Stucked using only one rom - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys.
I am in a bit of a situation.
I own a Samsung Galaxy S4 i9500.I rooted it 1 year ago and I have installed Omega rom.Whenever I try to install a new ROM i encounter a weird issue:i ALWAYS get stuck in the Samsung (welcome) screen. it seems I am "bound" to use omega rom.
The funny thing is that now i stuck at one single version of the omega rom , the V22.For instace , i tried to install omega rom v26 and i get the same issue: the samsung screen.
Please help me solve this problem. I want to install the OzcanRom .
I forgot to mention: when it gets stuck there , the phone heats up very high.
So far i tried to:
Flash 3 different kernels.
Flash CF autoroot.
Nothing worked.
Forgive my mistakes , english is not my main lang..

Best Possible wayout is
1 Flash Stock ROM
2 Go to recovery, factory Default it
3 boot it to homescreen
4 Root it
5 Enjoy New Custom Rom Installation (install ROM)
Give a try..

Hi mate ,
Do a full wipe and format internal SD ( philz touch mount and storage / format / data/ internal SD ....not sd1 that is your external one) back up first , also all the pictures music and what ever you have in your internal SD that you care for,,,place rom in the external SD
BTW do you have by any chance the chinese PIT ??

I did all those things over and over ,at least 5 or 6 times and same thing happens.
What is the chinese PIT?

Hi ,
The chinese PIT is a modification to increase the size of the internal SD
What recovery are you using?

I am using the Team Win recovery Project v2.7
my system takes 7.21 gb out of the 16 gb.
I don`t think i am usit the PIT because i have never heard of it

No you have the regular PIT
your TWRP recovery is old upgrade it and try again

I will be back in an hour with an edit about this.
Even with the last TWRP i get the same result...

Could you tell me at least why i can only install omega v22 and not v26?

what error you get while installing new ROM

The install goes well , no errors show up. I finish the install , reboot the phone and then it stays forever in the "SAMSUNG" screen. In addition to that , the phone heats up like crazy.
And the funny part is that i can only install omega v22 , if i try to install omega v26 ,it has the same issue.

Here is a great guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265477
You can download firmwares also from SamMobile.com

Try to reflash the Rom second time.
So:
Format
Flash
Reboot to recovery
Flash again the same Rom same options.
Had a similar sounding problem

JW MIUI 1.7.1 crashes often

Hello guys,
i have big problems with JW MIUI 1.7.1. It is very unstable for me. I am using MIUI since a long time and I flashed the new one before a few days.
I flashed it with Clockwork recovery. My problem is that it often crashes and reboots automatically. I cant say when this happens but it happens about 10 times per day.
Where can i read errors from?
In the JW MIUI 1.7.1 thread is written that Clockwork users have to install an update but when I flash this magldr says "Boot kernel load failed".
Can anyone help me? I love MIUI and the ROM is great again but these heavy crashes suck
Thanks a lot and sorry for my bad english

Did you try a clean install?
Just use the daf thats inside the download file. Make sure you change the flash.cfg file as suggested.
I always do a MIUI backup than clean install (also repartition sd card) and flash. After that use Backup to get your apps back again.
Thanks for your fast answer mate.
I formatted and repartitioned the sd card too. But inside the zip, where is the DAF? I didnt find it that is why i flashed clockwork and then flashed the zip with clockwork.
What do you mean with chaning the flash file??
Thanks a lot

Problem to Install Creed's Rom 3.5

hii, I am a user of Galaxy Y S5360 also a new comer member of this site, guys please help me. Well now tell you myphone was in good condition. last night I installed creed's rom 3.5,(before installing it I had Ultimate Sonic Rom). as usual I did every steps properly but while the logo is caming after rebooting the phone (Samsung Galaxy Y) its stuck, I waited for 5 hrs but still same.. So I removed the battery and turn the phone again and do the steps again but no effect still the same its stuck.. Guys please help me out from this situation? Can any one tell me why it happening? though I did properly. . . . Thanks for your listening.
why it stuck after rebooting, while other Rom works properly? Or Can I never installed creed's rom 3.5 in my phone? please help.
one of my friend was told me about some process that CWM recovery and some Nandroid backup, (but as I dont did before), So I dont understand, dont get that point exactly.
Can you please show me a way, What should I do now?
You can always flash back to stock ROM via Odin sir. Just download a firmware package from sir Doky's site: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1465800, then after you flash back to stock ROM, you can always flash another custom ROM.
If you ever get any problems with flashing a custom ROM, you can always restore back to stock ROM. And a friendly reminder sir, always do a back-up of your phone using CWM recovery, it is not that hard, just put the CWM folder in the root of your SD card. Just find a thread here with a CWM recovery.
I face this proplem every time I install Creeds 3.5 So here how it can be fixed :-
1-Make sure that you'r on stock kernel
2-in cwm just go to mounts and storage then format system
3-wipe data & cache
4-install zip from sdcard then choose the .zip file and install
5-most of times it doesn't work :crying: so do step 3&4 again and it should work

press thnx if I helped
Look up this thread for more info - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1675474. You should have known these basics.

