I currently have both. I sold my GS3 when I picked up the Lumia 920 fully knowing I was going to order a Nexus 4. My plan was to compare the 2 and decide which one I wanted to keep. I am in a bit of a struggle there. Would love input from others that Have/had both.
My opinions:
Lumia 920
Pros:
Screen - Much more vivid and bright, but not overly saturated like that of GS3 etc... Also SEEMS bigger due to on screen buttons of Nexus 4
Battery life - I wasn't even coming close to using up the battery in a day with the Lumia. WIth the Nexus I can make it through a day, but definitely not as good.
Feel - The Lumia feels very solid in your hands. The weight actually adds a good amount of feel to the phone as well, doesn't feel like a toy.
Camera - The camera on the Lumia is amazing (for a cell phone camera). Pictures are great quality and are taken with ease and fast.
OS - Windows Phone 8 is super smooth and does everything I need in a smartphone. It's newer to me, and so less boring.
Cons:
Apps - Very limited app selection. I knew this going in to WP8 and I honestly can't say it is missing anything I NEED, I guess this is more of a boredom filler thing.
No Dev - Again knew this coming in, and again a boredom filler more than anything
Nexus 4
Pros:
Dev - Not quite yet, but will have loads of custom tweaks/roms/etc to play with
App Selection - Not nearly as much as iOS but certainly more than WP8.
Call quality - I find the Nexus 4 to have AMAZING call quality (when it has a good signal)
OS - 4.2 on this phone is SUPER quick. No lag to speak of (for a change), but I do have to say I find Android kind of stale and old to me.
Cons:
Build Quality: While overall quality is great, phone feels solid, super light (debatable if that is a plus or not, I don't necessarily care for the toy feel) however the Phone has something that rattles when you shake it. Their is a constant buzz from the earpiece (can't be heard in call). The back is SUPER slippery, will slide off anything.
Signal - Overall signal is lower than the last 4-5 phones i have owned (based on signal at my house). Also when holding the phone in certain ways I can physically WATCH the signal drop down, then move my hand and watch it go back up.
Screen - Screen quality is fantastic, but the colors could use some life. I am not talking super saturated AMOLED style, but these are closer to HTC Dull IMO. The screen is just as usable in the sun test though, so it is bright!
Plenty more of each I will try to add when they come to mind, just wanted to post a few of my thoughts and see if anyone else had factors to add or their opinion (Please only post your opinion if you have had both phones to compare).
This is JUST my opinion. Please do not take my opinion on either phone as FACT or offensively. If you have a different opinion please share it (respectfully) and I am all ears. I am not posting this as a flame or to say either phone is bad or better than the other, in fact that is the decision I am stuck on. Both are AMAZING phones, so again please do not take either as a phone bash.
I'm pretty sure the rattling is the accelerometer. I don't hear the screeching at all...maybe mine is lucky.
WP8 is nice...I wouldn't judge the switch. The 920 has good build quality, too.
I don't think it's enough to pry me away from the openness of a Nexus.

Don't you care about the price?
You can buy two N4 for one N920.
The N920 Display is close to the N4. A little better than N4, but not as good as the fantastic OneX LCD2.
I'd also love to buy a Nokia again, but well.. N920.price > (N7.price + N4.price)
Edit: The rattling part with my N4 seems to be the camera-lens-system. The speaker only makes sounds when it is asked for
I've used a 920 and while it's an amazing piece of hardware, WP8 kills it for me.
I have none of the symptoms you described on your N4, no rattle, no buzzing from earpiece, or signal issues.
Overall, the determining factor will be first which ecosystem would you rather use, then which piece of hardware you want.
If WP8 is the answer to the first question then the 920 is the easiest choice, if it's Android and you aren't happy with the N4, look at the One X+, SGS 3, and Note 2.

I already own both. I paid the same price for both. both sell for roughly the same amount on ebay right now. So price is pretty much a wash.

Your basing that on? Bring me some facts and I'll gladly have a debate with you.
I strongly disagree, having actually OWNED one, as well as many iOS and Android devices. Not that I think it's better than Android, but I definitely without question find it superior to iOS (to me).

I hate apple too just saying the success of it, i think windows phone sales compared to android are significantly lower, ita a failing sector in the phone market
You think the nexus 4 is light and toy like? This thing feels like a tank and feels very solid.

