It doesn't mention CM anywhere in the "specs" though, it states ColorOS as the operating system. They're just using the back of the One as an example of what it might look like. I'd take the whole thing with a huge grain of salt.

I read that oneplus two will not be as cheap as the one. If it's true it really will be a pity since it what's make it unbeatable price/performance wise.

The One is only as cheap as it is in order to gain OnePlus some attention and a foothold in the market.

Agreed. I read somewhere on reddit on a oneplus q and a thing that the new phone would be made of more luxurious materials, which wouldn't cost a lot more to manufacture (presuming metal) but would be conceived as a higher quality product, therefore justifying a higher price tag.
At the end of the day they are a business and if what they have been telling us is true (making very little profit) then they'll want to make some second time around.
I think the original is a fantastic phone and is only lacking one major thing for me (800 4g band), so I might well skip a generation.
I still think it's way too early. But I peep dat avatar XO

Yes, it's really a pity 800 band is not supported. It made me a little reluctant on buying the one, I wish there could be a way to activate this band. (I know some people try to do it but, not surprisingly, it seems to really be hardware related)
Am I the only one who just doesn't like a full metal body on a phone? It's just too heavy and slippery. I really like my phones with a high quality plastic case and maybe some minor parts in metal. The new HTCs are a deal breaker for me because of that. The OPO got the perfect combination.
Highly unlikely this is true... Official China OP forum also speculating but mostly treating as false...
And i would have thought OP2 should be more than an incremental upgrade and will have OP's own new ROM, not Color.
Let's see but agree this should be taken with big grain of salt..
Sent from my OnePlus One
Most of it is fake, the rest are just guesses. Probably just to attract the volume to the site.
For example, dimensions are the same as OPO, while front side is almost bezel-free with same screen size? Yeah, right
They probably just found out what will be top of the line hardware in cell phones in 2015, and put the specs.
Wow
looks like OPO specs but with new cpu and os..
I think its fake... some loser pranking us

+1 on this 805 is not much of an upgrade...
Expecting much more from OnePlus. It needs to be a major upgrade to remain relevant; other flagships are going to see major upgrades this year.
I even have a new slogan for them:
One plus two
two times as unresponsive as the one!
I'm sending my second device back now, I will never buy a phone from this company again! I was very happy with the phones at first but after a while it starts getting ghost swipes, unresponsive screen wrong registrations... I really think all devices will get this once the weather gets to hot...
Sad thing is I really love CM12 the design is right the camera's good etc... And there is not really an alternative for that price.
The phone has leaked again on Geekbuying according to an article on Chinese-smartphones.com
$600, no thanks. No phone is worth that much.
I really like my one plus one?. What would make me excited on a new phone is the USB c? Connector so I can not insert the charger cable wrong.
The rest about bigger, better and faster is somehow less exciting...

I don't think I could ever let go of my N1. I feel like it's become a part of me!
No doubt about it, sooner or later I will feel the need to upgrade. That's just the way technology works. But I always like to have a secondary device to fall back on in case of any problems - if my main device gets lost, stolen, damaged - even if it's just so much as a dead battery and I desperately need to make a call. Having a second phone can be a life saver. Plus, the Nexus One is so versatile in terms of modding. With so many ROM's to choose from, and still quite a bit of active development within the community - this phone seems far from dead. Google created an amazing piece of technology, and even when their sales strategy may have flopped, those who have had the pleasure of owning one know just how special it really is.
I recently parted ways with my aging HTC Magic which I kept as my backup device, so maybe I'm subconsciously considering an upgrade after all. There are so many options now, I wouldn't even know where to begin. G2X, Atrix, Nexus S, Evo 3D, etc... But one thing's for sure - my Nexus One is far too important to me to let go of.
I wish you the best of luck! And hey, you could always buy another used N1 if you begin having Nexus withdrawals

c'mon Sony, post the CPU and GPU on the specs page, wtf?
Is the "BE" picture/video enhancements realtime or post-processing ?
Arc looks nice but "1GHz Scorpion processor, Adreno 205 GPU, Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon"
sorry no thanks...
Im probably gonna get g2x because of all the bands it supports. I think it will make a great travel phone too once unlocked.
It is just the "plain old" 1GHz MSM8255 / Adreno 205. While still sufficient for most uses, it is hardly a cutting edge.
But the biggest problem in my view is the internal flash storage, just a tiny 320mb.
It should be perfect otherwise to make me want one. But it isn't.

