hi,
You have to contact you service provider and ask them to enable it for your sim/device. Only then should you see it in your options
.Also note it has nothing to do with root.
Take into account that service provider offers LTE/4G and your device is LTE capable and you are in a LTE/4G reception area etc etc
good luck

You might have n910h if u don't have the LTE option in networks or flash different firmware

No it's 910C

My provider told me after few day samsung gives us little update that gives in our country that option

Hey bro, go to settings/more networks/mobile networks/network mode... see if you have one option with LTE/WCDMA/GSM, if you don't have it, your device is probably a clone, because 910c has the 4G option, it doesn't depends of your SIM card or 4g on your region.

Not necessarily. It could be disabled within firmware. Couple years back I had lte ready Note 2. Only after tmobile network was ready for lte OTA update enabled lte option in settings.

How to enable LTE

Hi
I ve moved from a S4 to Note 4 but cant see in mobile network the option 4G, just automatic 3G/2G and 2G. How can I enable it?
First, it's a Note 3, Note 4 yet ^^ (<- I like the word play here ^^ "not for yet" was not my initial intention ^^)
You might have the Exynos version that is not 4G compliant.
Check the version of your phone in settings : is it SM 9000 ? Or SM 9005 ?

SM9005. The telco company (Movistar) says they will launch a new ROM in a few weeks and samsung too. With S4 we could activate L4 with Service Mode menu (*#0011#) but doesnt work for Note 3....
I thought that option on the S4 was just to activate DC-HSPDA, don't think the option was anything to do with the actual bands associated with 4G "LTE".
May not work as DC may already be enabled.

With my S4 and using the same SIM card and can see the option "4G/3G/2G automatic" and conntects to LTE, with speeds 40/15. But with the Note 3 and same SIM that option is missing and only connect to 3G
I don't have that issue in my note 3 (N9005)

Hola!
So you have LTE with Movistar in Madrid, and it shows the "LTE" info?
Just curious as I have Tuenti (I know they don't have 4G yet), and next week I will be back to Ireland...
Thank you for your post, gracias!

I flashed the Polish 4.4.2, root and I have a slightly different problem: on my SM-N9005 the LTE option is available and selected but I cannot connect to the carrier's LTE network. Other phones can connect to the LTE network with this same sim card.
I think that although LTE is enabled the modem may not be setup as per Samsung new region blocking policies...
Any idea what to do to enable LTE?

Brother thank you very much. I change from false to true and now I have LTE option on my note 3 n9005. THNX!
No Lte speeds
Good day, good people, I recently purchased GN3 here in Freeport, Bahamas.
The phone came with these specs:
Product Code: TTT
PDA: N900W8UBUBMJ4
CSC: N900W8UUBBMJ2
MODEM: N900W8UBUBMJ3.... with no Lte option available in the network toggle.
After downloading the OTA update my Note then had these specs:
Product Code: TTT
PDA: N900W8UBUBMJ4
CSC: N900W8UUBBML1
MODEM: N900W8UBUBMJ3.... after which the lte option was now in place. (pics to follow)
So here's the problem, my network provider has confirmed that its lte network operates on 700MHz Class 17, I've connected with my AT&T S2 Skyrocket flawlessly, but my note seems unable to connect with the network despite all the of the correct settings being in place.
Is there something with the modem settings that I may not be aware of that could be preventing this, and is a way to change or modify it in order to get lte service? Or is there a posibilty that I have a defective unit or even a defective sim card? Thanx for you help.

Note 3 LTE no option for 4G network connection

Hello people,
I have recently acquired a Note 3 LTE (Snapdragon 800) model of the phone which is 4G compatible but for some reason, I get no option to select a 4G network. The only options I have to chose from is 3G/2G (auto connect) and 3G only. I have attached a screenshot below showing what I mean. On other Note 3 LTE phones, I've seen a different set of options such as LTE/WCDMA/GSM etc...
Why is it so? I am running the latest version of android according to Samsung update which is version 4.3. So is this a software issue or what? My service provider says that samsung should release a software update to solve this issue but I don't understand why this is the case. If anyone can clarify this issue for me I would be very glad.
Thanks!

I am in Beirut, Lebanon.
I also have a Galaxy S4 with the latest updates and I get a 4G connection in certain areas. So yes, 4G had already been activated by my provider.
I've attached another screenshot because I am not sure what you mean by firmware version.
Can you compare the S4 and Note 3 "apn settings" to see if they are the same? You might have to manually input your carrier's apn settings into the note.

The apn settings are the same since they have been both configured automatically when the service provider sent the settings to be saved.
What else could it be?

Try flashing one of the other LTE N9005 roms and see if you get the listings under settings appear( backup first). I know some roms take this option out like at&t here in the states.

Better yet try this:

Hi guys.
I am facing a somewhat similar issue. What makes it different is that I had the LTE option when I bought the Note 3, although there was no 4G service in the country at that time. However, I think it was after an update that I no longer have the LTE option available to in my network settings. Right now, in my home country, LTE hasnt yet been introduced. But like I said, there was no LTE in my previous country of residence either yet I had the LTE option.
By the way, the code *#2263# does nothing at all on my set.
Appreciate any feedback and resolutions.
Thanks

If your phone is rooted (seems like it isn't) then you can manually edit a config file to enable LTE. If not, you'll be waiting for another OTA update I think.

