[Q] How can the cLK menu be accessed on boot? - HD2 General

I have a KitKat ROM installed that stopped booting (I'm stuck on the HTC screen) and I'd like to see if upping the partitions a bit fixes it, but I can't figure out how to access the cLK menu (not the CWM menu). Thanks.

First turn the handset off, then turn back on, as soon as you feel the vibration at start ( or as soon as the screen lights up ) hold the back button until you get the cLK menu

[Q] cannot reach magldr menu

Hello!
I'm having a problem during the installation of the clockwork recovery, tbh its one of the first steps but here we go
atm Im using MDJ's CyanogenMod 7 v. 2.6 and I would like to install the recovery but to do this I need to reach magldr which is not accessible due to the fact that I can't do anything except looking how my android autoboots ;/
every time I turn off the phone and hold the power button, it just boots to my android. I see magldr starting and booting my system, counting 123456, then gogogo but I cant do anything
help me
You need to keep that button pressed until you're really in the menu, you're probably releasing it too soon?
Are you keeping the power button down all the way thru the boot process, if you're not, keep holding it from power down til it reboots and keep holding it until it should switch to the mgldr options menu.
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App

oh my god, that was so easy
works
thank you very much!
once you get used to it, you'll find you only need to hold power from just at the end of the first bootscreen until the menu appears, about 4/5 seconds. Not all the way from power on, about 15 seconds.

[Q] Magldr?

How do I get into magldr again?
If I hold volume down and power on button, it goes to screen with 4 colors.
What do I do then? Already got all the addons such as hspl installed.
Hi, just hold the power button longer, also magdlr is shown on the device.

Did that, and nothing.
I do see magldr when starting it up normally though. It boots an old rom that I don't want.
Anyone at all?
So when the phone powers up, you're holding the power button, and the menu still doesn't show up? Well then, reinstall MAGLDR though the tri color screen then, it won't wipe your current android data, dun worry. Or you can task 29, install MAGLDR, then reinstall your android build.
Switch the phone on and keep holding the power button in until you get to the menu.

This worked! thank you sir.
If you hold volume down and power on button you will enter bootloder (spl 2.08 )
If you switch off your device and switch it back on AND NOT LET GO OF THE POWER BUTTON, you will inter magldr menu.
You need to keep the power button pressed in until it boots into the menu, don't let it go until you see the menu options.
Edit: Ok, see you got it working.
Lawl that's hilarious. xD
I'm sorry, just found this funny. xD

[Q] Solved, please close thread.

Hi guys, I have searched and searched and searched but cannot get anything I've tried...
Essentially, I got an HD2 today, flashed HyperDroid and all was good, until I wanted to access CWM via the mgldr menu, I tried to access it but it just would not work. Holding the power button would just boot the phone, it displays some text that I cannot remember then '1234 GO GO GO!'
So instead I tried to boot into CWM from ROM Manager, but that didn't work either, it just booted the phone as usual.
So I did a task29, started all over again, flashed a different ROM and the same thing..
I really am lost, any help would be much appreciated.
no offence intended here
Task 29 wipes the phone,
put phone in bootloader, turn on holding volume down,
install magdlr, then the phone will only boot to magdlr, make sure you have appropriate radio to boot.
you should now only have Magdlr on the phone and nothing will boot and you can go through the process of installing cwm to get a android build up and running.
to access magdlr when you have a build be it android or wp7, turn the phone on when it vibrates press the power button and keep holding it down until the magdlr screen appears

None taken, I guess I misread the instructions on all the other threads, I thought you just had to hold power until it booted into mgldr, not press it, release, then press again. Thanks mate!

[Q] Cant get in MAGLDR after installing ROM (SOLVED)

After a complete insatallation of TyphooN CyanogenMod 7 Nightly v3.3.7[2.3.4][A2SD][tytung r10], everything works almost perfect, but when I boot my phone keeping pressing the power button, my phone is loading Android.
Did I miss, or accidenatally delete a file during the installation of MAGLDR?
How can I backup/restore or update this ROM if I have this problem?
(First post. Be gently!)
try= turn phone on then it vibrates then press and hold power button till magdlr screen appears
Obviously when you say 'magldr screen apears', you mean the screen with the 12 options and not the black screen with ...gogogo which is loading Android.
I missed the magldr boot so many times, just for 3 more seconds!
Thank you for the quick reply.
yeah the screen with the options is the magdlr screen anything past that and the phone is booting, and no probs just hit the thanks button if i helped

Weird Problem on TWRP. Boots up with Android, but not with key combination. HELP

Hi, I have a Galaxy S4 i9505 running TWRP 3.0.2-0 jfltexx. I am having a problem where TWRP won't boot up when using the key combination of Volume UP + Home + Power, it will show up with the Galaxy S4 screen then at the top left corner it will show kernel not seandroid enforcing, recovery booting. Then it will boot to a black screen and then after 3 seconds it will vibrate and boot into android like it normally does. However on Flashify (Android App for flashing) I click the 'Reboot to Recovery' Button it boots into TWRP and it runs like a charm.
Android is running completely fine, stock 5.0.1.
Help will be appreciated.
UPDATE : SOLVED, Thanks to @QueryVillain
Solution :
1) Volume up + Power button while device is off
2) As soon as you see something in upper left corner, release both buttons and you will be booted to recovery
Try TWRP 2.87 to see if you still have the same problem.

Sorry for the late reply, but ok i'l try it out.
The actual key combo is volume up + power button. Home button is not necessary.

I flashed TWRP 2.8.7.0 and i'm having the exact same issue, just a black screen then about 3 to 5 seconds in, it will vibrate and show Galaxy S4 screen and boot to android.
Similar behaviour started to happen to me after flashing new bootloader via ODIN, but instead of booting to Android, my phone just turns off. At first I thought recovery got overwritten, but I still could boot into it from Android restart menu
What works for me:
1) Volume up + Power button while device is off
2) As soon as you see something in upper left corner, release both buttons and you will be booted to recovery

What do you mean? It's recovery, just as safe as using recovery in general

Doesn't matter anymore, Thank you so much! Other members told me to flash stock rom again, but I didn't want to lose all my stuff and go through backing up process.

Normally, while trying to get into recovery, you hold the buttons until it vibrates and then release.
If you don't release the buttons (the power button especially), the phone will turn off at some point.