Than im started to getting panic, nervous and patience gone. I downloaded from sammobile the stock room and flash with odin. It isnt work again. After flash, the phone boot and freeze for loooooong time at screen with blue text recovering boot and Samsung logo.
I tried from KIES too, but have no sucess...
I dont know what I must have to do anymore. My ideas, knowlodge are now over. Is that any possible about triangle way cause this ? My device doesnt boot anymore. Always freezing screen. I waited for many minutes, like 20minutes and nothing.
Files that i downloaded:
- I9505_VJUBMG3_STOCK_RECOVERY.tar.md5
- I9505VJUBMG3_STOCK_KERNEL.tar.md5
- I9505VJUBMG3-PRE-ROOTED-ODEX-FULL.tar.md5
- I9505VJUAMDM_I9505ZTOAMDM_I9505VJUAMDM_HOME.tar.md5
- and Philz recovery, CWM recovery.
Guys, what really happened?
funny thing
tha same happened to me last week.
I fixed it by downloading another version of Stock Rom for s4 and flashing it with odin.
The stock rom I used had only 1 file (1.7gb) and flashed it using only the pda button.
maybe it will work for you also.
oh and by the way
I used team win recovery project instead of CWM recovery

Yeah, i think my problem isnt the room, because i have 2 here, one default from sammbile and other I9505VJUBMG3-PRE-ROOTED-ODEX-FULL.tar.md5
My problem is after flash the room, it isnt boot. It stop at Samsung logo with blue text recovering boot. How long did you waited for this? Or you just disconnect cable after reboot and flash again to teamwin ?

Flash the new Brazilian rom with odin ( http://www.hotfile.com/dl/234152687/723aa16/I9505VJUBMG3_I9505ZTOBMG3_ZTO.zip.html ).
Wait reboot. Power off, and reboot in recovery mode, wipe data + cache (Vol Up+Home+Power).
The first time, you need wait a lot of time (1~20 minutes).

TWRP isn't CWM, didn't see you mention it yet.
Today i must to give up, because time is against me. I leave the device at samsung assistence. Lets see what they will say for me.
I dont have screenshots, but im sure that i follow all those steps correctly. I tried many ways with odin, ticking unticking things, step by step.
By the way, im so happy with all here tried to help me. The beautifull word that i can say is Thanks, thanks guys!
Weird think: Switching from S4 for X10 is a punishment! My old and warrior X10 have no more battery life, like a mini screen now, slow cpu... but its ok, is better than my x810i.
Thank You guys (all people that help me), for everything.

[Q] Bootloop specific problem

Hello
So i was ready yesterday to install a new android rom, going from GingerBread to JB(Pixeldroid 4.2.2). Later that day, i encountered a Bootloop problem while still on the GB, so i decided to install JB. I did it succesfully. Before going to JB i installed stock WM 6.5 just for a bit, and had no bootloop problem.
Then i went to JB on NAND (GB was on NAND too ) and then it started to bootloop again :/ Now, i don't know what to do and i have an extra problem. My power/end call button is dysfunctional (completely). Please help!
EDIT: I can't help but notice there are a lot of bootloop threads from yesterday and today. Weird isn't it?
EDIT2: Well, now i can use the power button. Yay for copper wires!
EDIT3: Now i partitioned the system 360M/5M cache, just as written in the thread (didn't notice that bit before :/ )
Now, it's just stuck on the boot for quite some time, keeps going and no change. If it's significant, i noticed before, when the HD2 was plugged in to charge, first the LED light got orange, then the loop happens. Now it's not glowing orange.
Well ...

My friend ... As I got , you installed a JB ROM on a GB ROM ? ... If thats Right , Its not a bootloop it's a mistake because the ROM hadn't installed completely but you can do a Full wipe before installing any ROM then Your ROM should boot correctly ... Any you had better name the ROM you installed ... Good luck

Well, i did manage to fix the bootloop. I did a full wipe through CWM and then i made a partition, and simply installed using the NativeSD method. Thanks anyways!

Galaxy s4 GT I9505 Soft brick or hard bricked? :( !SOLVED!

Hi Guys, so I felt in the mood to try to flash my phone with a new rom. I read tons of topics, saw a bunch of YouTube videos and tryed it out for my self.
But boy did it go wrong..
Here is what I did.
I downloaded Odin and CWM 6.0.3.22 and aded the Clock work thingy.
Then i booted up into flash recovery and wiped cache and data/factory
Then i tryed to install from external SD card with this rom: AOSP Official 5.0 - S4 Google Edition - Stable-R3
It failed on something and I thought, hey lets try again... failed again, then I wiped again and tryed this rom: Google Play Edition LRX219
Got some error, think it was something with 7.
Well now it wont even boot up to the original state, its just stuck on the samsung logo. I can still boot up into CWM, but thats it. Im not sure where to go from here, adn I'm afraid to keep failing more roms on this thing.
Any suggestion?
Best regards Kasper
Solved. I ended up doing this: Link

I'm lost here. I was thinkin of doing that whole "erase some codes" to avoid the Cod 7 problem, but now I cant get to my files... Super annoying.