Hello , I have a USIM, and note3 4G ( bought from KSA and tried on 4G in Dubai and KSA) . I did not get any updates on wifi nor through kies .
Did you change you upload a new platform ( kitkat) before you got the update ? or did you just wake up and found an update ?
PS : I live in Beirut Lebanon too .
Thanks
Me too with the same problem
I bought my phone from Dubai.. i saw the LTE option when i used my phone there.. but then i flashed Poland's latest firmware and rooted my device.. now i am in South Asia , and my phone doesn't show any LTE option..! :silly: weird..
I'll say it again: Each CSC has a different list of 4G activated providers that are not directly related to the region they are in.
Which means that a device can have 4G activated for 50 providers, just not the one your SIM belongs to. As such, if you insert the SIM, the 4G toggle is disabled.
Each provider has to individually pass on the fact that they have 4G to Samsung. Even then it's not activated for each CSC.
As such, my DBT Note 3 had 4G on T-Mobile NL months before the TL and PHN ROMs had it.
Also, South Asia uses a different frequency your EU firmware can't detect.

Well if your APN settings are allright you either have no LTE coverage or it isn`t available at your provider. LTE should be activated automaticaly if available.

I`am starting to think that the G900FD supports different LTE bands then the G900F because it is build for a different region. Its mainly sold in the far east as i can see so far. Better Google to find the specs and the phones supported LTE bands. You may not be able to get LTE with your device i`am afraid. Good luck mate.

Hi guys
I also had the issue of LTE not being selectable on my S5 Duos - here's my experiences.
Firstly I tried putting another carriers SIM into the phone, and noticed that LTE -was- selectable, but upon putting my own SIM back in, it again wasn't. HOWEVER - after putting my own SIM back in after using LTE on the other SIM, the phone automatically connected to LTE/4G even though WCDMA (auto) was selected! Very odd.
To permanently fix this here was my method -
My phone was shipped with ANF7 firmware, which was patched to overcome the kernel vulnerability Towelroot uses to gain root. I flashed my phone with ODIN back to ANF6 firmware, applied towelroot V3, then installed root browser and edited the system file data >property>persist.radio.lteon and changed the value from false to true, and rebooted the phone. LTE is now selectable!
:EDIT: Upgrading again to ANF7 broke the selection, but it still connected to LTE automatically... So odd.

Hi,
I had the same issue as yours. You can either fix it by a method explained here at XDA and it involves rooting the device. However I fixed my issue by flashing the latest firmware "G900FDXXU1ANJ2" for the month of November via Odin and now I can see the LTE/WCDMA/GSM option on sim 1. Hope this helps

[Q] How to get 4G/LTE on N9005

1. Change with a root explorer of your choice (e.g. Root Explorer, Solid Explorer or EF File Explorer) the value“false”*in file*persist.radio.lteon*into*“true”*by way of build-in text editor of the root explorer. The file is located in root/data/property. Be sure permissions of*persist.radio.lteon*are set to rw, after altering the file save the file and make it read-only. Reboot your phone, now you will see and be able to pick the option* “LTE/WCDMA/GSM *(auto connect)” in Network Mode menu.*Important: before altering ANY file on your phone be sure you have a copy of the original, unaltered file!!!*Advantage of this solution: even after a phone reboot the option* “LTE/WCDMA/GSM *(auto connect)” will remain visible/activated.
2. When you are afraid or not tech-savvy enough to alter phone files you can download*“Advanced Signal Status” on Google Play. Disadvantage of this solution will be that after every phone reboot you have to start “Advanced Signal Status app” and reactivate LTE/GSM/CDMA option.
Please remember that LTE/4G will only work in area’s with LTE and your phone data-plan includes the use of LTE. Good luck and have fun!

Nope, don't care about APN at this step.
APN settings does not affect at this step.

Yes I know it doesnt support many of the LTE frequencies but I thought there was a way to enable that, but I'm not sure how.
I tried this but it doesnt seem to work, My phone already has the option LTE/WCDMA/GSM, so the wouldnt really apply to it.

I have n9005 note 3 I had to do this to get lte option.
If you have it goto network settings and change mode to LTE.

So you have LTE mode selected in settings, but it still doesn't go past H+, and you're sure you're in a 4G area?
Firmwares and secret codes aren't going to solve this.
Your provider likely uses a different frequency than the phone supports.
You could simply look up your provider frequencies and check them against the phone specs. If they don't match, game over.

Well I have the n9005 and currently is on the T-mobile US carrier. I thought n9005 has one frequency that is the same as the T-mobile 4G/LTE unless im mistaken?

The LTE frequencies for the N9005 are 800/850/900/1800/2100/2600.
T-Mobile US uses 700/1700/1900/(2100)
The 2100 overlaps, but unfortunately T-Mobile US only uses it as a support network. Meaning it's not active by default. 1900Mhz is the main network.

Wait a moment is your SIM is LTE/4G supported?
Some providers only allow you to connect to the 4G, if you have such contract. For example, I am customer of Tele2 in Estonia and I can not use 4G either, because I currently have such contract, which only permits me to use speeds upto HSPA+.

Please make sure of these:
1) LTE bands overlap between your device and the carrier.
2) The SIM card is not 3g only. Some SIM cards are LTE disabled.
3) Make sure your device is LTE authenticated through the carrier. Some carriers can limit your device to only connect to 3g to maximize the LTE for carrier-branded phones and users.
If above doesn't work, the Android 5.0.1 update is on the way with new firmware/kernels/drivers for LTE modem and radio functionalities, so I would hope for the best.
