I just got it and it's actually pretty good quality,I fear there may be very little support, if any? I've rooted but haven't found a recovery to use yet.

Hi Mitchbaria,
have you tested the water resistance? DO you think i could do surfing with it?
Thanks!

I'm a watch repairman,,,typically i only fool with real mechanical watches, but i couldn't resist the opportunity to look closely at this...upon opening it you'll see it does have seals in it so it does provide some level of water resistance,,how much will depend on the speaker and Mic port openings, that i don't know. I have not got mine wet but I'd feel comfortable to say it's splash proof....I've rooted mine using kingo and is amazing all that it'll do.....I recommend the app "button saviour" as its a must for usability, also minimuum keyboard is something else worth looking at.....i still don't believe there's a custom rom available and I'm happy with the OC it does more then I'll ever do with it.....

Thanks Mitch! I think you´re right: the mic and speaker will be the weaker side. Maybe with something covering that parts to prevent great pressure changes due to big splashes, may be it would work... i´m thinking about tape!

How did you register your m7 with att? Mine will be here Wed.
P..S Really appreciated your you tube video!

It's a rebrand of an Omate clone. This means that most mods and some ROMs for the Truesmart should work. When the clones initially came out they were actually flashed with TS firmware. It should be IP67 IF the QC was 100% spot on. From a watch point of view, the TS and clones are the equivalent of a $20 discount store watch. It's best to assume that QC was not 100%.
@mitchbaria , you say you do watch repair. What brands and do you have watchmaking experience? There is an ongoing project where that skill set, knowledge, and resources would be very helpful.

@Lokifish Marz , i posted a quote of @mitcbaria , i dont repair watches

Fixed it. Little ones can be distracting at times.

Recovery?
I'm getting mine tomorrow also going to root it. Has anyone tried the omate recovery?
Edit:did you use the kingo one click root or kingo universal root?
Edit again: received my watch today and it has 4.4.2 on it

Has anyone tried the water resistant of the watch?
I´m thinking about swimming with it, but i´m a bit scared:silly:

You better not to swim or take shower with it.

if you see the seal, you know the answer. You should not swim with the M7.

How is the battery life on this, it must have a 600mAh battery, so probably 2-4 days depending on usage?

Heart Rate Monitor
Hi all,
This item looks promising. I keep seeing reference to it being able to function as a heart rate monitor but this is never listed as a sensor? For those who have it, can it really measure your heart rate?
Thanks in advance for your reply

[Q] were to buy a x10i motherboard

Hi does anyone know were i could buy a motherboard for the x10i?
Also if anyone had circuit diagrams of the board i could maybe repair mine
Dude, this is your 2nd thread within a few hours, with (and that's just a guess) the same problem.
I don't think you can buy a standalone PCB, as it is 90% of what makes the phone a phone.
What exactly happened to your or your GFs phone?
Maybe one over here can help out.
But you have to answer the threads instead of starting new ones...
it'd be cheaper and faster to get a new x10 xD

Now this would be a silly thing for the op to do. Perhaps when he purchased the device it was quite good but its an old phone now, and there are many more options that are availibe that do not have the flaws of the x10.
Op, if I were to suggest the smart thing to do, it would be to either purchase a Galaxy S, or even better, obtain an iphone 4. Atleast you would get multi-touch and have a phone that actually functions well as a phone.
Take care

Omg samsung galaxy a II has self regeneration capabilities.

OK so a few months back, I got into the this blind rage (not gonna go into the details) and the only thing in my hand was my poor galaxy s2. So I threw it very very hard on the floor and the back cover, the battery, and even the sd card came off. Soon afterwards I picked it up and put everything back in place and to my reliefs, the phone worked perfectly. The battery was even,... How do I say this? Misshapen? I had to reshapen? So it could fit in its place. Anyway, everything worked perfectly except the loud speaker was broken. I could use the phone without playing music through loud speaker and never put it in loud speaker mode during conversations. After a few months of this, suddenly the speakers was understandable again. Might not be as good as when I got it brand new but it works now.
Thanks everyone for reading my stupid post up to this point. If you have, you are patient people.
P. S this really happened I am not Kidding.