I feel ya. I just listed my Nexus on ebay today, and I am getting the LG. Probably buying it outright for 499 so I can sell it when something else strikes me in about 8 months, however I will miss my N1 for sure. The N1 is a great phone.
Don't regret it. Going from a Nexus One to a T Mobile GX2 is a definite upgrade. You're getting a bigger screen, faster processor, better camera on the back, front facing camera, more responsive touchscreen that supports multitouch, and a faster 3G/4G radio for HSPA+, and the phone will have AT&T 3G/4G bands....you made a good choice....
I'm also considering the G2X, but probably just save up and buy it outright and keep my N1 as a backup.

You should be fine with that upgrade...keep us posted on how it did compare to your N1.
I would probably consider the G2X if it had a screen superior to my Nexus One. It may be better in every way (minus build quality I assume), but I'm a screen whore.
My next phone will probably be a Samsung one. Yes, they may be bad when it comes to updates, but they've been kicking ass with hardware. Until someone beats this, everyone has lost. Just kidding everyone~

Oddly enough I've got a N1 and a Samsung Galaxy S 4G in front of me, and the N1 has whiter whites than the Galaxy S. Everything was turned on max brightness, too. I was a bit taken back, I was expecting the galaxy S to have blown it out of the water.
The only thing that sucks hard about our N1 is the fact that the actual LED screen is a couple millimeters below the glass. This makes pinpoint clicking a bit tougher at odd angles, in addition to all the extra glare/reflection from the extra layer of space between the glass and LED.
Sorry, but as an N1, vibrant, 4g vibrant owner, Samsung has done hardware justice. The samoled is just the bomb. I just wish the updates came on time as it were.

Do not forget that G2 mini is expected to be launched @ MWC next month. It will have 4,7" screen. And I think probably in august on IFA 2014 there will be launched G3 mini, 5" or 5,2", maybe it'll be G2 clone with G3 iron in it (like 16Mpix camera, 64Gb or 128Gb flash etc)
Will you ditch G2 if G3 Mini will got 128Gb flash storage? THAT is the question

I have my doubts about how much of an upgrade the G3 will be.
My thoughts on the following:
QHD - I seriously think this is more of a gimmick than anything useful in real life. Prior to owning a G2, I had an iPhone 4. As you know, the iPhone 4 has a ppi of 326 and this G2 has a ppi of 424. Difference? I can't see it. Both screens are awesome. I wouldn't be able to live with something that didn't have a retina resolution at normal viewing range.
Processor: LG's own ODIN processor sounds great, but if the launch really is this near, I think they will put a Snapdragon 805 into the phone rather than their own. Snapdragon 805 is sick and improved in comparison with the 800, but most changes are made towards the GPU and RAM read speeds. I like playing on my phone but as long as the processor still is based on a 28 nm architecture, expect faster battery drains and more frequent thermal throttling, assuming this isn't fixed either with hardware (such as passive cooling) or software (less aggressive thermal throttling).
Size: It was mentioned here, 5.2 is stretching it a bit, and 5.5 is probably too much.
Build quality: Here is where the G3 can excel. If they make it a premium smartphone with regards to the build quality, then it's a major update. Don't bother with glossy plastic - EVER - again. I assume they learnt that since they now are selling the G2 LE. If the build quality is premium, expect a premium price.
Meh, maybe I'm just jealous.
Ahh...figured this would happen soon. I'm starting to get tired of the over saturation of Android devices...but I guess that's how they stay in the mobile business. Not every company can afford to be like Apple and release a New phone once a year. In the end, its the existing customers that gets screwed. (More focus and support for newer devices and less for existing).

I doubt LG will build their phone from metal. It will be plastic, or ceramic in plastic. Sometime they'll even make plastic armed with ceramic, probably. LG own their LG Chem so they won't tickle with metal. Their plastic is durable, sturdy, firm, and nice in feel. Also when it's -25°C the metal cools fast but plastic stays warm to one's hands. We live all over the world you know
If back is too glossy one can even wrap it in carbon or silicon coating with different funny prints

Especially as phone contracts are getting longer, tying you to the phone for 2 years!! (at least this is the case in the UK!)

