Hey,
I own a T330NU. I bought a Bluetooth Keyboard to use with it. Everything was fine for a month, and then all of a sudden, the keyboard started being "unable to communicate" with Bluetooth. I unpaired it, tried to pair it again and it still didn't work. I NEEDED to use my keyboard, so I did a reset and restore and it worked fine after that. Until another month later, when the same thing happened. This time, a reset didn't help.
I'm able to connect the keyboard to other devices, such as my Macbook and iPhone. I'm able to connect my tablet to other Bluetooth devices, like an audio speaker and my boyfriend's T330NU. I'm also unable to connect my keyboard to my boyfriend's T330NU.
I tried rooting my tablet to see if it would help. It did not. I deleted the Bluedroid folder. That did not help. I tried turning my tablet on and off. That didn't help. I tried most of the Bluetooth keyboard apps on the Play marketplace, that did not help.
There aren't any custom ROMS for the T330NU, so I feel like I'm screwed. I NEED to be able to use a keyboard with my tablet. I'm waiting for the Stock ROM to download and MAY try that. But c'mon! I'm also going to try out an Apple Bluetooth Keyboard tomorrow, but if it doesn't work, I may pull out my hair. AGH! Any ideas?
hi,
from your post;
I'm also unable to connect my keyboard to my boyfriend's T330NU.

suggests the problem is the keyboard not the tab.
as far as i know bluetooth devices need batteries, perhaps that's the issue?

You were right! Weird! Battery fixed it!

Where to start...
One of my phone lines on my account is my old 6700. The bluetooth and my car (2007 bmw 335i) worked once while the phone was stock, then never worked again. Then i upgraded to wm6 for the apache. The bluetooth and my car worked well for a while, then all of a sudden one day stopped working. I hated the trouble that it used to cause my, so i added a 2nd line on my account for my 'car' phone. I went with a motorola krzr after i was told motorola bluetooth stacks have no problems with most cars bluetooth stacks. I also had a samsung upstage before the krzr that had no problem syncing with my car, but would never send the correct information to my car i.e. when a call was coming in, it wasnt the correct caller displayed. The krzr worked perfect. Anyways, I smashed my krzr (after the lil nephew soaked it in saliva and the buttons stopped working) and was 'forced' to buy the new touch phone. Since purchasing the touch, i cant get it to sync with my car I had it ONE time come up in my list of bluetooth devices, but when i tried to connect, it would fail, then i would refresh and it would be gone. Please somebody help me. I was hoping that i could get rid of my 2nd line and finally have 1 phone! Is there an update for the bluetooth stack? is there a registry hack? is there anything?
Thanks in advance for anybody that can help me...

You need to download a cab file from Jetware Mobile. Just do a google search for it. Works on alot of PPC phones
well i tried it, and still no luck
this is the ONLY problem with the touch i have encountered so far.