Android feel stale and old to you?
Man you really should stop using Android and buy that Nokia.
The point of Nexus 4's stock interface is for YOU to CUSTOMIZE FOR YOURSELF. If you prefer manufacturer to do that for you, you got the wrong device.
The Lumia is a flop. It's fat, overweight, and runs an OS with no apps.
I love my Nexus 4, a lot. BUT!!!!!! A friend of mine texted me about a week ago and told me he just got the lumia 920, he said its an AMAZING phone and he is blown away by it. ( he's a big android guy, matter of fact he got me to use android). Told me how the camera is amazing, the screen is insane and the fluidity is second to none. Also the predictive keyboard is excellent. THEN!!!! Today one of my coworker who is a big ISHEEP ( but a smart one lol) told me that one of his friend got the lumia and he told me the screen is just too good, he said he was super impressed by it although he said he doesn't like W8. So now I'm gonna get it as secondary phone for sure. Nexus 4 will still be my main phone.

I have both, and what I can say about the 920 is what I'd say when owning an iPhone too (swapped out a 4s for it): I can handle WP8 & iOS because they're always secondary to Android for me. Exclusively I'd struggle with either, mainly due to lack of apps in WP8, and quite a bit overall in iOS. (The app quality in WP8 isn't poor, it's just the lack of a few are killing me, ie TuneIn - that one damn Swiss station...)
As a second device for me, the Lumia has battery for days - 26h off charger with moderate use the other day and it was at 60% - is built like some concoction designed to protect a tank, and the camera is advanced. Plus it's a simple, well-designed, incredibly smooth, handsome OS which focuses on productivity. And truthfully, for times when I don't need two phones, I often want one I'm inclined to use looking at the screen less - that's the 920. More a tool to the toy, in ways, that is Android for me personally. When I got the 920 I was planning on doing the same as the OP, choosing one, and I went with the 920 initially because I didn't want to be fiddling around with the N4, taking time to flash ROMs, research which kernel is best, figure out why this minor tweak has suddenly borked my entire mobile life, etc, when I'm supposed to be achieving productivity on the level of a respectable member of society. Then I got the N4 in my hands. Phenomenal piece. Not a chance that was going back. When I switch from one to the other, the Lumia feels slow in comparison, almost labored; and that's no slight on it, merely a compliment to the N4's screaming speed. So now it's both.
But in terms of real world use - and I live in a big city - the Lumia gets more day-to-day action for me, in part because I don't have a case for the N4 yet, and I'm terrified of flopping it out of my jacket pocket watching the shards spill across the pavement. I don't baby it, and it's just easier to put somewhere and not worry whether or not the 0.5 degrees of incline is going to send the lubricated glass back hurtling to the floor. I don't worry about the 920. I do about the N4. I also get concerned if I'm out somewhere and the battery is going to die, so I baby the use of my phone under these circumstances; will happen with the N4, won't with the 920. For me, the Lumia sort of ticks a "peace of mind" box. I can throw it in my pocket off the charger and walk out the door, not wondering if it'll last through the night or whether or not it might slap up against something on the subway and shatter, etc.
If it was one or the other and I had both in my hands for a few hours before having to give one back, it'd be no contest: the N4, if my initial concerns about the battery are substantial. I think it's a device of remarkably more potential with a wider variety of uses. However, I think the question to ask is not necessarily which phone is better, but which one best fits your life? People use their devices differently.
For the record, I love having both. Couldn't be happier; what the Nexus 4 gives me - the power, speed, apps, customization, etc. - is complemented perfectly by the 920's strengths - battery, camera, durability, simplicity, LTE, etc. As a pairing of phones, and I've owned a lot of different pairings, this is by far my favorite, and one I'll keep a very long time - which is rare. They're almost the perfect complements in my world. Now if someone could take the best of all these traits and make one single device, they could sell it for four figures on contract and watch the lines on release day stretch counties.

I never said anything about not wanting to customize the interface, The main reason I even like Android is the ability to load custom roms and tweak things myself. I never said otherwise.

I don't know what you mean by stale. If you like the ability to load custom ROMs, but complain when you have the most moddable Nexus line in your hand, you have some serious problems buddy. If you have some deeply locked down devices then your complain might be valid.
Apparently you never used a Windows Phone before so you feel fresh. I will see how you comment on your Windows Phone after the "honey moon" period is over.
Also, when you post your opinion publicly but don't expect others to comment on it (valid or not), good for you!
May I introduce you to Neowin.net, where all M$ fanboys hangout, so you can have more help with your Nokia.
BTW, I hangout there, too.

