Money Bomb for Developers, please help!!!

Would anyone like to help me. I'm trying to raise money for the developers that are directly making Android happen for the HD2.
I would like to be able to post their Paypal Donation links next to each of their names in my blog post and start trying to spread this around the Internet. If not the actual donation button then maybe I can post a link to an xda post with their donation button.

I need people to help me get all their donation links together and permission from each to use them. And I also need help to make sure that I have every deserving developer in the list.

developers that wanted to be donated to have provided links to their paypal donation...dont really see the point of what your doing...sounds more like your trying to make a scam or something

I don't see ANYTHING that would make this a scam. he/she even offers to send you to each developers own xda page to donate if you don't believe the links actually go to the real developers. I would suggest having the developers themselves reply here with a donate link so no one can doubt.
The poor guy/girl just wants to help the people that deserve it. And why do you assume the developers won't want the money??? are you insane? "If they wanted donations they would ask for it" well maybe they're to humble to ask for money! They may not think they deserve it but if I could I'd drop a dump truck full of cash on their doorstep, like it or not! lol
If you're to much of a d**k to want to donate to a good cause then just leave this thread.
I for one would love to encourage and reward the people who will one day bring me a 100% andriod/linux OS on my HD2. That is why I HAVE donated what small amount I could to the developers and will do so anytime I can.
P.S. to the people who will invariably say I am in on this so called "scam" you can ask TAEL or NRGZ28, they'll tell you I do/give as much as I can as often as I can and ask for nothing in return. also see that little star near my avatar that means I have donated to XDA for their part in the awesomeness, maybe some of you haters could try that?

Thank you, I'm glad to see that someone actually gets it. I didnt want to waste my time responding to people with negative comments. I get really tired of all the greedy and ungrateful people that just take and expect that it is a developer's job to provide them software. I'm sure that they have no idea what development hours cost when you have to purchase them. I know first hand that they are not cheap. And I am also vested in the fact that I own this phone and cant stand to use it with WM6.5. So it's either do everything I can to learn and help so that we can realize a complete Android replacement of WM or just send the phone back because two things I wont do are one, complain to people who have already given tons of their time and hard work and two, use windows mobile.

------smaller amounts by many people are more preferred OVER larger amounts by fewer people. called DIVISION OF LABOUR. Come on guys, go for atleast smaller amounts. let us share the work.
------Some of us might be thinking like "how long do we donate like this". The answer to that question should be given by unrevoked itself. I personally don't have any contact info of them. hope they have seen us here. i know that every donor makes contribution, thinking that the total amount will get a new wildfire to unrevoked. The problem is that none of us actually own a Wildfire right now (and most of us have been busy-ish with school and/or work, and haven't hard a chance to do much unrevoked stuff in months).
Oh, and for those of you interested, we released source for an exploit in 2.2: https://github.com/unrevoked/zysploit (currently used in 3.)

@Melvin2502 We have to use a different exploit for the Wildfire - they fixed the one we used in the latest code. Keep an eye here for news.

I posted before, we can donate a phone with this money and the risk is the phone is bricked and we are back to the start, no phone to test and no money.
Just my 2 cents ..... but this is a good idea which I hope moves in the right direction.

The guys at unrEVOked have done a great job so far and I'm sure they will do their best to find a solution for wildfire users....and yes there is always the risk of the phone getting bricked.

we cant expect unrevoked to promise us. firstly we should remember that they are giving the software for us freely. they are just relying on the donations, which are also not mandatory.
yes they kept quiet all these months and it the mistake made by them. atlast few days back they responded that they dont have wildfire to experiment with. this makes us to think about the donations. presently they are responding to wildfire requests and it is a good sign. we can expect them to root wildfire in the coming near days.
if u see their IRC CLIENT webpage, there is something written on the top, which is
DONOT ASK FOR BUZZ ROOT.
which means that they knew the demand of wildfire root

new wildfires in the sense wildfire with froyo hboot 1.01 (and not the wildfire s). who expects them to root WILDFIRE S (official gingerbread) in a present situation like now which is not even released till now.
so unrevoked are looking for each and every oppurtunity to root wildfire. they knew the demand of wildfire root. check out their facebook page for the wildfire requests made to them.

i have got no mail adress of them. PROGRAMMERS like unrevoked wont just distribute their mail adresses. i doubt if u search the net for a complete day, even then u may not find it.
u cannot get their mail adress unless u know someone in their team, or someone in common to u both.
we need not ask them whether they are willing to root wildfire or not. we just need to check out their twitter, facebook etc profiles regularly.
they already updated their status on wildfire. they are willing to work on it.
remember wildfire is in the list of supported devices by unrevoked.
they will do that once they get a wildfire. if once they have got it, i hope then only it will be a matter of few days, and not weeks and months. they will make use of every oppurtunity for wildfire root.

i know many people are fearing about the phone getting bricked.
yes, suppose if we have made up the money, donated them, they purchased a new wildfire to experiment. then bricked. if this happens, its really unfortunate. but i believe that they will work more carefully as they know the present situation. if the phone gets bricked our individual contributions wont go useless. but we need to wait for longer time. As they can return the phone to service center with some expenses.
and let us all think positively in this matter. we have waited for over 4 months and there is no hope for us except unrevoked. so think positively instead of waiting silently for someone to root the phone. lets hope it will be done

your name (must)-- a more specific name is preferred over a generalised name
amount donated (must)-- tell us the currency in words also, so that i can convert all into one and sum up.
date of donation
time of donation (in 24hr format including timezone GMT +or-)
past donations should be added with name, amount and atleast date of donation.

pls add ur donation posts here only after u have donated to unrevoked.

