Hello, I was nexus 5 user but for the microphone issue in nexus 5 I changed it to LG G2
So, I bought an stock G2 and I dont feel better battery from nexus 5.
It my battery usage OK? Or I need change the battery by warranty?
Thanks.
Another screen shot....
Its definitely not ok. I usualy get around 50h with one full charge ( 5.30min screen on time ).. try disabling gps and see if that helps.
Doesnt seem right. After only 6hrs unplugged you should easily get over 4 hours 30 mins sot with 35% left. Right now I have 56% left, im at 3 hours screen on time with 44 hours since unplugged. Before investing in a new battery, try do a simple reset from settings (of course if your not rooted etc)

Are you on 4.4.2 too?
I'm on 4.4.2 unroofed and untouched.
I have the same problem but at first my battery was okay and 1 month later it started to get the same time as you. Without gps and bluetooth I make about 3 hours SOT, my phone can last only 3 or 4 hoursa day sometimes if i use it a lot
Hmm, I'm gone change and reFlash stock ROM. I wish make it better.

Flashing new ROM didn't changed anything. :/
This phone is working for about 14 months. maybe battery is gone to die, right ?

Hi People,
first of all, sorry for my bad english
Ok, here we go!
I tried to get longer battery life as many other people..
At the End i was at 60% Battery Drain only in 6 hours in the night (when i sleep)
Then i made a complett reset of everything, not only my rom, even more my method i took to save Battery...
I made a first test and it is faboulus!!!
I took the fresh Android Revolution HD 2.0.9 Rom and the RomCleaner.
In my first test i unload the battery totaly 100% _totaly_, then plug in USB -> Reset everything and format everything. Then I removed everything from the Revolution HD Rom Apps like HTC APPs and some other like HTC Facebook, Tweeter, Locations and GMail..
I took the modified Rom to the Phone and for a little bit Style i took the MultiCulti Theme thereafter inside.
Then rebooting, turning on WLAN with key (its always on, when wlan is in range) and plug it off from usb.
As last "step" i took the Phone to my car and charged it with an "Hama USB Cigarette Loader" (He loads the Accu with many more Power, i knew from airplane modells that it is better for the accu to load it with more power)
The Hama loader loads with 2000 mamp and not like the original loader with 500 mamp.
Ok, here my first result after 15 hours:
- WLan always on
- Made 4 normal phonecalls
- wrote 3 sms
- nothing on the homescreens, (but everything installed (with usb plugged in pc))
- turned display to 15% and took a normal Wallpaper with darker colors.
15 hours on - Battery is at 90 %
...hmmm realy n1
let me think... 10% = 15h | 100% = 150 h +/- 10% (for more or less us) = 6 Days
Today, i will start again and make a better modified rom (yesterday i tested only but didn´t think what i realy need and what not.)
I will first stop it when my Desire HD runs 10 Days without charging..
Stay tuned i will be back in some Days
In my opinion, 10 days duration might be able to achive by using airplane mode.
but that make the DHD a dumbphone
Yes, try Airplane mode. My 3 year old iPhone lasted for 19(!) days in airplane mode.

That doesn´t give you more battery.
The dhd has got a s-lcd display all that matters is how bright background light is.
in fact you could end up using more battery with a dark background if you have to set the background light brighter to see something
In my first test i unload the battery totaly 100% _totaly_, then plug in USB -> Reset everything and format everything.

i´m not sure hat you meant. If you wiped everything/installed rom when the battery was at 0%(unload the battery totaly 100% _totaly_) you will mess up the displayed battery %.
the rom you use resets the battery stats when first run. the phone "remembers" the battery power at that time as 100% . while that wont affect the actual lasting time you can´t rely on the displayd battery %
if it´s just a typo nevermind
i wish you luck in your effort
ps.:airplane mode would bring good battery life but shutting the dhd down would give even more time before the battery is empty !!!
If its battery life your after why don't you buy a Johns Phone, google it. The battery will last in excess of three weeks.
That's nothing. I haven't charged my phone for 11 DAYS!! And it will last at least another 6 hours when I switch it on!!!

I dont understand the part I have underlined!
You state that you have used only 10% in 15 hours but you have the phone plugged in via USB to your PC, that would charge the phone!

He was just connecting to USB while installing the Apps.
I guess he'll reach real [email protected]
Atm I think he simply overcharged the battery a little and the battery calibration is broken for the moment.
Lets wait and see. And please stop ranting at him. No need to be rude...

Possible cure of battery issues
Ok so at the moment O2 have lost there network ability and I am on stock rom 1.72, and all I have done is turn the Android web browser to enable plugins-on demand. Anyway just returned home from my night shift and the phone still has 90% charge left??? (Phone unplugged 1930).
The reason why I am stating this is because of the Apple Macbok Air issue and flash being installed as it massively drains the macbook airs battery, and Adobe have recently released an update that rectifies this issue.