I had the similiar problem. I was trying to send the file via bluetooth from Touch to Motoming. The devices were already paired. But I couldn't send file via bluetooth. When I selected file and tried to send it from explorer it blinked the device selection screen and I returned back to explorer.
To send the files via bluetooth I had to install resco explorer. And from resco explorer I was able to select the device, and send files via bluetooth.
Bluetooth in Touch is very buggy.
when I connected HD with iGo Stowaway Ultra—Slim Keyboard, if I type too fast, HD couldn't follow my input, like I input work, HD only show k, only type very slow, HD can follow, but I try in Samsung I900, It works very good, how can I fix this problem
type slower! lol jk. I don't know. Didn't even realize I can connect the iGo keyboard to this. I'll be sure to give it a try.
I would also check for other BT devices, this problem gets worse if my laptop (with BT) is close. I obviously don't type fast enough as away from the laptop the problem goes away.
I have had this problem, and I am unsure how it was resolved (perhaps not helpful) but I shall speculate.
I had a think outside bluetooth keyboard, which had this exact problem with input that you describe. I have been having problems with three buttons not functioning for a month of so and they finally just stopped working altogether. I love the keyboard so I ordered a new IGO bluetooth keyboard, installed the drivers which came with it, and the keyboard works perfectly without lag.
NOW, my guess is that,
1) the driver is the issue (ie you need an upto date one)
2) I have installed the HD FREEZE FIX which was released. This COULD relate to the bluetooth keyboard as the prob with freezing occurred in the software keyboard while inputing data.
Perhaps this isn't very helpful, but I thought I'd ahre my experience with you and let you know that it WILL work, perhaps try one of the two methods above and see if it helps.
BANE
I was wondering if anyone else is having issues with bluetooth on their Archos 101. I can't tell if perhaps my hardware is flaky, or if its a software issue.
Basically, bluetooth seems to work sporadically. Sometimes it pairs like it should, other times it is a fight just to get it to pair with my phone, laptop or bluetooth keyboard. Often times I have to reboot just to get it to pair and it seems to really struggle if both bluetooth AND wifi are enabled.
I'm running the stock current ROM and outside of the android market APK and some basic apps, I haven't done anything wacky or weird to it.
I guess I'm just looking for some validation and/or confirmation and/or possible fixes if any.
Sorry, i have experienced no issues with bluetooth apart from forgetting to switch it on
I have had some issues as well. Paired a set of Motorola S9 bluetooth stereo headphones. They pair and connect fine, but the audio is choppy. It will sound fine for 15-20 seconds and then it will skip, go silent, bring back audio, etc. Tried playing same audio through unit speakers and no problems. I also have an Archos 70 tablet and have no problems with the same headset. Both have been updated with the Froy 2.2. Starting to think it might be a hardware issue with the 101. Anyone have any other thoughts?
Never had it working
I always get paired but not connected. Never have been able to get it to work.
The same problem. Pair, but not connect!
I've never found problem about bluetooth (Archos 101 - firmware version 2.1.08)
Pair & connect with DELL BH200 (Bluetooth Headset) - work fine.
Pair & connect with DELL BT Travel Mouse - work fine.
i'm getting major issues on my new replacement 101. did you ever sort your issues? i'm using latest fw.
its really hit or miss (mostly miss) whether it actually see's any BT devices when it scans. yet wifi works fine 100%
I experiment something very similar with my 101, this both on standard Android and Urukdroid 0.7 or 1.0 :
- very difficult (multiple tries have to be done) to get successfull peering.
- with BT enabled phones
- with BT GPS (G-Sat BT-368i, wich is given in forums to work well on our gen8 devices)
- for the GPS (which is the BT device that interest me) : impossible to have it working directly from GoogleMap, I got some success with "Bluetooth Gps Provider" appli from Market). This device is never shown as connected from the BT Parameters.
Could it be a hardware problem, that is do I have to return the tablet to archos ?
Thanks for your experience feeling about the fiability of the BT on 101 tablet.
It generally works fine for me, but a couple days ago it got stuck, and it would not allow to send me files to other devices until I rebooted the Archos. The same day I was also using bluetooth headphones and the wifi network together, and I had audio stutter problems. It seems that wifi has a negative effect over bluetooth stability.
It works for me... though
Bluetooth is not working on my Archos 101.
When I try "scan for devices" it shows 1 or 2 devices, while my HTC HD2 shows about 5. When I click again on "scan for devices" - sometimes it is howing different device, sometime shows bloothooth adress only.
Evan my HTC can see Archos, it cannot pair with it. Archos never see my HTC.
Zalek
Same here
I can pair with my phone (htc desire hd) but cant connect.
I need my phone connected for gps.
Nobody has a solution ?
No solution ?
Thanks
BT has some issues for me too with an A43.
BT+wifi means i either can't get a proper internet connection, or BT devices disconnect.
quite annoying, because i want to be able to use my BT mouse with the internet browser.
and my jabra halo headset connects in dumb mode (no media/volume controls) most of the time.
which is annoying, because it means my headset is stuck on the volume i last used.
Hi Lara and other fellows! For me, after all sort of tries, the solution comes with full reinitialization. Plug the unit to AC outlet, backup all your data, go to settings, repair and formatting and full reini. It seems that when we update firmware the things go a little crazy with the bt side. Good luck!
Think I've sorted out bluetooth problems
I also have had real problems with the bluetooth on Archos 101 - pairing but not connecting, causing "Location & Security" to crash when I attempted to open it (in settings). I updated the firmware to 2.4.19 and then rebooted - still the same problems, so I did a full initialization and hey presto all problems seem to have vanished ! A pain because I've now got to re-download all the apps I had before but at least the tablet is working as it is supposed to.
Hope this helps others.

