Hello everyone,
My close friend recently broke her Sprint Galaxy S4 phone and she would like to retrieve the pictures off of the phone. I know to do this for internal storage the phone has to be in MTP mode to recognize the SD and Internal card. Would their be anyway of retrieving this information without having any access to the screen. The screens cracked and the digitizer does not work it doesn't even show a display. Many thanks for the help.
just plug usb in lol. u dont need screen. windows 7 it comes right up

Okay so I recently broke my Samsung Vibrant, and got the Samsung Galaxy S III as part of their free Samsung smartphone deal. However I would like to transfer the files that were located internally on my Samsung Vibrant to my S III, but I can't access my phone through the touch screen as it is cracked and the screen is completely black now. The lights come on and I hear the USB connect noise when I plug the phone in, but I can't access the drop down menu to mount it. I heard that there is a way to see your android screen by using adb, but I just installed the ADT Bundle pack for Windows and I'm not sure where to go to access my phone. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
Nevermind, I literally figure it out right after I make this thread, lmao. Sorry about that guys!
Hi guys
I dropped my phone at work today and cracked the screen. The touch screen is unresponsive. I don't care about the damage to my phone. I just want to save my photos that I have on the phone. Any help would be appreciated. There was another similar thread but I tried that method and it did not work for me. Im a big noob when it comes to phones. Is there anyway I can save my files or no?
Thanks for the help!

Normally all you have to do is connecting your phone to a Windows PC with a USB cable and open Explorer. The phone should show up on the left hand side and once you select it it will show all folders on your phone. Including either DCIM or Pictures folder where you should find your pictures.
friend has an at&t galaxy s5. dropped the phone and smashed the screen. the lcd does not work but the phone vibrates and plays the chime when you try to turn it on. also didn't not have an sd card in it. replaced the phone with a note 4 but I'm trying to recover data from the phone. is the any way to recover anything without being able to use the phone screen?
Today my Galaxy S4 broke and the screen shows nothing and the touch does not work. I know its broken by the fact its shadered too. Im getting a new phone but I need to get some things off of it before I do but there is one fatal flaw... USB debugging is off. This means i can't use adb or any programs like [email protected] to get the files off or enable debugging. Iv been spending hours trying to figure out how to get my pictures and files off but with no luck and im getting kinda frustrated.
I am using a Galaxy S4 running Android 4.4.2 and it is Rooted with SuperUser, if that will help at all.
Any way I can get my pictures and files off is welcome, but please do not just point me to a different forum as iv been looking for hours and can't find anything. Google was not in my favor this time...
Also note I am not using a SD card, kinda dumb on my part...
Help!
My first topic here ever.
My J5 (2016) fell dramatically today, and the screen is black now. I need, need, need to save all the photos, videos and memory notes related to my kids. But when I connect the J5 to the computer - the computer does recognize it, but when I open the J5 folder - it's absolutely empty. USB debugging is off Also, I have a pin code when turning on the phone plus I need to draw a special sign to log in when it's in the stand-by mode....
So what do I do to save my precious data? So sad, such a "xmas gift"....
my first thought-buy new lcd.
