I never used stock KK, so my bootloader is JB booloader (or not)? I want flash worship based 20h, and I'd like to know if this rom needs a KK bootloader or with JB bootloader, works ??

Kk ROMs needs KK firmware..
Boot loader is not important, but consider upgrading from time to time for compatabi lity purposes.

First and Foremost, I would like to know if I can downgrade from 4.4.2 bootloader to 4.3. If that is possible can some one give me the link to
a stock 4.3 Rom which has seperate files for boot loader, modem,CSC etc. Thanks.

If you flash the stock 4.4.2 stock rom then you can no longer downgrade your phone to 4.3 or .4.2.2 . have a nice day.

Thats because of the boot-loader right, correct me if I'm wrong. So theoretically if we flash a JB compatible boot-loader we can downgrade to JB ROM. That's what I am thinking.
It is not possible to install an older bootloader

Hi folks!
I'm one of the the few lucky ones still being on the pre-KNOX 4.2.2, buildnumber JDQ39.I9505XXUBMGA. I own the international (swedish unbranded) version of the I9505. At the moment i have Root and a custom recovery installed, stock TouchWiz.
Now I want to discuss the pros and cons of WHETHER staying on this version, installing a custom ROM and a custom recovery OR updating to Jelly Bean 4.3 and only having the possibility to root without voiding my warranty.
I'm wondering:
Are there are any improvements in performance and stability with Jelly Bean 4.3?
Is there a stable custom ROM?
Is there a stable custom ROM that uses all the possibilties on the SGS4?
The reasons why I want to have ROOT is the annoying inability to move app data to the SD card. I don't want to void warranty.
Every answer/idea/opinion is welcome!

Hi, first of all, you lucky guy can flash every custom ROM 4.3 and also 4.4.2 when no new bootloader is included.:good:
the Samsung based ROMS are fully working. All you have to do is to flash a ROM of your choice and update your baseband. It should have the same base as the ROM. So if the ROM is based on a NB8 firmware, you have to use a NB8 baseband. But flash only the modem.bin file, not the non-hlos file.
for working wifi use a custom kernel like KT or similar.
The performance and the batterylife are in my opinion much better in 4.3 and 4.4.2.
it depends on your using.
just try a little bit. As long as you not update you bootloader, you're on the safe side.

How do I know that a custom ROM doesn't contain the new bootloader? Does the bootloader come with the kernel? If so, which kernel versions are safe? Which custom ROM without new kernel is most stable?
Do 4.3 and 4.4 run on the old kernel? Are there significant improvements in the original kernel coming with 4.3?
After reading about 4.4 I absolutely do not want to update to KitKat.
Many questions but the amount of kernels and ROMs is simply overpowering for someone who does not have the time to read every post on XDA every day.
Seeing forward to your answers.
I'm pre knox and have flashed various rims including the Google Edition roms. Currently I'm on KitKat TW rom using the pre rooted debloated version. You'll have to update to the kitkat kernel but this is included in the rom. All custom roms that are flashable via recovery will not have the new bootloader. Knox is tied into the bootloader. Why don't you want to install kitkat? It's better overall with the new kitkat features.
I run KT kernel it's a fantastic kernel in my opinion and has many tweaks.

Thank you for your answer. I read about problems accessing the SD card in KitKat. Or is this not a problem with custom ROMs? I want to be able to move app data to SD card.

Would you mind and give me the link? I want something to start with.
I'm on stock android 4.3,rooted with a tripped knox.
Will my bootloader always be 4.3 until I flash official kitkat rom?
Will/can custom KK roms change my bootloader?
Thanks
You have to upgrade bootloader through Odin if you want to flash kk custom ROMs. Custom ROMs doesn't contain bootloader as far as I know.
So yes, your bootloader will be 4.3 until you flash 4.4 with Odin.

There are some custom ROMs that provide links to JUST the bootloader itself, which you can flash by yourself in Odin, without flashing stock ROM.
Thanks for that guys but I don't want to change my bootloader, want to keep it as JB.
I tried a few KK roms and experienced problems with them, was just wondering if it was because I had JB BL.
I need to find a custom rom with JB BL now.................
Thanks
hi i was wondering what the difference of the roms for the jellybean bootloader and the kitkat bootloader? and would it easily be possible to take a rom for the jellybean bootloader and convert it to the kitkat bootloader?
thank you in advance!

Roms are recovery flashable & bootloader does not matter. Boot/kernel & radio does. If bootloader is unlocked you can run JB ROM on a KK bootloader/phone

I would take quite a bit more work to "convert" the ROM if it is possible to even convert it then to just rsd/flash up or down... It seems the Roms built for the jb kernel/boot loader are more stable then those for the kk at this time... If you really want to flash back and forth look in to this
We cannot teach people anything; we can only help them discover it within themselves.
thank you both. i will most likely stay stock for awhile but i wanted something i could try and mess around with in my free time.
Good afternoon everyone , I am Brazilian and forgive my English gloogle translator. But yesterday wanted to install a custom rom on my phone (Motorola Razr M KitKat 4.4.2 ) , I did root it and installed an app called flashfly to flash a recovery , it rebooted and tried everything as you can imagine and not know what else to try. Here is a sense of how it is :
AP Flashboot Flash Mode (S)
10.9B(*) (sha-61146a2, 2014-07-09 06:20:44)
eMMC Info: Size 8GB
Device is LOCKED Status Code 0
Battery OK
Tranfer Mode:
Usb Connected
Failed to hab check for boot: 0 x56
Fastboot Reason: Boot Failure
usb connected
Please help me have this phone to 4 days :crying:
You can't install a recovery on a locked bootloader. You might need to reflash firmware to clear the boot failure.

What system version are you on? If it ends in .15, you cannot unlock the bootloader. If it ends in .10, root using TowelRoot and unlock with the Motopocalypse app.
