I don't recall exactly but 1 handset, 1 battery, 1 earphones (in-ear), 1 USB wall charger, 1 Data cum Charging cable, 1 screen Guard, 1 Rectangular piece of plastic with YU logo to apply the screen guard. I think that's it.

Are you using any cover? If yes please share with me the link.

No you have to purchase. ..

Well unfortunately you only get a Screen Guard that's it !
I'm using Pudini's Back Cover. I was actually not sure to buy it at first, but I was not disappointed, nice build quality and a very nice quicksand texture at the back. Also, you get a free Matt screen guard with it, like a cherry on a cake. And all of it for just Rs. 299.
My verdict : "Go For It" as soon as it gets restocked.
But if u r looking for a flip cover, sorry but I can't be of any help here

Well, a Screen Guard is a personal preference, it specifically depends on the way you handle your phone. I use it up to it's limit but at the same time I do give extra attention n care to it so that nothing ever goes wrong with it.
The Screen Guard that comes with is a Matt Finish Screen Guard and a regular one, fits in perfectly, and is free, so it doesn't matter whether you apply it or throw it away. It's not the one from the YU store with a tempered treatment but it just works fine for me.
But if you prefer A tempered screen guard, just for a little extra care, buy it on amazon, it's prize are getting lower and lower day by day, if you really are interested in buying it I would suggest to wait for a couple of days, I feel the prizes are going to go down little bit more.

So if I use it carefully then there will be no scratch right? Do you have got any scratches till now?

Not a single scratch, listen buddy, there's no thing like a good screen guard or a bad screen guard, people break their tempered glasses too, and some live with a glssy screen guard as long as their cell lasts. The thing is how well you handle your device.

you dont have a screen protector on your phone?? it shouldve came with your phone unless you got it else where. better get these
well i screwed up the one that came wit it by trying to get it perfectly on the screen, so after ripping it out over and over again i kept gettin dust on it, so i threw it away and for now i put that original one back that has the pictures on it and shows you how to tilt ur phone? u know the one that comes on it when its brand new wit "warnings" and stuff...
either way...i am about to purchase either the "Expert Shield" or the pocket solution ones and i am tryin to get some feedback on the pocket solution ones first before purchasing. as for now, i have my phone on "baby mode" and am leaving it at home
geez...no one?
Expert Shield all the way. Don't even second guess it.
Expert Shield rocks. I have used them for my Tilt and a couple of cameras. You just have be careful putting them on. It is really easy to get dust under it if your not careful. Look on eBay and you can find them for really cheap shipped from either Hong Kong or Canada. Usually around $10 - $12 shipped. They are more expensive here.

+5 to that. i'm using them now on my tilt.
they're thick, yet flexible, have yet to show any wear from the stylus, & they haven't appeared to affect the touch sensitivity either.
It's been said by someone here that the Expert Shield protectors are just as good as the Martin Fields. He ruined one of his Martin Fields and I told him to try out ES and he said it was great.
They're a lot cheaper also.

PSP Screen protector
I'm using a Hiro PSP Screen protector (cut into size) covers 99.9% of the screen almost same thickness as with martin fields, but at a fraction of the price
It also doesn't affect screen sensitivity.

I bought an Expert Shield and am VERY happpy with it. You're dead on about the dust thing and I'll add fingerprints to that list.
I did discover is that you can remove it and wash the sticky side off with warm water and a clean finger. Then pat dry lightly with lint free cloth for eye glasses. It will it go right back on just like new!!!! I did this three times in a row for fingerprints and dust that was bugging me.
Great product!!!

I'm using them, and they are ok for the money. There are better ones out there like the others are stating. But for 5 bucks, not a bad buy at all.
Also try Boxwave's ClearTouch, It's a bit pricey but man... after 2 month with this thing stick on my screen, it didn't even get a single scratch on it, hard as a rock! Also perfect fit. It's also washable and after wash it with soap and put it back on to your screen it looks like brand new... Well worth the money.
Link here.
Someone here linked them before I bought them and they are garbage. They are a pain in the ass to put on the first one I put on didnt cover enough of the screen and anything off of your fingers stays on there and its very hard to clean you have to use water. Mircofiber cloth wasnt good enough. Within two weeks it bubbled up and I had to trash the 1st one. The 2nd one that came in the pack was too big and it was also did not fit well. Oh yea
I dont recommend them.
Lifetime Shield
Invisible Shield. Thats the one.
Lifetime shield
The invisible shield does have a different feel to it, but its nothing thats a show stopper. The company is good for its work, they have already replaced one due to the lack of a camera opening for my tytn 2.