It is not working for me.....
Archos 101 Bluetooth Problem - Known issue?
I'm having the same problems. I contacted Archos support and they told me to do a full reinitialization. This did not resolve the issue.
When scanning for bluetooth devices, nothing shows up until the 5th or so attempt.
The mac address of the discovered device is shown instead of the device name.
When attempting to connect it fails several times, then it pairs but says "paired but not connected."
When I finally connect the audio stutters. It's extremely choppy... useless.
If the bluetooth is left on, the 101 will eventually freeze when the screen sleeps and cannot be woken up by pressing the power button. The green light stays on when this happens. Pressing the button a few times or holding it in reboots the 101.
After reading all the posts I've come to the conclusion that Archos likely knows about this issue.
Archos, if you're reading this, for the sake of your customers, please admit this is a known issue and let us know if it's fixable and when a possible fix may be available.
I encourage everyone to open a ticket with Archos support.
If you purchased your 101 used and it's been registered by the previous owner, you can register it and the registration will be instantly transferred to you.

Firmware: 2.4.81
Board ver: A101IT-V5
OMAP ver: ES1.2
Boot ver: Unknown / 4.04.000000
My bluetooth device: Jensen WTB210. Works fine with several other android devices.
I've searched other threads and other forums but can't seem to find anything regarding my specific problem. I can scan for and pair with bluetooth devices from the bluetooth settings menu. However, I cannot connect to any devices. It always says "paired but not connected." I have tried both soft and hard reboots but get the same problem. Here's the crazy part. If I use a third party application that requires bluetooth connectivity (such as text messaging, bluetooth file transfer, or PDANet), I can connect to the paired devices and use them appropriately even in other apps and with a pretty decent range. However, bluetooth settings in the settings menu still shows the device as "paired but not connected" even when it is clearly connected and functioning properly via third party apps. I can also connect to the NC from other devices like the phone or computer though the NC still shows the device as "paired but not connected." The reason this oddity is a problem for me is because I cannot find a third party app to allow me to connect my headset, keyboard, or mouse through another route. The NC will find and pair with the devices but will not connect. I'm using CM7 stable version 7.1 and it was a clean install from stock. Is there any way to fix this issue to allow me to connect to devices like keyboards, mice, and headsets, or can someone point me to an app I may have somehow missed that will allow me to connect to these devices through a third party app?
So I have found a couple of applications that will connect the mouse and keyboard but still no go on the head set? Does anyone know of a fix for the problem of not being able to connect from the settings screen or alternatively of an app that will connect the headset as a workaround? The headset is a Plantronics 520.
Guess no one can help with this one. Tried flashing the latest nightly build but that only temporarily fixed the problem. I'll assume this is a shortcoming in the ROM and keep looking for a third party app that might provide a workaround.