How much screen on time do you have in this test so far?

I hate the limited battery of the DHD as much as anyone else but honestly, I'd rather charge it once a day or every 18 hours or so if I use it a lot than have settings like mobile data off etc. I bought the phone to use it and the features it has, not to watch battery % and squeeze out more time per charge by turning it into nice looking phone that doesn't get used.
I unplugged mine at 10 am and by 2 pm I was sitting at less than 40% and rarely used it today. I normally get a full day, but today seems it was special
No ranting but just saying i like the shiny stuff on the desktops too, but 3 hours and then problem ahead ....not nice.
I've had my phone for 3 months and just today it messed up. Funny eh?
Hi all (new here..)
Totally agree(with two posts higher). Such brilliant phone with so many nice features, and some people just use it to improve the batt life.
Nonsense.
Use sense.
Use everything that offers. Enjoy it. You'll enjoy more using it at full and charging every day, than saving battery with non usage.
I know i'll enjoy it for 6 months, then better one will come, and we shall all yearn for it. Phones life is too short to bother with energy, after all you can charge it almost anywhere, anytime. Except if you live in the middle of siberian tundra. That is bit annoying for charging...
Just imagine after 20 years someone will read this thread and say: ''Father, you really had tough life back there, didn't you have any of these atomic and plutonium batteries? You actually had to charge them?''
lol

Hello Everybody ...
I am writing this just to let everybody know that Reset the phone really works.
I am from india and running galaxy note on stock with the latest update DDLB2 attached are the screenshot of rather beautiful battery life I am getting since yesterday night.
Thanks to so many great developers here on this forum. few users have suggested that after DDLB2 update they were having gr8 battery life however I was still in the same category of NOTE Owners who are getting not so good battery life. But since yesterday after doing a factory reset the results are awesome ....
It took almost 1 hour to restore all the apps and settings after factory reset (I used Ultimate Backup Free for this ) however results are really promising.
Let see how far my note goes now .... and how far it shows the same battery performance/backup.
before factory reset did you get good battery backup with LB2?
No ...
It was rather very poor battery backup even updating to DDLB2 .It is just improved when i did a factory reset. Also earlier it was like 3 to 4 %/hr battery lose during nights.
sounds great.. so how did you do the reset. settings>privacy>factory reset? i think i should try that.
I used to get poor battery backup despite having DDLB2. ..from past 3 days, i let my battery drain till 7~8 % and then full charge it with airplane mode on...and voila...!! I easily squeez 20 hours with moderate use...
Try that

Though it is not must, i always prefer to make clean update evry time.
Before making update, take application backup e.g. titanium backup
Hard reset device
Update ROM (watever convinient n needed PC odin/mobile odin/CWM)
restore data (avoice restore junks, red coloured in TB)
You will get real taste of update.
I am from India too. And i updated through OTA (only the 8MB part). Maybe that is why I am having the same poor battery life that I had before LB2 despite a factory reset.
Any way of flashing complete LB2 without rooting?
---------- Post added at 07:08 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:01 PM ----------
What I infer from Post 1 is that after 11 and a half hours, out of which screen is on for approx half an hour, battery is at 80%. Will try something similar and post my battery usage screenshots.

I'll be posting complete result of my battery performance soon
So here is my full battery usage result with the screen shots.
Summary of my usage is as follows :
Battery from 100 to 7 % --- in 1 Day 9H 31 M 20 S
Display On : 2 Hr 31 Minutes
Voice Calls : 3Hr 36 Min 15 Sec
Data : 2g all the time on
Phone WIFI was also on for almost 12 Hr
GPS : I used google maps for 1 hr 30 Min with gps on however now it is not showing this in battery history now :-(
I just plugged usb cable for 30 seconds to just copy the screenshots (during this time ). I am happy to see the note performing exceptionally here.
Just 2.5 hours of disply on in a day. And no browser usage!!

note battery sucks like all other android phones. battery is good only if you have no program installed. otherwise it gives you not more than 2 to 3 hours of usage no matter which rom or kernel you use. but anyway I love my phone.

Hah, hah!
Check the voice calls. He is actually using the phone as a phone!
I have days like that. My 'best' (debatable) so far is 4 hours of ohone calls, and about 1 hour of screen + WiFi. I was down to about 50%, which is OK in my book.
Not using the phone at all, I have had 10+ days with only a few minutes usage each day on a friend's Note. I had just rooted and de-bloated it.
On that note (heh) I think the factory reset may have removed some app that was hogging the battery for the OP. Is that possible?
Hi guys,
I was just using my tablet at 60% battery when about 15 minutes later it shut down saying it was out of battery...
Why is it doing this and what can be done to fix it, the tablet is 1 year 8 months old...
Thanks
Could be a bad battery or possibly a fluke in software, does a reboot bring it back to 60% or whatever or does it still say low?
You can first try wiping it clean and then loading it with all the latest stock firmware/software and if this doesn't help then I would get a new battery
Mine has done the same thing. You need to replace the battery. I did and it works great now.