I mean I have just gotten kind of bored with Android, as in its the SSDD for me. It's not like I haven't owned a few. It's not meant to be offensive to Android, this is a personal problem lol.
My last windows phone is the first on my sig . Been a long time. I had no interest in it when WP7 came out compared to Android but now that I have had Android for a while I picked it up just to try it out and I was pleasantly surprised at how well it runs and functions.
I am not looking for help with either, nor do I expect everyone to see my point of view. All opinions (when stated as such, and not argumentative or stated like it is fact) are very much welcome.
I am not a fanboy of any company OR Operating System, mobile or desktop. I try them all, and I pick what I find the best for ME at the time. I will never understand why some people find the need to attach themselves to one option but to each their own. When it comes down to it, neither of these phones will be in my possession for more than a few months until I get bored with them.
I was just curious what others thought, nothing more, nothing less.
And you may be very well correct on the honeymoon period statement. Part of the enticement to the Lumia IS that WP8 is new to me.(hardware aside) but I will grow bored with it in no time, no doubt.
I fully respect anyone who comes in here with the opinion that I am crazy/stupid/etc for even considering the Lumia over the Nexus, that is fine. I would appreciate some opinions/facts on why, and not fiction about how bad WP8 is (especially if you have never owned one, or at least spent some time with one).
n4 £279
920 £496
if the n4 was closer in price to the 920 it would be a much harder decision. but it isn't. so it isn't. for what you get for your £279, n4 wins hands down.
Well i had android for many years.. but ... it never feels like its it, dont know how to say it.
I have a Lumia 920 now and its bloody awesome, so smooth, never lags, and the appstore is getting bigger everyday.
All my apps i used on Android are in the WP store for me.
Dont get me wrong Android is a great OS, but the changes in versions never live quite up to it.
For those of you that now have this phone, what are your thoughts? I'm liking this phone more and more but do I need it, well, not really. I'm perfectly happy with my Nexus 4 running PA but there's something about this that has me wanting it. I think part of it is the fact that it's kind of the underdog. It will be exciting to see what the dev's come up with, ROM wise. Anyway, my brain is just spinning as usual, haha.