That's the stuff I used in my bathroom to frost my windows... I got it wet and slid it on.. used a squeegee and flattened it all out and 3 years later is is still sticking there.
The difference is that this is
1.) Clear
2.) Cut into the proper shape (you could do this yourself with some measuring but it saves hassle)
3.) the squeegee is probably smaller.
My bathroom windows are in a VERY humid environment... I have never had ANY peeling.
However I don't keep my bathroom windows in my pocket... so I don't know if the corners will peel up.
My main point is that for $24 of this "film" to cover a TINY phone... you can buy the same thing for $18 that would cover 10 phones... if the product works fantastic... the profit margin for them is HUGE. If it doesn't work... it's the biggest rip off ever.
See if Gila makes a clear one... get $18 worth and tinker away.

Since you've had the Fuze already... Is the shape exactly the same as the TP? It looks like sprints version is a little more round along the corners. I'd Like to go ahead and purchase one of these for the Fuze but don't want to have to send it back.

The only difference I noticed when seeing the 2 up next to each other was the shape of the speaker hole on the back, that might be enough to throw the protection off. Ask Raspster about it more, he had both the European and the Fuze at the same time, so he could tell you better than I could.
I got one, just to try it out.
Exactly as described above. Its a bit fiddly getting on but once on, it sticks very well.
Its great at sticking to flat surfaces, not so good on curves. And they don't even try and cover the corners on the device, which I would think are the places I'd want protected if I was to drop it.
The texture makes the back look very different from normal; its much nicer without the cover on. On the front, you can't really see the cover at all; edges are perfectly aligned with the phones edges.
The back and the front of the phone are covered very well. Sides not so great. Corners not at all. Front looks good. Back looks crap.
My opinion, its no way worth $24
just got mine on Friday exactly as it's described, protects almost every part of the phone with their cut out plastic shield, however as mentioned in earlier post... doesn't really cover the edges, all in all... does really stick and so far looks pretty ok with the exception of little bubbles within the shield (poor application technique)

I have used the Zagg's products (formerly Invisible Shield) on my 6800, 6700, wifes Centro and even custom ordered for my Pioneer 6800DVD in my car. I really like the product, the service is second to none... That said, I think since I have used the product and know how it performs in pockets, and how to install correctly (installed dozens of shields for myself, family and friends), I may try this new product.
Screen protection has always been great and flat surfaces (side) great as well but the corners usually give way, slide and start to bubble after about 4 months of heavy in and out of the pocket use.
This is a $24 experiment begging to happen.... now if Sprint would just release the damn phone!
I would also like to know this. Can it be removed again without leaving marks on the phone?
How scratch proof is it really?
Because of the lack of info on the site (still no video's on how to apply the thing, their forum is just about empty and they don't reply to customer questions...) they really don't seem to thrustworthy ...

I would get the one released by Zagg. They offer a lifetime replacement on all products and they will replace it no questions I know. Their stuff is nearly impossible to scratch and I TRIED just about everything to scratch it. All phones full covers are $25. Never had any bubbling issues with Zagg's products.
yes it can easily be removed without any mark left at all....I found the cover started to collect dusk a lot (it must be slightly sticky) so I removed it.

Trust me, I know oh too well the replacement process and have replaced and installed many over the last 5 years.
The fact that I know the Zagg product so well, makes the experiment more interesting. I know the Zagg stuff so well that I will know if this Clear Coat stands a chance AND since it's only $25... It might turn out to be junk, the company could not stand behind the guarantee BUT we'll see.
*Update
Just got my phone yesterday and I just ordered the Clear Coat. I'll install and do a little initial write up. I'll order the Zagg shield when it becomes available and do a comparison.
It's only money and it IS a $700 device.... (but I only paid $250 for it)
Stay tuned guys.
**Update
Just ordered a Zagg full body shield at 40% off as they just got them and were doing a Halloween special I guess. I should have the Cleat Coat on Mon/Tues and the Zagg will probably be here the week after. I think I'll install the Clear Coat first, use it for a week or so and then install the Zagg and do the same.