So you say you can't use a bt headset with CM7.1? I'm sure my wife did use a headset w/ our cm7.1 nook-color... never tried a keyboard or mouse... I have a computer for that...
Not so much Nexus-7 specifically related, as the problem occurs on both my Droid 4 and my Nexus 7, but I hope someone can help me solve this problem:
Starting from a 'clean' situation with the keyboard unpaired to the tablet, I set the keyboard in pairing mode by pressing the 'connect' button until the bluetooth LED starts flashing rapidly.
I then go to the bluetooth settings of one of the above devices, I select the bluetooth keyboard from the 'available devices' list.
My Android device then prompts me to enter a certain passcode on the keyboard, followed by the ENTER key.
I do this and the keyboard successfully registers in the Android device as a paired device.
At this point I am able to use the keyboard without any problems.
However when I turn off the keyboard, or let it go to sleep, and then turn it back on later, the keyboard connects successfully (I can see 'Connected' in the bluetooth settings screen), but it's not possible anymore to enter any text or use any of the keys.
I try reconnecting several times each time turning the keyboard off in between, but alas, nothing helps.
If I 'unpair' the device from my Android device and re-pair it, it works fine again until the next time I turn it off.
Needless to say it's not really a workable solution having to re-pair the keyboard each time I want to use it.
To rule out the Android devices being the culprit, I have tested the same process with another bluetooth keyboard (Logitech DiNovo Edge) and it doesn't have the problem.
However, using the Rapoo keyboard on a colleagues iphone, everything works perfectly.
I've come across other people having this problem, and some say it used to work fine in Android 2.3, but at this moment I haven't got a device with 2.3 on it to test with.
I tested with a colleagues 2.2 Android phone but that one wouldn't even pair.
I will try tonight with my girlfriends 2.3 Moto Defy+ and report back.
Didn't get around to trying this on 2.3 yesterday.
I also sent an email to Rapoo support asking them if they knew any fix for this, and this was what I got in the mailbag this morning:
Dear Customer,
Hello!
Please note that E6300 is specially designed for Ipad.It works with other computers which use Windows or Mac operation system, the shortcut keys for Ipad may be useless.Besides, the only cell phone it supports is Iphone 4 and the the shortcut keys for Ipad may also useless.
Thanks for your support to our products.
Best regards,

What a bunch of horse dung...
i have the same problem with my nexus 7 and the rapoo 6300.
i allready tried different kernels and roms.
at first i also had to repair the keyboard once it disconnects. (happens quite fast, sometimes after not typing for some seconds, but sometimes it keeps connected and usable for about 10 minutes)
but i figured out that you don´t have to repair it when it disconnects. when it says "connected" but it is not possible to write something, just wait some seconds, and it will work. (at least at my device, stock kernel @ smooth rom)
still very annoying, but i think it shows that there is a solution for this problem.
After some research i found out that some people had this problem since android 4.0. (worked fine at gingerbread)
but i tested the keyboard at a friends nexus s with jellybean miui rom and it worked fine.

Another observation, when connected to an Ubuntu 10.04LTS (kernel 2.6.32-44-generic) desktop, the same behavior happens.
To repeat, you can pair the keyboard, and after the first sleep, even when it reconnects (pressing the Connect button helps), it does not generate input events for the desktop either.
Same problem here. Tested with a GNEX and a N10. Even with the latest 4.2.2 it shows the same problem … one sleep and you have to pair again. POS!
Any comments on Nexus 7 with CM or AOSP? I heard these mods use a different keyboard driver...

I tested Rapoo e6300 against a HTC desire HD with 2.3.1. No chance: it will not pair. Rapoo can not be used with my N7, it just worked ten minutes after it is paired, and then it starts disconnecting. And no input gets through. Waiting a few seconds have no effect, Bluetooth is basically not working.
Got major connectivity issues with Rapoo E6300 here too on Nexus 7 with SmoothROM 4.4 (Cm based on 4.2.1)
Swapped it for a Rapoo E6100: works great! I did get some issue with reconnecting to Nexus 7 after I tried to pair the keyboard to my HTC
One X (which didnt work at all).
Had to reset the whole connection with nexus, but as long as i dont switch off Bluetooth on the nexus it works fine. Switching off or sleepjng the keybord is fine.