5.5" is a great size for me. It shouldn't be a mainstream size though and I still consider it phablet size, but if it becomes mainstream that means there are more choices and better/newer hardware for people like me who want bigger screens, to the detriment of those who want smaller ones of course.
They need to remove the back buttons and go back to normal ones. Even after seasoned use, I still find it difficult to press and it takes extra time and prone to error. A button on the side is so much easier and no nonsense. You can feel it easily, don't risk dropping the phone like I always do trying to find the back button, and can be easily pressed by either hand with different fingers. The knock knock feature is poorly implemented and doesn't work half the time.
Like others have mentioned, the build quality needs to be drastically improved. It's still a cheap plastic device, and very slippery and hard to hold, moreso than the Galaxy S4 and many other phones. I had to put a case on mine since it had very little surface area to hold and was very slippery even when fully degreased. Why make it thin if you have to put a case on it anyway? The hyperglaze coating on the Samsungs is much grippier.
Anyway, everyone is starting from scratch in 2014 for phone designs and premium materials so LG G2 needs to do the same. iPhone 6 will have totally new design since its about time and Tim Cook needs to prove himself. Galaxy S5 will have guaranteed new design as the Samsung execs have said, because the S4 underperformed because it looked the same as the S3. Moto X is very premium plastic unibody. HTC of course going back to the metal of the One. And a whole slew of Chinese manufacturers with steel frames or metal covers that put the bland LG G2 plastic design and materials to shame. I can't tell which side is up and which side is down most of the time when using my phone at a glance, since it all looks the same to me, unless I look specifically for the LG logo. Then I have to momentarily remember if its suppose to be on top or on bottom. I can orient the phone instantly in my pocket when I feel the power button on the side, which is another reason why LG needs to go back to regular buttons.
And yes, either put a better OIS on your next camera, or stop using it so aggressively, as I may be going back to Samsung if they have the better camera, and the camera is the main deciding factor for me. I am counting on LG to give Samsung some competition, as honestly even though there are a lot of Android phones, there are very few large name brands in the high end area. I can count them on one hand. Samsung, LG, HTC...and that's it. Motorola is clearly in midrange right now. Sony barely shows up in the US. Ditto to all the other companies and Chinese ones, which don't have the track record LG has and has lower standards for phone quality, even if the phones may look nice from the outside.
Already?
Wow... I'm really shocked they're releasing the g3 already... A little early perhaps? Either way, I think I'll be more than happy with my G2 for quite some time.

Super overpriced or super outside of your price range? Find me another 6" superphone with those specs for less money.
As far as why they look the same- it's called design language. It's why all HTCs look similar, why all Samsungs are carbon copies of each other, and why all LGs are hideous.

I had and sold the OnePlus One. It wasn't worth a penny more than what they were asking for it. Crappy build quality, defective screens, poor call quality, and buggy software. OnePlus is a bargain basement Chinese brand that failed to deliver on their promise. Motorola and Google they are not. Not to mention the N6 has a faster SOC, better screen, better build quality, better support, better everything.

Verizon doesn't Sim lock any of their 4g devices. So as long as it has the frequencies that your carrier requires then yes it should work, required you update the apns for your carrier.

Yup. G2 and G3 are the most beautiful Android phones on the market, the least bezels, gorgeous screens, innovative button placement, and a skin much better than TW, and both have easy root, unlocked bootloaders and dev support.

I couldn't disagree more. I think their physical designs are bland at best and hideous at worst, their button placement is unintuitive and awkward, and they've officially beaten Touchwiz with the world's ugliest Android skin. They may have great screens and super slim bezels, but that's not enough to make up for everything else.
Of course, this is only my opinion. I'm a tough one to please.
I have only used Moto's not actually owned them so my view might be skewed. The reason they look all the same is cause of costs. You don't really need to pay anything extra if you have the same design everywhere. You just pay extra depending on what and how much material you use.