I'm coming from a sony X10 but the oppo find 5 is working good, I had no dead pixels everything worked out of the box.
I have some problems with contact syncing and gmail updates. Photographs are beautiful, but HDR is not really good on dark spots. (lots of noise because of ISO value's)
I did not wanted the nexus 4 because of the glass back. But I think I would also be happy with the nexus 4. But it is overpriced in the Netherlands, my oppo is cheaper then the nexus 4.
It is super fast compared to my X10. No idea how fast the nexus 4 is.
I think you can better donate some money to charity instead of buying yet another high-end phone
nice
previous phone: HTC Sensation
+ Display: WOW! youtube trailer in HD and people start peeping their eyes out!
+ Sound: I never heard a phone playing it sounds like this
+ Speed: I changed the default (ugly) launcher to APEX, this give's the phone a better feel
+ Camera: Although my previous phone was already 2 year old hence i cannot compare it to recent in-phone-camera's it looks great
+ Desgin: It is sharp but not too sharp edged, it's light and thin. the phone is big in size but because its slim dimensions you will not notice it in your jeans (unless you wear skinny jeans i guess, but who does that )
- Temperature when under load, i feel the device is getting pretty warm, your hands start being sweatty.
- Stock UI
Display
Simply Amazing. Bright & Crisp.
However, the screen responsiveness to your touch isn't very good. I find myself having to tap many things twice or three times to get it registered.Battery
Terrible. It seems to be draining even while sleeping.
My usual morning routine, I unplugged the phone from the charger. It's charged to 100% over night. I do a few light tasks like replying to text messages, flipping through Flipboard, see one 30 sec YouTube video, brightness setting at 50%.
After 20 minutes of usage, my battery gotten down from 100% to 78%.Speaker
Nice and loud. Best, I have ever heard. But, when you lay it on its back, the speaker will be completely muffled.Camera
Sucks. 13MP only in spirit. Colors are over saturated. And, the balance isn't there. Lots of graininess in images, even in ample light. Also, don't use the LED flash. Your pictures will be almost all blown white. Absolutely no setting like macro, scene mode, white balance, panaroma, etc.. Just point and shoot and hope for the best...and often times, it isn't.
My 8MP Nexus and 5MP iPad Mini can take picture and video much better.Stock Launcher
The widgets are fugly. Period.Build Quality
Strong like my unibody Macbook Pro. However, the power and volume rockers shifts around. The micro USB port is weak. I feel like I'm gonna break that port anytime soon.Software
Random reboots at least twice or three times a day. No idea why. I feel like I'm using Windows 95 all over again. Oh, and Gmail doesn't open up. Yeah, seriously, Gmail DOES NOT work on this phone. I have to use the other mail app instead. Latest firmware & Gmail update.
Software is actually 4.1, not 4.2. Coming from Nexus 4, that was a let down. I miss the swype style keyboard on 4.2.ROM
Currently, as of late March, no ROMsSide Note
USB wall charger & headphones look EXACTLY like the ones for iPhones. Apple will be calling them soon, if not already.
Conclusion
Beauty & the Beast.......okay, maybe just the Beauty and not much else.
Interesting perspective, thanks for sharing. Hopefully a lot of these things can be fixed with future updates. What's the deal with the Gmail not working and is this something that OPPO is aware of?
I really am happy with the phone. Looks great and stands out in the crowd. Screen is fabulous. It's a new kid on the block, so there are a few things that are not quite there yet. But it seems Oppo are really working hard to make a proper go at this. So far weekly updates and regular fixes. I attached a simple benchmark to give you an idea of the spec. I'm sure there are better performers out there, but it seems to hold it's own!
It seems that my take is a lot different than other peoples on the board, or maybe I got really lucky and got the perfect unit, My Droid DNA is in my drawer and my Oppo Find 5 is sitting on my coffee table right now. All I have to say is wow I am really quite surprised with the device, and I have a Droid DNA now, and my previous device was HTC One X International Version. So I have saw some very nice displays lately, and the Oppo Find 5 is right up there with the best of them, it handles its own. The only fault was that I got my Oppo Find 5 with 1 stuck pixel, you don't even notice it only if you look for it when it’s on the black part while its booting up, once the screen comes on you can’t even see it.
+ Display is really NICE! 1 pixel stuck, on par with Droid DNA SLCD3 and just as bright so you don't have to turn it up that far and waste battery.
+ Build Quality I can’t say enough about this, this thing feels like I could Drop it off the roof and it would last.
+ The All black front display looks so good just as nice or better than the One X, and it has that nice curve in the glass that makes it nice to use.
+ I haven't tried the stock ear buds, but with my Sony ear buds, this thing sounds great, no distortion at all, with bass high, all amps sound good.
+ The stock speaker is also a pleasant surprise, it sounds really good at high volume levels also, when set right, no distortion and it gets loud
+ I stuck with the default launcher to give it a try and it is pretty smooth, has a really nice settings layout. I may switch, it reminds me of MIUI
+ The camera is just as good as my HTC DNA, I don't remember which review said it was about like about like an 8MP LG, It shots fine pictures.
+ The white matte finish does not leave any fingerprints and the screen must have that stuff to keep fingerprints off it also, it barley gets fingerprints
+ I have ran plenty of benchmarks and my unit did not get hot at all as someone said, maybe I wasn't holding it where it was getting hot at on their device?
+ The complete design is what really shines on this phone on the outside, it looks so sleek, and I have already caught people glancing and looking at it, and I have only owned it for one day, if that says anything at all?
+ or - Don't know enough about battery life yet but so far mine seems to be holding up better today, now that it is on its second charge, With a full HD Display you have got to know how to manage your battery, turn things off that you are not using at the time, it worked on my One X and that thing was a nightmare. On my One X I also disabled all my apps that I didn't ever use. At least until we get Roms that will take out all the bloat junk. Today my battery is doing really well almost 2 hours screen time and 76% left.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-- I would have to say that the launcher would have been better stock, but I like trying new things out. I really hope Paranoid Android comes to this phone that will be my rom of choice. I already know CM and MIUI are coming soon.
-- The Ugly widgets, Oppo have so many better widgets on their other phones (Oppo Finder, Oppo Way, Oppo 3?) all those widgets look better IMO. I wish I could replace them somehow by switching APKs; maybe someone knows how and could let me know?
-- Contrast I like the over saturated look we have a developer that is working on a kernel or app to set your display just how you like it, at least I think so anyway?- hopefully we can get this fixed soon I know it’s being worked on by paperweistage and his kernel hopefully he gets it figures out, but if you want to help he is looking for some help in his kernel thread, He is looking for JDI Display white-sheets. So help out if you can
And support our developer, that’s how we eventually get more custom Kernel Roms and Apps. Donate to them a couple dollars for a cold one or a coffee.
-- or + It is a little bit on the heavy side but look how it’s made! Some could call this a negative but I left it neutral because it is well balanced and with a full metal frame inside around it, I don't really mind it weighing 20 extra grams, at least hopefully my phone won’t shatter into a thousand pieces if it falls on the ground.
Add more later after I use it awhile longer.
Stock Find 5 Score
[/IMG]
BELOW MY DROID DNA with a custom kernel, once we get a custom kernel for the Find 5, I think it will do better than the DNA I couldn't get the scores I'm getting with the Find 5 with my DNA when it was stock maybe 18900 or 19500.