Im creating and updating a fresh list of donors. A little bit of confusion out there. People are thinking that this is a thread for those who r willing to donate. But it is not like that. The donors list is for those who had already donated to unrevoked. So im starting a fresh donors list again.
hope im very clear now. im clear even before. and now, i even added the donation link of unrevoked to the thread. SO I HOPE THIS CONFUSION WILL NOT REPEAT AGAIN.

Sprint device tree bounty

Hello.... I'm starting this thread to set up a bounty for a working device tree.. For the sprint note 4..I am lacking in time to create one myself but have all the experience and ability to use it... So figured I'd offer a bounty to anyone willing to create us a working device tree to use to build Roms from source.... What I'm wanting is a tree that I can build cm and aosp based Roms from.... I'm not asking for Roms I'm asking for a tree that works that I can use to build the Roms myself as well as others.....
If interested in chipping in please list the amount and I'll add your name to the list..... Please Only people who are actually going to donate when/if the time comes ..

I understand the intention here, but I've always found that bounties immediately move work into closed repos, discourages collaboration, and raises questions about who gets the $ if for example, someone gets it 99% there but someone else jumps in for the last step. Will the bounty be split among all collaborators? Will you award the authors of any device repo you fork from? (It's turtles all the way down)
If you want development in the open and people helping each other to get your goal, consider not having a bounty as it's almost never the primary motivator for this kind of work... And often works against what you want. I can tell you personally... My experience with the nook tablet and bounties from a company that wanted to sell the port was pathetic. People were constantly hitting me up on irc and in PM for help, and stealing each others work, and making tiny changes to claim the bounty. Go back and read the forums for acclaim...
Or, look up what happened with the HP Touchpad, which is even more egregious... That fiasco made it to the blogosphere... But the code was flat out stolen and the irc logs pretty jaw dropping.
This is a MUCH smaller project, but still...

I do understand where you are coming from...these bounties most always end badly where someone does exactly as you described but let me try to ease some of your doubts....
What I'm looking for is for a person or team to step forward... Then after a discussion with them I'll add their name to the op as being the person doing the task.... Now no matter who else jumps in or steals code the money will only go to the person or team that I've talked with and is listed in the op..... So far as money split.... I would... during our discussion prior to having someone accept the task... And listing them as accepting the project talk this over and have it all mapped out as who gets what. What I'm expecting... What they're expecting.. The whole nines... Now these type of situations have a tendency of folks saying I'll donate then don't... If that were to be the case I'll donate the full amount myself... To address the closed repo.... I have a github account and have had one for years as well as being an XDA member for ages.... With a very good reputation.... My account on github is open and always will be... The idea here is to have a source for the public not just me...I have no intention on making anything private or closed source...... My only intentions are too get a device tree that we can use to build cm and aosp based roms from source... The idea of the bounty is solely to draw attention and offer a incentive to someone who is interested, willing, and able to provide us with the tree... I hope I've cleared up at least a little of your worries/doubts....And to be perfectly honest ...I hope that you and slayher accept the task... Heh I came to post that Slayher started a repo but there ya go.. guess he posted it already No worries on the bounty thing-- I've just seen it go bad before... it was a cluster****. That was a 3-month project tho.. this shouldn't be anything like that.

Hi XDA,
Well, this is my first thread to clarify my identity. As many people asked, yes I'm working for Nubia and responsible for all the tech support and related stuff, including the system update and some of the development work.
I'm here with my personal account to provide UN-OFFICIAL support to all the users around the world. I hope through my effort people can enjoy the RedMagic series smartphone. And I also hope developers around the world can use our phone to make better ROMS. Due to some of the regulation and restriction most of the time I can't provide a direct answer, however I can give you some tips and hints to solve it. So please don't push me too hard.
Because my works on XDA is not officially supported by the company so I can't check the XDA very often. If you got a question just @me in your post, try not to send PM because it makes more time for me to answer. If you have Telegram group related to Nubia, you can invite me @yinzicong to join, it is better to get messages on Telegram.

Any chance this update will include the ability to use an alternate launcher (eg. Nova Launcher)?

I heard that the Pulse version used to have problems like flickering and shut downs because of the incompatibility between the rom and its hardware (RAM and storage). I want to ask if it's fixed in the new batch of stock that have just arrived and what version of the rom it's on. Thank you.

Hi, as a pulse owner I can answer your question.
I have the EU version and am on 4.05 and don't have the problems your mentioning here.
It's solid and the only "problems" I have are the few missing software parts like the battery stats / percentage and the disappearing status bar.
Other then that I don't have any problems and I use my phone a lot (during the day for work (80%) and private (20%) and after work I play some games, watch YouTube etc...

@JerryYin please allow use of alternate launchers like Nova and release kernel sources so development can be better

He was answering for the NA version of the phone, and the european version isn't the same, that's why I prefer to hear his own answer

The issue I have most with my new RedMagic 5G is that I simply can't customize the launcher. I've tried to install multiple launchers like Nova, Microsoft, Apex, etc...and the phone continues to default back to the Nubia Launcher. I had the previous RedMagic 3S and enjoyed the phone more than my 5G simply cuz I could customize my software.
I'm hoping that a new update will come out by this Friday. I just received my phone from the NA website about a week ago and my build number seems to be even older than yours. BUILD NUMBER: NX659J_ENCommon_V3.08

I would like to do screen projection to PC but when I choose PC , it open QR Code scan and suggest to download Lebo screen projection client, so where can I download this program?