Yep true story.
Ah, no biggie.
It's the nanobots. When selfdiagnostic finds any HW faults it releases these tiny nanobots that then repair broken circuits.
I can sadly confirm that these regenerational properties are null and void if your SGS2 happens to be run over by the number 19 tram in Oslo - I suspect the tram number and city are irrelevant.
I'd have taken a picture, but looking at the mangled mess exacerbated my toothache, so I binned it.
Glad I've got an extra. I shall test this one under the #11 tram.
Samsung will be in contact with you shortly to recover their lost super-secret prototype Galaxy S2000 (aka enslave-humans-phone)...
So Samsung Seems to built a SKYNET

HTC One PAKISTAN Users thread

This thread is for all Pakistan based users. Please share your buying experience, accessories info, questions and queries regarding Network Provider based services and ofcourse your experiences with this awesome device!
To start off, I bought mine (Black, 32GB version) a couple of weeks ago, coming from the N4. Got it from a retailer I've gone to before in Zamzama, Karachi,. for Rs 72k. Quite a lot to spend on a smartphone, but I got a good price for my N4 and I really wanted this Homeshopping.pk apparently now has the silver version for under 70k on their site.
There's obviously no warranty but after speaking to Brightex Pakistan (official HTC distributors apparently) they plan on launching the One with warranty by June 22nd, or so they said. Mind you, the price for that will be quite a bit higher than the non warranty version but I suppose the peace of mind is worth it for a lot of people.
After having used the phone for a couple of weeks, and going through several charge cycles, my one and only issue with this phone - namely the battery life - has pretty much been laid to rest. Getting about 3 hrs on screen time and 20-24 hrs total time on a single charge with sync on which is great for me as it gets me through my full work day. Haven't found any glaring glitches yet (thankfully!) and the experience of using this device is completely brilliant!
Have NOT rooted and gone flash crazy yet as I want to enjoy the phone as is for a while. Am just waiting for the OTA 4.2.2 update to hit, hopefully soon The only 'accessory' I use right now is my own earphones with this set and they sound fantastic, much better than the included pair.
I've been looking for the MHL and OTG cables but haven't found them yet. If anyone has any info it would be appreciated.
Really curious to find out how many of us in PK have gotten this phone thus far so let us know y'all!

I'm thinking of getting the black but how is your experience with scratches and smudges? Is it really that bad? I'm coming from the black One X but I pretty much kept it in a minimal case most of the time.

Well so far I have not used a cover or case with it since I couldn't find any good quality, minimal, ones. There are no scratches yet but the back does get some fingerprints which you can wipe off. Admittedly since its new I have been careful enough with it but I do carry it in my jeans pocket. So far so good. I think if you're used to having a case on your phone this one will not disappoint you.
That said, I've noticed the camera lens picks up smudges much more than my previous phones. I use a lens cloth to wipe it down after a couple of days or when I can remember.
My other reasoning for not having a case/cover so far is that it just looks so darned nice without them

I think the issue would be one of power. A low power device like a thumb (usb) flash drive gets its power from our phones via the OTG cable but an external HDD requires more power than the phone can provide. Its suggested in the following thread/link that you can use a powered USB hub to power up the Drive and then the OTG will work with the phone. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1931990&page=2

This review says it's a reskinned Android 4.1.

Downside: only 3gb of free space.