I have Note 4 SM-910C Unrooted international on stock ROM 5.0.1.
my problem started with battery charging to around 80% then stops or take like 5 hours to reach 100% then when I use the phone battery suddenly drops from 20-30% to zero.
if I remove the battery then reinstall it reads 16-18% but may drop back to zero.
when turned off while charged it charges to 100% normally
It is irrespective of charger/cable i use (2mA).
tried hard reset and battery calibrate (non-root) but no good.
Any help with this problem

Sounds like your battery has gone rogue so you might wanna buy a new battery. A great example why not to buy Note 5 lol.
Maybe it's a bug in your rom build so why don't you try and upgrade from 5.0.1 to 5.1.1.
I have not used stock roms since the s2 days and after using custom roms I have never looked back.

i have the same problem with my N910F.. at 20% my phone dies.. like today it was 20% dropped to 4% in an instance and then died..
this is happening since upgrading to 5.1.1 (dirty)..
is it possible to fix this with a factory reset ?
Try Battery calibration and battery repair from the store... If it's not doing something, then replace the battery
make sure your battery is fully charged. From dialing interface typing in *#0228# to check battery info and clicked "quick start" at the bottom of the screen, then your battery will drop down quickly, try these steps several times.

Yeah, Samsung has a solution. Buy a new phone as they will never update the 1 year old one even though they ****ed it up...
As much as Iove Note family I am more and more pissed with Samsung and eventually will stop buying their ****.... Already done with their watches by the way...
Definitely a degraded battery problem.
I got a new battery and problem now solved.
I have the same problem and already bought a new battery but the issue continues.
(Sorry for my English)
Hi.
So I bought S7E in September. I noticed a smudge on the screen. I sent it in for repair. They repaired screen AND battery AND usb connector, although the only thing wrong with the phone was screen. They also wrote that they updated the software (I checked and I have android 6.0.1).
So yestrday I got the phone back. Plug it in the recharger and restored it with the back up I made and played with it while it was charging so that I could fully adjust it like it was before.
Than I went into battery settings and it said "Learning usage patterns..." And I was like "okay, you do that"
This morning I woke up checked if it is till learning usage patterns and it is not. BUT it says that the "Estimated usage time remaining is 10 hours".
Now I found that a bit odd and bit low, especially since its a new battery. Before I sent the phone for repair I had like 22-24 hours of estimated usage time when it was on 100%.
I also noticed that most of time my smart manager says the phone has 75% RAM in use. So only 1 gb free. I think that before I sent it there it wasnt like that.
So any suggestions, ideas or anything guys?
I also attached some screenshots
Your battery life seems okay. Check how many hours SOT You get. Take a screenshot of screen battery usage when You have around 10-20% or just say how many hours You got. With a custom rom I get usually around 4-5 hours at most, but with a stock rom 6-7 hours. And on my device I have 1.2GB of free ram and after cleaning ram I get 1.7GB.
Your first estimation is going to be low especially after a new update. Give it a day or two . And don't clean your ram too often because it will get reopened again . (waste of battery ) . Your android system is using alot tho but thats normal for newer software.
Give it time to settle down a bit It will get better
So far it's been over 4 hours SOT on my device and I still have 50%. 8 hour SOT? COOOOOL! That's why I chose S7 Edge . Let Your device learn usage patterns. It really works! After 2-4 days Your battery life will be better than ever
Okay. I made some screenshots.
I dont know either why System Android is using that much.
Anywayw today I was mostly on FB and 9GAG. I am ill, meaning home in bed. So I didnt really watch videos or talk on phone to much (maybe 3 or 4 calls).
Yeah. I hope it will learn my usage patterns and that will be it. Because sending it back to that company that repairs samsung here in my country is really the worst. Like they are retarded or something...
Will it also get less laggy with time? Because I remember that before I sent it there, it ran a bit smoother. Now sometimes when scrolling through this forum or facebook its a bit laggy... I know it wasnt before.. Is that also something that the phone needs to learn and adjust after few days? Or should I factory reset it, just to be sure?

Your sot isnt too bad for a new firmware. Atleast you can get around 6 hrs sot. Your lagg prolly wont adjust and i am not sure why your device is lagging at all. Give it a few more days. Just hope nougat will fix your problems and ours.
Well before repair I sometime got like 4 hrs SOT, sometime 5, sometimes 6, sometimes even 7. It really depends on what I am doing on the phone.
Well its not that laggy but I remember it wasnt as much before.
Do you maybe know when nougat is coming for s7e?