Not to mention the N6 has a faster SOC, better screen, better build quality, better support, better everything.

while I do agree most LG are kinda ugly the Nexus 4 and 5 were extremely beautiful and well designed imho, minimalistic at its best, motorola design is just....ugly and seems outdated
and for that price range?, the appeal of the nexus line was its affordable price for great specs, it's what made the nexus 5 stand out from the competition when it came out, now?, I just don't get why I would get a gigantic phablet nexus 6 when I could get a Galaxy s5, and HTC one m8 (or the mini HTC M which looks incredible) or the xperia Z

10mm measured down the center top to bottom...... it curves off to somewhere around 3mm on the edges. In terms of the cross sectional profile the N6 would displace less than the Note 4 brick everyone is comparing it to. I'd rather have a phone that's 10mm tapering off to 3 or 4mm which will be much more comfortable in the hand, than a same size brick that's 9mm (or whatever the competition is) thick everywhere.

I do agree that both the N4 and N5 are great looking phones. The N4 more so. The N5 actually looks and feels like a reference design and not something that was designed to be mass marketed, but again, it's still an attractive handset.
As for the price, what I think people are forgetting is that there have been more full priced Nexus devices than cheap ones. Only the N4 and N5 were priced like they were stolen. I was surprised with the N6's pricing like everyone else, but I certainly don't think it's overpriced at all, considering what you're getting.
And as far as Motorola's designs are concerned, I absolutely love them. They aren't supposed to be flashy, and their ergonomics are unmatched. The original Moto X made me a Motorola fan for life.
I loved My Epic 4G Touch but every Samsung phone has been a disappointment to me since. To their credit though, I do like the way the Alpha and Note 4 look but TouchWiz is an absolute deal breaker. I loved HTC, was a huge fan of the One X, but the M7 and M8 aren't for me. And yeah, the Xperia Z3 is insanely cool looking. The moral of the story is to each their own.

I think the main issue is that people need to stop looking at it as a "Premium Moto X". If you're going to compare it to anything, it makes a bit more sense to say it's an off-contract ever-so-slightly downgraded Note 4 for $175 less.

It looks like a Moto X... aside from that they have nothing else in common. And the fact that it doesn't have TouchWiz makes it a moderately upgraded Note 4

Post your disappointments about the N6. My disappointments are as follows:
display
quality build and design
camera
no phablet features
My biggest disappointment is that I don't have it yet, even though I preordered it from Google Play, and had the earliest ship-by date they offered (11/21).
Otherwise, I can't really say (see above), but from what I'm hearing, the Ambient Display bug (accidental app activation, butt dialing, etc.) is my biggest concern. Also, the way that Google forces 3rd party apps to shutdown and lock the screen, Smart Lock is effectively disabled when using such an app (like Gravity Screen). That's a lollipop thing though, not really N6, so I'm not sure that counts.
None.

No offense, but it almost sounds like you didn't know what you were getting yourself into or that your expectations were based on a comparative product. . . or that you work for a manufacturer for a comparative product.
I guess he was reading the wrong thread. Android 5.0 and the nexus 6 never claimed to be the note 4 and have a bunch of "features" sorry dudes.

Display. Over saturated and yellowish tint are not my cup of tea. Resolution and brightness are fine but I don't think I'll be able to get used to the super saturated colors and the white color balance.
Non oleophobic front glass? My nexus 5 and iPhone 6+ have screens that are much more greasyphobic than this. This guy requires constant wiping on front and back.
Battery life. Having to carry this monster around I'd rather had impressive battery life. This guy's battery life is average.
Those are my main gripes about the device. There is lots to like.
Thread lightly, I mean tread lightly with this post its soon to get closed.
So far its only that the buttons are at the middle. I prefer them at the top right
The fact that I don't have it yet.

I'll give you display and camera (even though good counter arguments can be made for either), but..
What is wrong with the build quality and design? This is one of the best designed phones lol. Do you have the device? Have you encountered any problems in build quality? Any evidence to back it up?
Phablet features like what? Multi-window? We're getting that soon. What else?
It would be nice if you could explain yourself.

My biggest gripe isn't 100%, but I'm hoping that encryption doesn't cause the device to lag when opening apps. Oh, and lack of availability. Other than that, I'm pleased with this device.

