Hello
Please accept my apology if this has already been covered somewhere - I've looked and can't find an answer...
I have a modaco 2.2 modded Hero with the Cyanogen v1.4 Recovery Console. All has been fine but only recently I cannot create a backup using Nandroid 2.2 - I get an error saying 'Error running nandroid backup. Backup not performed'.
I also get an error when trying to restore from previous backups. I've tried deleting the Nandroid folder from my SD card and trying the backup again but this hasn't worked. The next thing I wanted to try was to remove the recovery console and reinstall it - but I simply can't find any instructions on how to do this.
Any help would be appreciated.
Try deleting some of the stuff on your sd card. I had the same issue and it turned out to be not enough room left on card to perform a backup.

Thanks hugely! That was the problem - I had recently partitioned the SD card so that I could use Apps2SD (not knowing that ModaCo's ROM has it included already) and as a result I was left with very little space on the card. So I've taken off a lot of stuff from it and it's now working!!
Happy days
Hello guys,
I know this is newbie to ask but i wanted to confirm,
I plan on installing Andriod on my HD2,
I got all things ready as per the guide,
But i want to ask if keeping the SD card empty(With nothing stored in it)
is absolutely necessary to install Android(SD installation)?
if you flash an sd rom and if you do this for the first time it is not so necessary. but after changing a few roms you may face some problems related to sd and can solve these by formatting sd.
Thnx mutil,
I will proceed with my installation without formatting,
If any problems arise I shall come back here...

Wrong forum buddy. Can't help you much as I don't think the devices are alike..
The general process is
Root the device
Flash a custom Recovery
Make a nandroid/backup through recovery
Do a full Wipe
Flash the ROM(flashable zip)
And done..
hey guys,
i just want to ask u guys , since my s4 touch part is not working and i've bought a new phone and until i find a solution for it, i wanna ask you if its possible to backup the videos, images, contacts and maybe apps to an external sdcard using the recovery mode!!
i know there is that option there, but i tried it on a 2GB sdcard it stops with an error offcourse after some while because of having about 10GB data in the phone but when i see the 2gb sdcard it had boot file and backup files in a format that i wasnt familiar with!!
i want to be sure if i bought a 8gb sdcard or 16gb external sdcard will it be worth it to recover that media, images, videos, and contacts from it??
i have s4 gt i9500 and its rooted
plz advice
thanks
I'm having a major issue with my i9500, that is continuing even after I flashed the stock rom with Odin.
It keeps saying that my Internal Storage is write protected whenever I try to delete a file using my PC. I am not sure how to fix this, I have tried reinstalling the stock rom multiple times now, still the same problem! Please help!