Also want to know!
I've been talking to Adidas, and they say that my warranty has void, so they cannot do anything about it!!! So annoying...
I threatened them about writing all over the internet the good service they provide! Anybody can help me out? Sites, places to talk real bad about this issue?
It is a shame that a super brand like Adidas don't ensure the usability of their own and expensive products, don't you guys agree?
sorry for the revival - any one know how to bypass the activation on these devices ? had my device reset and now cannot activate - since unable to get token /login...FFS!! So for folks that are still using this - don't reset device or else you'll have a nice paper weight.
haven't found anyway to put the device in debugging mode to maybe at least bypass activation so I can just use the core features (mp3/gps/HRM).
if you remove the rear cover - there is pads for UART/SPI not to sure at this stage - will have to do some digging...
Flash CHIP (4GB) is SAMSUNG KLM4G1YE4C-B001.
Just to keep everybody informed!
After many, many, but many complains on Adidas, and with the good help of the resolver . com, i got my money back after sending the watch to Germany.
The only bad thing was that had to wait for 2 months after they got the watch there, but...
Bastards
Stopping the support before the announced date - thats disgusting!
Never will buy Adidas products again!
I've used mine for several years and now its not the question of money! Still use them as HRM monitor, hoping to find the solution to download other info some day!

Yeah, they also told me that, but i fought against that argument because i bought it on Adidas (had a proof of that with me) and not on Runtastic, whatever that companies sells, so my complaint was against Adidas.
Also opened a case on Resolver.co.uk, which did help.
And threatened them al the time to spread the news about this nasty behaviour of Adidas All Over the Internet!
Much efforts, but they did compensate at the end.
Hope this can help you

Thanks a lot - guess that's the only thing I can do right now.
From a technical point of view I'm still wondering, why they didn't publish a possibility, to let the issue get fixed by the community (of course I'd expect a company like Adidas to fix it by themselves, but that oviously didn't happen). I'd assume that they change shouldn't be that big, since only the upload target has to be changed - or am I mistaken? And even in the case, that they don't want to publish any details on the watch OS or the app running ontop, it should have been possible to just create a website that accepts MiCoach logins that are trying to publish acitivites and just forward them to the Runtastic site.
Either approch would be better than just pissing off all the people who payed a lot of money for the watch.
Still noone found a possbility to download GPX (or any different format) files? Think this is the only thing which is missing to run standalone ... meanwhile I've many unsynced runs on my(our) watch(es).

Things to do with a near useless OnePlus One?

What would you guys suggest one could do? My OPO lies on my desk collecting dust petty much. It has a faulty touchscreen and not even the latest touchscreen "firmware" remedies this.
Because of that annoying touch issue, I picked up another phone two weeks ago, a Galaxy S5.
I had in mind to just throw it into a brick wall but seeing as I don't like wasting money, that's not really an idea. Though it would be highly satisfying. I can't really sell it like this, can I? OP does not seem to respond to emails.

I'm really sorry to hear that happened. How? Or did it just stop working?
You could send it to me instead of throwing into the wall. Donations are tax deductible ! Its a win win !

Malfunctioning from the start. I first thought that it was a software issue but now I'm sure it's a hardware fault.

If it's broken and you can't fix it, send it to a developer lol
bend it ?
Why not warranty replace it? I'm sure enjoying mine.
Sell it for $100 on ebay or craigslist.
unlock it, and install Franco kernel.
If it doesn't fix, RMA it

Not really interested in selling it. I don't need the money.

Unlocked and rooted since day one. I've had this since the beginning of September. I run Franco r29 on top of cm11s 38r but the touch is still bad. Better, but still bad.
I requested an RMA a while ago but they haven't replied to my email.

Broken as in faulty touch from the start. It's usable, sure, but I can't overlook that issue so personally it has no use. Maybe I'll keep it to test vanilla L on it.

Precisely. Franco.Kernel is the best custom kernel there is. Ran it on my old Galaxy Nexus.

It may be more than it's worth... unless 'principal' is the most high for you.
If you don't get a response from OnePlus folks, walk over to small claims at your local court house and file a small claim against the company. You'll win.. its a PITA, but sometime when the principal (law Law on your side) is worth it... do it.
It sometimes help mold a companies responsiveness and ethics for the better.

Send it to DorimanX. He made a fantastic kernel for the LG G2. Will benefit the whole OnePlus community.
