haha thanks so much happening with the RAZR M recently. So since this info is probably outdated, should I just wait a while for everything to get up to date before thinking about flashing?
....
This is reqlly nice! What you mean with "optimised"?
Gapps and no Bloatware?
....
Thank you. I just need Playstore, not more.
What is the difference between this rom and official miui7 beta?
More languages?

Hi mate.
I have the Redmi Note 2 Prime. I am on official stable 6.7.4.0. I have flashed GAPPS with TWRP and then reflashed the stock recovery back.
However when I download the OTA update for 6.7.5.0, it ends up failing and coming up with an error when trying to install it through Mi Recovery.
I have tried the same OTA update but this time without GAPPS being flashed on the device and the update worked fine.
Do you know of a GAPPS package that works fine without breaking the OTA update functionality.

Why don't you update to MIUI 7 it's stable enough for an everyday plus it has google play so you won't even need to flash GApps unless it's to get the google now launcher or other functionality not in the play store.

Hi.
Yeah I'm familiar with the different MIUI ROM's including the ones from Xiaomi.eu.
The problem is the China DEV ROM which is on MIUI7 and the Xiaomi.eu ROM's which are based on it come pre rooted which causes a problem with some of my apps. That's why I prefer to stay on the Stable build.
The problem is, all the GAPPS packages including the ones you linked are breaking the OTA update functionality.
Thanks for sharing this one! Hopefully there will be a German translation soon but first I need to get used to MIUI. Still discovering new features on day three with this phone
For some reason root doesn't work on 5.9.11. Attached the screenshot.
Had the same issue, and needed to flash SuperSu through twrp recovery
I had already flashed supersu zip in recovery, but apparently the version I tried was too old. I flashed v2.49 and now it's working!
However, there are certain issues with the latest dev version of miui 7. Screen flickering in videos and on the launcher when switching pages, the brightness slightly changes.
Can confirm flickering it is annoying.

Root is preinstalled. You need to activate it per app in lbe security center.

You can flash this zip or you can install "Cyanogen Update Tracker" from playstore

Have fun
I'd love to hear from anyone who was previously on a CM13 ROM and then installed COS13. Do you notice any performance differences? Any notable user-facing features in COS13 that are not present in CM13? Basically is there any real reason for people like me to go back to stock and get this update?
I should mention that I am running the latest build of Sultanxda's CM13 ROM (0404).

Flash an older version of 12.1 (not the latest 12.1.1), let it update to the latest 12.1.1, then manually update the ota to 13... Or edit the updater script to skip checks for release keys..

onyone can create zip for twrp?
Just finished setting up my phone after a complete clean flash (fastboot 12.1.1 + sideloading the update) and I gotta say that it feels really snappy so far. Noticed some new strange included apps, Instagram Content, Twitter Content and Discovery. I guess the Instagram and Twitter apps have something to do with the lock screen, but I've disabled them. I have no idea what Discovery does, so if anyone has a guess I'd love to hear it.
The most interesting thing will be battery life, but my verdict on that will have to wait until I've tested it for a couple of days.
Why Redmi 4 Prime (Markw) haven't an Official TWRP build?
I don't know what's the difference between Official & Unofficial, but i think unofficial twrp seems to work flawlessly.

Anik Khan actually submit for official TWRP in past, but he is inactive for long time so we cannot get actual maintainer for official TWRP.
Also it's better use brigudav version since it's have features that official TWRP lack such as ability to backup special partition and disable dm-verity
I've seen a lot of posts and discussion on how to upgrade from Exynos, but I have a T-Mobile G950U. I am on build ZQKS. How do I go about upgrading?

Flash BQL1 firmware, then flash CRB2 from Samsung.firmware.science
Download the update.zip to your sd card, boot to recovery, flash from there. The latest is CRB3 but battery drain is terrible, but these are the latest Oreo builds for our device

It "should" be out by the end of this month, you can if you want. But it'll be OTA when it's final. So if you're on Verizon BQL1 you'll get a system update and it'll do it like that, there won't be any need to use recovery or that website.
It's up to you though, I've been running Oreo for the last month and it's been pretty good so far, SOT is around 6 hours and performance is great. Substratum just sucks is all.