1-you dont need a screen protector for the HD2
the screen is s scratch resistance
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NcEaehKWr2s
there is other videos than this just search youtube
2-if you like
The screen may be glass, scratch-resistant glass too but the clue is in the name. Scratch-resistant, it's not scratch proof.
I suggest getting some screen protectors but that's just me. What harm can it do? I use a Vikuiti.
I also suggest getting a rubber case and a car holder if you need one. Check out netimes for this stuff.
another phone to send text messages with...
I suggest you buy somthing like InvisibleSHIELD, as my friend pointed out the screen is not scratch proof, also you may want to keep in mind protection of the casing!
Ignore the comments that you don't need a screen protector.
If you want a screen protector then buy one (or a few so you've got spares). There ARE people on here that have scratched their screen, in their pockets, with keys and/or change, so it can happen. It's just quite rare, hence the incorrect comments above.
Mine came with a leather pouch - the official one - and it's great. It was tight as anything when I first used it, but after a couple of days it had loosened up to perfection. It still needs to be pushed out - it won't fall - but it doesn't take a lot to get it out.
If yours doesn't come with one (some don't, unfortunately), there's plenty to choose from. Check the accessories forum where there's ongoing threads with plenty of choices.
Finally, as pointed out by BLAST3RR, GET INSURANCE!!! lol
The screen is definitely not scratch proof, I have some scuff scratches on the top right of my device from my pocket.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was picked at and ripped off, but I recon a little slightly soapy moisture will free it. It sticks using surface interaction rather than by anything glue like, so its just a case of being gentle and adding a lubricant.

good choice about insurance and screen protectors. About the case/pouch I would still wait and try to get by with the the one delieverd with the device because a new extended battery is announced to be available next month at some point. Once this is out, there will be new pouches/cases due to the extra size. Of course just if you want to keep the option of upgrading the battery ....

Not sure if you can, I yanked mine off so fast, it was like I was 5 again again on Xmass morning. I have never used screen protectors on anything and frankly I have never got a scratch, I think they are huge ripoffs. The screen on the Xoom is very tough gorilla glass.
I WOULD recommend the Motorola case that snaps around it, some people complain that you can't charge it with it closed, but that is very minor. Otherwise it's a good case. You will want a case not only to protect against droppage but to protect the screen and make it overall less slippery when you carry it (often under your arm). It also kind of Hides it, so to most people it just looks like a little black notepad, which keeps a lot of people from asking what it is.

you can use it. I kept mine on for a while yesterday until I was ready to install my screen protector. Only downside is it feels real gritty but it works fine

That is the reason I bought InvisibleShield, the same reason I got it for my phone. It helps to reduce glare and fingerprints.
I kept all the plastic on mine for about five days until my skinomi came. I didn't want a single scratch on my baby while i waited for the full carbon fiber/ screen protector to arrive! Worked fine with plastic. Edges started to peel back after a couple days, that's it.
I've had mine on since day one. Figure when it starts to come off I'll just take it off and do without. Not worried about scratches, just seemed like it'd allow me to be lazy about cleaning for a while if I kept it on over the screen.

It won't act as a screen protect as much as a figure protector lol.
I left mine on for two days till I got a real screen protector, it will work for smudges but ID be a little careful about scratches. It's a good idea though so you don't have to clean the screen before you put the real protector on

I'm sure you know most techies (and clumsy people?) like keeping their gadgets as perfect as they can. If that means covering it in damage-resistant plastic, then why not? I've never been one for screen protectors... but I definitely see the point. Full body protectors also seem very useful. You can bump into things, drop your device on the ground, put it in bags full of other stuff, throw it around (not horribly, of course) and still not have to worry about damage.
Its much better than letting that one little scratch you tried so hard to avoid get on your device. Unless you just don't care. However, after paying 100+ dollars I would surely care. Can't have expensive things that look like trash.
My original plastic is still on the face, after 5 days of use I finally took the other plastic off.
I'm having a real hard time deciding whether to put a screen protector on this thing or not. For the first time in a decade of using the stupid things I think I'm going to try going without one. I'll be heartbroken if I end up with a gash though. This is my first Gorilla Glass product so it's a foreign concept to me.

I'm having a real hard time deciding whether to put a screen protector on this thing or not. For the first time in a decade of using the stupid things I think I'm going to try going without one. I'll be heartbroken if I end up with a gash though. This is my first Gorilla Glass product so it's a foreign concept to me.

gorilla glass scratscratches surprizingly easy! And I never used to care about screen orotectors and stuff until I started reselling my gadgets on eBay. I usually get my tech on sale and end up getting same as I paid for it back with a well preserved gadget and a good listing. Plan on doing the same with my 25% off xoom in a couple months or year when the next google experience tablet is released...

No offense to anyone. I know my ancestors were immigrants too!
It's actually a compliment. When you come to America with nothing, you tend to take really good care of your stuff
But yea, us 3rd, 4th, etc gen Americans just say f'-it whatever, let me enjoy my things!