Best designed phone according to whom? To you? Where did you read we are we getting the phablet features? Got sources?
I haven't played with one yet and I don't intend on buying until I do so maybe my opinion will change once I actually play with one -- but my biggest disappointment with the Nexus 6 is its price tag, followed by its size. This phone simply does not offer enough to justify its flagship price tag. It lacks expandable storage and removable battery which should be deducted from the price as other similarly priced flagship phones have one or both of them. Before you say, "That's been a staple with the Nexus line the entire time..." yeah, so were their undercutting prices which justified the phones not having expandable storage or removable battery. $350 for a Nexus 5 was perfectly acceptable because it lacked expandable storage and removable battery. Secondly, the Nexus line has repeatedly been plagued with shoddy cameras and battery life that are simply not on par with flagship phones, let alone any phone within their price range. I'm sure this phone takes better photos than the Nexus 5, but it does not take better photos than the Note 4 or the Xperia Z3, and definitely not the iPhone 6 (that's a tough one to beat no matter what). If this phone was priced at $450-$500, then I can justify jumping to one.
The Xperia Z3 is about the perfect size for me, but I can tolerate going as big as the Note 4. The Nexus 6 is just a mammoth of a phone, and I'm sure watching videos on it is great. But I dont buy a phone to watch videos and play games -- I have a tablet for those purposes. Additionally, with something like a phone, I'd like for it to comfortably fit in my back pockets without it sticking out and without requiring a pair of JNCOs to hold it. I carry my phone with me everywhere (as do most people), I do not want to lug around a freaking phablet everywhere. I think they should've eased into a 5.5" screen size first. Making such a huge jump is a shock to the senses, lol.
I know the phone is a great piece of hardware, but it's certainly not for me as expensive and big as it is. I'll most likely be skipping it.

I ask because you spend a large amount of time slamming the device and praising the Note 4, in multiple threads. Usually when someone owns a device they don't dedicate so much time to dogging on it and creating multiple threads about how much they hate it. They usually sell it and go buy the device they want.
It's classic troll bait activity. That's why I ask.

I have nothing against the OP not liking the Nexus. I'm still waiting on mine and may not like it myself when I get it. My question is why come to a forum and create a complaint thread? I've hated many devices. I sell them and move on. It baffles me why anyone would want to hang around a forum for a device they're so unhappy with.

Yawn! All the specs the "flagship killer" should have had to begin with. I have been a OPO customer since the early waitlist for the one. With each new phone I am increasingly underwhelmed. My recent escapades with support regarding a $12 screen protector have sent me over the edge. My fifth OPO will likely be my last.

I posted the same at the OP forums and here's my view on this
I got mine a week back, If this comes on 14, I will ask them for sending me a new phone and I'd pay the extra if it does cover within the 15 day return, cannot keep the old phone where the development will shift to the 3T and the 3 will be lost in dust sooner than expected. If they won't I guess I'd have to bear with and definitely I wouldn't buy any HW from OP next time.
On the side note, I already have this loose clicky rocker and the antenna band on the bottom has a slight imperfection like a speck has stuck beneath (not visible with photos, but can be felt with finger and noticed with eye under light and close up, I discarded the Idea of RMA because of the slowest snail process which is nuts) that It was out of the box and the custom ROMs community is a HELL, The Encryption / Bootloops / Softbrick and needing to use the Qualcomm download mode & Flashing of Zips for the stock and all is too messy why not use a fastboot image style of flashing ? And 3.5.5CB using the community to test out the software but no rollout, free bug testing yeah smart move but you are not M$ to implement such type of strategies, even so M$ is a failure nice inspiration there.
Refining them and optimizing would be ideal than to announce a new hardware.
What a stupid corp, for the slight bump from 821 and the new IMX sensor & perhaps some extra juice more all that for an extra premium and again release the damn OP4 to rekt them ? I see Sony type marketing style here...
Joke of the decade Carl, History repeats, Claps !!
I hope the next Nexus Pixel would be better so that I can use it freely without any jank

The thing is I love the Hardware - Screen is nice, Build is quite sleek and robust, Bezels are perfect, Notification light and the sensor hub positioning and black bezel just blends into them, The NAND is fast, The Speakers powered with NXP amps is fantastic & battery is good with CM13Sultan - It's a beast, The failure of recognizing this by the company who made it possible is such irony and a sad twist...Hope it's a tablet.
3T is not coming, you guys and your rumors.
I heard that the launch date for it is on the 14th of November. I think Android Authority stated it?? Kinda disappointed though cause I just got my op3 last week. They might even drop support for it so they can take care of their new "baby"

Hype for the 4 is fine, not some knock-off of the S's variants of iPhone. The trend is a poor business model. There's been no official news on it from OnePlus, and somehow there's an unofficial official release date.
