Dell Venue 8 pro Android x86 won't boot - Windows 8 General

I tried to run android x86 r2.img (efi 32bit compatible) Grub starts properly, when i accept Live usb It show me 2lines MP-BIOS BUG: 8254 Timer not connected to IO-ACPI and detected android on dev/sda1 after this i have black screen or sometimes distorted android screen. (i have bios A09 )

Are you able to access Bios Options?

Boot your usb stick from the boot override menu in bios. The android kernel will boot in low resolution and will then survive the graphics mode switch done by kernel KMS at a later stage.
PS: I must do the same thing with my Voyo A1 mini

I have set directly in the BIOS(not from windows - directly on start up ) Boot from usb first, and again white blinks a few times and black screen. Once it boot, but with verry distorted and many cloned screens. If you want i can send video

Setting the boot sequence in bios is not what I mean and results in same problem. Search for the boot override menu where you can select the boot medium. In the Ami bios of my tablet it is in the menu where bios settings can be saved.

I found it (power + vol+ ) and android boot succesfull but screen is blinking look Youtube watch?v=zx4wSsgaccI&feature=youtu.be

I've got the exact same problem. Booting through the selection menu results in display corruption whereas booting as the default device results in a black screen. I've also toyed around with a T100 image and tried some video= parameters with no luck.

Cannot restore - In usb host mode

Hey guys,
so yesterday I installed corvagusrom, when I plugged in my keyboard the whole thing crashed.
Now when I boot I get a BSOD. The problem is, the tablet is still in usb host mode, so I cannot use the offical advent vega update tool to restore, nor can I use adb.
How can I restore this?
Booting into recovery using the back and power button sequence bypasses any usb host mode settings as android isn't loading at that point. Then you can recover to stock 1.09 and start again.

I have the same the problem but i get the backlight with the green android logo in the middle,is that the BSOD or something different?

W8 won't let me into lock screen

I recently installed Office 2007 onto my Vaio. It said it was successful and needed a reboot, so I rebooted. Upon reboot, it simply won't let me get to the lock screen (where I enter my pass/PIN). I have control of the keyboard (I think) because I can still adjust the brightness. The trackpad won't register my click to get into the lockscreen.
I'm not sure what options I have. I tried to get into safe mode, which I've read is done by holding Shift and pressing F8 repeatedly at bootup. No go on safe mode.
Is there some alternative way to get into safe mode or somehow get into the lock screen?
Pressing any key should do it; you don't have to use the mouse. If that doesn't work either, though, there's a deeper problem. I'm not sure why you'd install a 6-year-old Office suite on Win8, but it should either work or not work; it should have no impact on the login process.
A usually workable but generally terrible way to get to the boot menu is to crash the system during bootup (force reboot, remove the power, or similar). There's a small risk of data corruption doing this, even using NTFS, though it shouldn't be a problem.
Or you can use an installation disk and try repairing Windows?
You cannot go into safe mode because when Fast startup is enabled. If you can somehow manage to restart your pc (like booting from an installation disk and quit after step 1) you will be able to get the boot menu using F8

The PC is for an aunt, whom did not want to adopt any new changes for fear of unfamiliarity. I actually still run Office 2007 on my own W8 machine.
So in order to crash the system, I'd have to remove the battery when the laptop is booting up? What should I expect having successfully crashing the system...? That just sounds so wrong

It's an ultrabook with no DVD-ROM drive
"Crash" just meaning cause the startup to fail unexpectedly. The idea is that by causing the bootup to fail, the system may offer (when you next boot up) to boot into Safe mode and so forth. It worked in older versions.

Well it looks to me like you've destroyed your partitions or partition info, probably when trying to flash TWRP. It was probably for a different model. If you can get to download mode you have a chance. If you cant get to download mode:
Press and hold “Home + Power + Volume down” buttons for a few seconds until you see a warning screen.
Press Volume Up on the warning screen to accept it and boot into Download mode.
Also, I'd stop trying to flash TWRP. I think that's your problem. Since it seems you can get to download mode while connected to the computer, stay there and flash your stock ROM first. Be sure to use the Odin Re-Partition option since I believe your partitons are messed up (see the attached picture), it wont hurt anything as you're going to re-flash your OEM firmware. That should restore your booting to normal. Then, as I mentioned, find the correct TWRP, one that has been confirmed by more than one person to work with your T-580. Make sure that you can reboot several times to the stock ROM and then try get to recovery from the buttons or adp.
I am building some 30 pin JIGs that are designed to force download mode immediately after power is turned on. These are widely available, or used to be, for the micro USB port on other Samsung Android devices, but I haven't found any for the 30 pin connector so I am making my own. These will be available by the end of October 2021 on eBay once I confirm they are working as expected.
Good luck!

Hi,
It sounds like your Toshiba Satellite L650 may be experiencing a problem during the boot process. One potential cause of this issue could be a hardware malfunction, such as a faulty hard drive or RAM. Additionally, it could be a software issue, such as a corrupted operating system or a problem with the bootloader.
I recommend you to try the following steps:
Perform a hard reset by unplugging the power cord and removing the battery, then press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
Try booting the laptop in safe mode by pressing the F8 key repeatedly during startup.
Check for any error message displayed on the screen, it will help to troubleshoot.
Run a diagnostic test to check if any hardware malfunction is detected.
If possible, try booting the laptop from a bootable USB drive or CD to see if the issue is related to the operating system or bootloader.
If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it may be best to take the laptop to a professional for further diagnosis and repair.