A bit rude perhaps but that's hardly trolling. I don't understand anyone in this thread either. I like to enjoy my electronics free of plastic head on right when I get them

Yep, same here but I guess I've developed a different kind of "analness" eg, instead of keeping the plastic on the leather couches, I clean and condition them every 3mos (with Lexol).
Instead of putting a screen protector on my Evo, it always flies solo in my pocket everywhere we go (keys & nicknacks go in the other) and slide it in with the screen facing my thigh
Not sure I can fit the Xoom in my pocket but it'll stay in the safety of the home most of its life.

that's a special post for people like the OP. I wrote it back in may of 2009.

Does the defy even require a case?

This phone is said to be "Life Proof", I'm about to get one and I'm not sure if I should pick up a case as well. My last phone is still in mint condition basically and that had no case so I would imagine that the Defy would be fine with out one.
Even a screen protector is that necessary? Also if anyone has any good privacy screen for the Defy link me please
Oh and Hi forums !
I would think so.
Sure, functionally it should withstand some bumps and knocks, but if you want to keep your phone in good aesthetic condition then you'll want a case. And yes, I'd recommend a screen protector. Quite a few people have unsuspectedly scratched their screens with random other things in their pocket.
Hope that helps
My Defy fell 3 times I think and not a single damage.
The defy(ivory one) don't really need a case because it has no glossy part on it compared to the black one.
Thus the ivory one has no reason to get scratched.
(the contour of the defy is made with the same material as the back cover)
A case is an option, but recomended.
I'm personally using one..
I don't use any case or screen protector and just put it in my shirt or pant pocket with nothing else. After using more than 3 months, there is no scratch but barely noticeable wear in the back cover lock button.
Hi
I don't use a case ether, but if you drop your phone the glass can break,
it is seldom, but it can happen. So its up to you if you want to stand the risk or not
greetings
I use a case and a screen protector for my Defy.
This is i did with all my PDA's from the last years and i have never reget.
When i sell them they where in so good as new condition.
I buy them from Ebay for little money. Only the screen protectors are not from a good quality from Ebay.
I normally buy a complet body cover from Zagg Invisible shield. I think its the best.
I shall soon buy only a screen protector from Zagg. I dont think you its necessary to buy a complete body cover for the Defy.
mine is a gel case simply because it is slippery as hell naked, my ZTE blade definitely felt more secure in the hand.
The gel cased isnt "sticky" like a silicone one so it slips in and out of my pockets ok but it just adds that tiny bit more grip to make the phone feel more secure.
The defy is a case for itself So why use a case? You won't use a umbrella to avoid your other umbrella to get wet!
escrivel - Very interesting logic - thanks!
But others, can someone kindly post an image of their case (WllstpM?) - thanks in advance.
This is the one i use (but in blue) http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=467128453&pf_rd_i=468294
It is a very snug fit and doesn't bulk the phone up by very much at all

I'm pretty sure I'm using the same one as well. The phone felt much more secure in my hands once I got it
The pattern on the back of mine isn't nearly as visible as that though. I can only really see it if I'm looking from the "inside" of the case (i.e. when the phone is out of it)
The only reason I have a (silicon) case is because the defy lacks an elevated edge around the screen (like some HTC-models have). Such an edge protects the screen from a direct hit falling on a hard surface with its screen (which is the weakest point in the defy imho). I don't see the need for a screenprotector, because the gorilla glass should be strong enough if you don't abuse your defy
I'm using an 'OtterBox - Commuter Case' with my Defy:

Perfect protection and nice look...

Sorry for late reply!!
I don't use a case! It's just that my Defy's color is different and some places on it are of different material compared to the back ones.. Here are images:

Wierd with two tone color of your Defy. But unique as well as this is the first time I see Defy of this white band color.
My Defy is all black and it just as naked as it is. It doesn't need any casing or screen protector. It just simply awesomely sexy this way...!
I neither use a screen protector nor a case. It simply spoils the look. And does not worth also IMHO. the one thing you can do is don't let it fall and don't put the defy on any surface with the display facing down. Like this, your defy will look cool always except the wear marks on the battery lock!
and btw this wear mark is not that much visible unless someone gives a closer look!
May be putting on a case and screen guard will be good for long run, but hey how many years you are gonna keep this thing with you? mobiles are not meant for 10 years use! For 1 or 2 years use, case is not needed.
I have used lots of touch mobiles and normal ones, none of them had any cases, neither they had any Considerable wear marks(except the itouch, that thing need a cover as the back side is of metal)
So my point is, just give some care while using it, instead of casing!
im using none of case.. its dust proof Defy

The Chinese call the white/black model panda
And a new red/black color is also announced in China.
Tmo USA has the white band. They just now began selling the black.
Buy a protector, not a case. The screen has some nicks on my girlfriends defy cause it was put in her bag with keys.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
I personally use this case almost the same asame the otter box but for a fraction of the price and shipping was as well very fast