drvsbsm, awesome review! I was checking the OPPO forums earlier and was really getting mixed thoughts on the phone. I know this phone is new and things are just getting started and I think that is some of what's driving me to it. I remember when the Nokia N9 came out with it's Hartmann/Meego OS, I fell in love with that thing and it was pretty much a dead platform when released. It looks like OPPO is keeping up with bug fixes and putting out updates so that's a good sign. Most of all though, I think the thing is SEXY, a beautiful device.
I'm guessing the vendor on Amazon is the place to get it from, the one located in HK?
Thanks again guys!
Very , very good rewiew !

Video camera isn't that very good.
Video is okay if the subject stands still. However, when subject runs or any fast moments, then video gets blurry or ghosting.
For example, here's a video of my daughter at her Taekwondo practice. Notice how she gets blurry when she starts running?

Hopefully this will be addressed as OPPO is releasing an update within a few days for camera related issues.
I have a question about the screen durability. I read somewhere, maybe GSMArena, that the screen rippled very easily and was a bit flexible. That sounds very concerning. I've also heard a few things about poor touchscreen response. This may also be hardware only problem that can't be fixed with any updates.
A lot of these smaller phone makers can just buy off the shelf parts (figuratively) and bulid their own phone. They don't need to develop their own hardware components, just how everything fits together and the overall design. The camera is an Exmor RS from Sony, and the screen is probably a 1080p panel from Sharp. Of course the processor is Qualcomm.
The biggest problem these small relatively no name companies face is the software. It's the brains that makes the smartphone smart, and having a small and inexperienced team, especially while trying to make your own skin, can lead to many shortcomings, from bugs to performance issues to compatibility to poor hardware utilization and battery life. A lot of this stuff even the big boys have trouble with and they have far bigger teams with far more experience. Oppo should go the route that BLU is taking in the future. BLU has a really horrible skin, allegedly, and unstable and buggy phones, but they are supposedly putting stock Android on their new Life series line of phones.
From what I've gathered, the screen is made by JDI?

The screen is from JDI. seems pretty sturdy to me. They seem to be keeping on top of things. But they have a very good reputation in the high end Av community. It's also not their 1st phone. Just their first soiree in the international market.
I have had my Find 5 for more than a week now sans screen protector. Unfortunately, there are lots of micro scratches already. And, I'm very conscious about where I put and use my phone.
Same practice, my Nexus 4 fair much better even after six months of usage.
All in all, have screen protector or don't have too long of finger nails.

New firmware 328,it has camera fixes...
No marked improvement or fixes to camera with latest firmware.
Just new feature: panorama.
Oppo should focus on fixing all the basic camera problems, rather than, adding gimmick useless feature.

Wow knite please get back to your iphone.
They tweaked a bit around with the iso settings. But not something really spectaculair.
At least they did something. Most companies will be like :"DEAL WITH IT!"

Most company would release software when it's ready and in decent condition for general public consumption... Not beta....or alpha in this case.
Check the camera... Aside from poor image quality.... Do see any basic features like:
Macro
White Balance
Scene Mode
As a matter of fact, on Oppo forums, lots of threads and discussion on how poor the pictures and video are turning out... Oppo just ignore them...basically, saying "DEAL WITH IT!"
Instead, they spent their finite limited development resources in adding useless Panorama feature. When is the last time you took a panorama picture, aside from just wanting to see how it works?
I took a panorama earlier at dinner actually. I did the update out of the box and didn't know it added that so that's cool lol.

