i have just received lolipop update to my Moto X Wind mobile so exited please let me know if telus customer got it already
This is amazing news! We gotta let everyone know! You should post a thread about it!
Could anyone capture the update and post a link?
I was attempting to capture it myself using adb logcat. I didnt see a link while i was downloading it so i canceled it. went back to download it again, but now it says my phone is up to date. no more update for me
no luck restarting the phone either.

Unlikely anyone can, looks like they pulled the update as it was bricking a high percentage of phones.

Check out the Telus XT1097 thread, the last few pages we are discussing restoring the phones back to version 4.4.4.

It appears it may have just been the modem/baseband that is having issues with the Wind update. This is a total long shot but before a full reflashing etc someone with the problems should try just clearing the modem cache files. If it happens to work you won't lose any data etc.
In fastboot just run these commands:
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot reboot
See if it happens to fix the issues, if it doesn't then reflashing the 4.4.4 baseband should fix it.

Have anyone successfully done this ?
Thank you guys for help , i really dont feel like sending this out to Motorola and waiting 15 -20 days. Thats what they said it would take to fix it

Should be no issues with warranty as you're not unlocking the bootloader. If it doesn't work out just send it in as it was the proper Motorola update that nuked it to begin with.
ABOVE LINK IS WORKING DOWNLOAD. AND DO THE FOLLOWING COPIED FROM SOMEWHERE
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot reboot
NOW MY PHONE IS BACK TO NORMAL WITH LOLLIPOP

I wish someone capture the link for the OTA. I'm fine flashing the old 4.4.4 radio but I want Lollipop.
I guess I can just wait the 2-7 days that it will take for Wind to re-release this OTA update.

if you doesnt when the screen comes long press the lock button untill phone is off the try to switch on

i dont know the reason for it
Kernel panics occur when the system through a fatal error and find no more possibility will need to get the device/system alive and goes off.
its like the Bluescreen on Windows.
reasons can be: faulty memory accesses, defective hardware(not often),etc...
in the most its gone after reboot when not do a factory reset and flash new firmware.

so you mean it is the hard brick, right? and cannot the device be restored using usb jig as well?
its no hardbrick, when u have a hardbrick than your phone do nothing anymore!
Wow finally I witnessed a person who got the kernel panic mode!!
Take it to service centre and get replacement. They will take it as its a major software(?) issue
some days ago i haved a kernel panic too on my lg e610 by testing cm10.2 alpha build, after reboot it was done, but i was shocked.i have only opened the camera app for testing libs and boom.but phone worx well.

hardbrick you see when the does nothing,no boot,pc does not recognise no nothing, its dead.most in case that is when the hardware is broken, when your phone goes on and boot its not hardbricked, your screen goes on but is black you said,so the phone lives, hardbrick is the end.
and i have wiped all in rescuemodus and have flashed new firmware.but it was my lg e610.

Hey i'm just sharing what i found.
MIUI from the Chinese based on KK 4.4.2, Built with Patchrom from MIUI using Sense 6.
developed by Ry09iu

Installation
Pls note, i have i an international HTC ONE M8 with unlocked Bootloader, S-OFF and SuperCID. If you try to install when you have 4.4.3 without SuperCID it may break your device as you theory are downgrading.
Only tested on TWRP recovery, says failed at end but boots.
Download MIUI_4.4.2 from the link above
Download Gapps
Place on external SDcard
Reboot to Recovery
Flash both zips.
Reboot System.

It works in general anyway on s-off supercid. Don't know about Verizon tho.
Come on guys feedback?
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk 2
I have the t-mobile version with s-off and super cid ...this Rom is pretty smooth since it's based on sense, GPS is working, camera(HTC camera with all the goodies),sound, calls, texts (to send or receive mms use hangouts ) haven't tested Bluetooth , themes are working ,
I could test flashing it on a Verizon M8, however, do you think it will brick the device

First you need to be s-off and have supercid , if you don't have those requirements then don't even try , unless you Yolo it (which is no good lol)
I tried to flash this to my Verizon HTC One M8 with s-off and supercid and it didn't boot. It sent be back to the bootloader after I pressed reboot. So for now this doesn't work on Verizon, might have to something to do with the script installer

If this is based on sense can you maybe try flashing a verizon sense kernel via fastboot maybe that will get it to boot probably a 4.4.2 kernel
---------- Post added at 11:31 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:29 PM ----------
The reason I suggest this is because the kernel included is most likely for international version unlike the roms that support multiple carriers will flash the files and kernel required for your version of carrier. The Verizon kernel might get it to boot but you may still have issues else where like data and wifi

All you have to do is flash lollipop stock Rom via Odin. Then cf root and flash recovery. After that flash your cm13 Rom. After flash cm13 Rom then only updated your modem and boatloader. Make sure your lollipop Rom is the latest flashing.

Can I know which ver of modem and boatloader you are flashing and how you flash it? Before that your WiFi is in good condition?
I quite strange on it as flashing a wrong boatloader or modem will not have bring serious impact to the device unless you are wrong flashing in the process or some error message during flashing.
it's not the first time that i flash a modem and bootloader. until the end of process there is no error messages.
and yes before that my WiFi was work'n perfect.
after my wifi stuck i tried about 7 modems but all didn't fix my issue.
unfortunately i don't know what modem i was use before.
again thanks for your help
Flashing basebands via twrp may cause soft brick and locking of bootloader and flashing whole rom in qpst is a long process. Flashing baseband via fastboot is fast and safe.
Requirements:
1. ADB and Fastboot installed
2. ZUK USB driver
3. NON-HLOS.bin
Steps:
1. Install adb and fastboot and zuk usb driver.
2. Download modem (NON-HLOS.bin)
3. Copy it to the folder where fastboot is installed
4. Open command prompt in the same folder
5. Put this commands
Code:
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
Code:
fastboot erase modemst1
Code:
fastboot erase modemst2
Code:
fastboot reboot
NOTE: If you are using VoLte make backup of efs partition before flashing rom in twrp. Restore after flashing baseband

There is baseband v2.0
What's the procedure for that? And how to escape bootloader rebooting?
Is v2.0 any better?

Clear the cache on your Google play service, reboot your phone and try again. The changelog was wrong the first time so they might have taken it down for a second to change it.
Giving it a shot now

Wait your image says installation problem not download problem and I didn't know you were rooted so that is likely the problem (can't install the update from that menu because you're rooted) unless someone pulls the OTA file you're either gonna have to unroot or flash a previous build.

Which is why I'm requesting it be uploaded to the developer portal

Pulled this from a debug log. Stopped and started the update download.
Lol I better go plug in
Have not charged it since midday yesterday.

Careful if trying to update this while rooted. I tried the uninstall magisk, then OTA (which failed), then for some reason did install to slot. Once I rebooted, my PIN lock no longer worked. I had to factory reset my phone. It downgraded me to O-MR2-RC009-RZR-181124.2009. For some reason, I am not seeing the Pie update now.
I'm sure once I flash the factory boot image, I will be able to update and start again. I'm at work right now on a locked down computer and have to wait until I get home to try this.
So, what specifically does this latest update do? I'm looking for an in depth explanation of what changed, not just what it tells you on the update screen. Thanks
Still not installing for me. This is why I'm asking for it to be uploaded on the developer portal
Okay, I had to reinstall the last Oreo uploaded to the developer portal via Fastboot then upgrade that way. Now to wait for someone to pull the boot image

Factory Images can't be flashed so you'll need the OTA (which @jonchance_84 kindly provided) if you have a working twrp.

You sure about that? In fastboot mode commands like fastboot flash will flash the images with a unlocked bootloader.
