Hello Sirs, I Believe it is a Stupid Question but here we go.
Does anyone here know how many pins are on Display of Galaxy S2 and on Galaxy S4? And if it works if i put on each others?
I have broken my Display and LCD screen while trying to repair it (Both's Galaxys);
The Glass didn't separated from the Covers and i accidentally broken it. but i have the Galaxy S2 connection working( I think).
And want to try Connect Galaxy S2 Display on Galaxy S4 pin to try recover some information while i don't buy another Display.
I live on Brazil, maintenance here is expensive.
Thanks for the Help.
The only stupid question is the one that isn't asked. However, the number of pins are irrelevant as the SII and S4 displays are completely different in both size and resolution. Even the connector is totally different. As a result, you won't be able to place the SII display on the S4.
Unless the information you want is on the internal storage, you may have to attempt using Kies to make a backup, and doing so blind. This naturally assumes the S4 is still recognized by the PC.

Curious if the soon to be released AT&T Galaxy S4 Active (sgh-i9295) will have any developer support? It will have many additional desired features; I.e. aluminum body; shock, dust, and water resistant. Only to suffer loss of 5 mega pixels in rear camera.

It's the same platform as the 9505 or its counterparts. I'm sure developers will figure out the drivers for the water resistance.

LOL
Not sure if you kidding or not but, drivers for the water resistance? :silly:
Back to topic, accept the camera, everything of the device is the same as the i9505 variant which has development support.

According to Samsungs announcement the S4 Active is not entirely the same. It has a 5" TFT LCD screen - no Amoled - and I'm realy very very happy about that! I don't know if the different screens will make it harder to use roms from the original S4 but I hope not. Also I'm not sure about the aluminium body anymore... According to a few websites reviewing the announcement the S4 still uses an polycarbonate backplate - a thicker one but no aluminium. Would be great if they are wrong on that one.
Now that the one big flaw of the S4 is out of the way (Amoled screens - I just don't like them...) this device sounds very good to me and I sincerly hope that it gets its share of developer attention
i hope they just post its own section soon
Been reading more and more reports about the S4 being cracked when carried inside pockets.
Does this happen even with the S3?
I just bought an S4 (GTi9505), but even if it does crack, I do still have the warranty covered, but would the S3 would had been a better choice from this perspective?
In other words, is the S3 more rugged than the S4? Or does the S3 basically have the same material design as the S4?
Should I get my S4 replaced with the S3 if this is the case?
Also, I dont see alot of "hype" about the S4 as opposed with the S3.
Thanks

Why would you start a new thread when there's a loooong discussion of this exact subject already going on? The thead also has the comparison of the SGS3's design against the SGS4 in it.

Just a simple question, If I will use something like this with Galaxy S5, will it cause any kind of problems? Like overheating, damaging the battery or internal parts or anything like that or will the back cover fit properly after adding such kind of receiver?
I do have seen Samsung Back covers for wireless charging but I guess third party cases won't fit due to addition of bulk to it.
Thanks in advance.

I think, since this is made for S5, basically, it will work good at it. Or, for you just to make sure, read reviews about the product. For your own satisfaction.
Will S4 Qi adapter fit an S5?
My question is, will a S4 Qi adapter fit an S5? I've been looking at the stock Samsung S4 and S5 backplates, and the location and number of metal contacts are different. However, lots of these third-party purported S5 adapters have the same contacts as the S4.
I'm also worried that adding the adapter may mess with the water resistance. What do you guys think? I'm just impatient and don't feel like waiting for the backordered Samsung backplate (and I just bought a spigen case that may not fit).

Thank you so much for your time. --Adam
On a side note, I've found probably one of the coolest Qi charging stations I've seen. I'm buying it on Amazon as we speak.

That's something I've been worried about, as well. I'm using one of those adapters on my S4, but I think I will just get the official charging cover for the S5. One of the main reasons I'm getting the phone is for water resistance, so I don't want to find water leaking in around the camera because of the added bulk.
pls delete my post.
Warning!! I just came across this at work when my co-worker asked me to set up his phone. I realized something was wrong when I saw the screen and size of this note 4. I decided to show it off for those who is considering picking up one from ebay or Craigslist. See the comparison from a real note 4 and see for yourself. There's no real difference w/ the software but the hardware might be a concern since the battery(charger) is not Original it might blow-up or melt. The fake one is really flaky and has weird random vibration and I would not recommend using it at ALL!!
The problem is, that the real ones are not consistent. I've had two carrier bought note4 from Canada and neither had "Galaxy Note 4" on the back cover. Everything else was spot on thou. I think the hover feature is still unique to the original Note though. (I mean that the screen is active when hovering, not actually having to touch it)
This isn't a sprint note 4. Could have been rooted with custom software.

Yes, It's a custom rom from the international version (as you can see from the photo). But in recovery it's not in English it's in Chinese.
Notice the fake also says ERGENCY CALLS ONLY when no card is in it. This is typical Chinglish.

It's just scrolling, and EM in the beginning is not on field when clicked for a pic. It is spelled right. Don't underestimate the cloning industry, they've grown a lot.
make sure your buddy contacts whoever he bought it from on ebay - if they falsely advertised it as a genuine note4 then he should be covered by ebay's protection. He should also leave negative feedback.
Hi fellas, I actually own a Samsung Galaxy S5 with a screen problem. Do you mind telling me if this phone is better than my S5? Does it overheat like a friend told me? I'm looking for a phone for the next couple of years honestly. For the specs and price of the Vivo 5r, is not worth it to fix the screen of the Galaxy S5 (I have to replace the entire screen including the digitizer).
This would be a decent upgrade from an S5 the only thing I would say is that quick actions on the phone are little weird. So when you want to turn on bluetooth or wifi you have to swipe up from the bottom of the screen versus pulling down like most phone.