I bought the boost mobile version from best buy for 160 after taxes. Anyone else purchased it yet?
My initial thought of the Sharp Aquos Crystal phone:
I like the weight of it, it almost feels like a smaller nexus 5 to me. The camera is horrible if anyone is interested in that feature. I haven't really tried the video recording just yet. The speaker is not very loud while watching YouTube videos. The design is amazing and i appreciate originality and that's why i purchased the phone. If anyone has any questions, let me know in a comment.
I agree about the camera. I'm not sure if it's software or hardware related. It's decent in low-light, but compared to most flagships, it is really bad. Then again, for this price, I didn't expect it to be amazing.
The battery is fantastic though. Absolutely wonderful thanks to the Snapdragon 400. It's not the most powerful, but the battery life is amazing.
The screen is BEAUTIFUL even though it's only 720p. With the edge-to-edge, it really makes the screen pop. The colors can be adjusted between a few different settings, so it can be changed some based on what the user prefers.
Screenshots are super easy, and I even take them accidentally sometimes. Just swipe across the very top of the screen. Couldn't be easier.
I thought the bottom bezel would be too big, but honestly it isn't bad. I don't mind the size of it.
My new FAV for 8 days, now not so much

I fell in LUST with the looks of the Sharp Aquos Crystal and decided to order one from Boost Mobile on October 14 so I could compare it to my existing T-Mobile Galaxy Note 3.
Upon side-by-side comparisons to Galaxy Note 3, I quickly discovered the following:
I could be happy with the 5" screen.
Despite lower screen resolution specs, I found everything on the Sharp to be razor sharp (pun intended).
Screen color saturation is as vivid as my Note 3. Watched some live TV using Dish Anywhere and found the overall picture on Sharp to be BETTER than Note 3.
Biggest surprise (so far) is that despite running latest Effortless F9 debloated custom ROM on my Note 3, the Sharp seems every bit as fast & responsive with the supposedly slower processor and less RAM.
Sharp Aquos Crystal includes LESS bloatware than I've found of most prior smartphones. Thanks Sharp!
No problems running any of my favorite apps: Dish Anywhere, Jump Desktop, MX Player, ShopSavvy Barcode Scanner,Out of Milk,CheapOAir,Waze,FlightStats, PolarisOffice5, Nova launcher Prime 3.1,One More Clock,Mr. Number, Astro File Manager,Icon Changer, WinZip, iHeartRadio,TripAdvisor
CONS discovered over the past 8 days of use:
Had to switch the USB cable from a 3.0 to 2.0 port before I could transfer data to/from my micro SD card in the Sharp.
With only 1GB of RAM, I've had apps freeze or act strangely which has forced me to reboot the phone once or twice a day to recover.
Screen Cast. Unlike my prior Note 3, EZcast not working with my HDTV because of lower resolution of the sharp phone.
Camera. Unable to save pics to external SD card. Have to use ES File Explorer to copy or move. I believe this bug is related to Android 4.4.2 (a bug that can be fixed if/when this phone gets rooted). I will also admit to be a bit spoiled by the better 16 megapixel on my former Note 3 vs. only 8 megapixel on the 306SH.
Tethering. Until this phone gets rooted with some custom ROMs, we won't have ANY free Wi-Fi hotspot tethering (basic $35/month Boost plan does not include ANY free tethering).
$5 gets you one day of hotspot service.
For all these reasons, I am now considering the return of this phone (per Boost Mobile's trial period moneyback guarantee). On 10/26/2014 I will be looking at the LG G3, Note 4 and Nexus 6 as possible alternatives to suit my needs. for the coming year.
Glenn ;(
I got the phone for $49. I ported my # over from att to get 100 off the phone plus got 10GB of LTE for 55 per month. Ended up paying around $110 total. I consistently get 20-30MB down. I'm also coming from a Nexus 4. So heres my breakdown as compared to the LG Nexus 4, which I love by the way. In all honesty there's lots of similarities between the Nexus 4 and the Aquos Crystal. That's an excellent thing in my book. Here goes.....
The Design of the Crystal is simply breathtaking. It seriously looks like something from the future(think Total Recall, Fifth Element). It's imposing, has presence, and with the screen on it commands attention from a good distance away. It has a metal frame! No BS! Pretty impressive! While I think the Nexus 4 is one of the most sexiest phones ever made with the screen on, the Crystal is just amazing and better looking than any other smartphone available. With the screen off the Nexus 4 beats everything and that probably won't ever change.
Battery life is CRAZY good. I can't understand for the life of me how I got 6 hours of SOT for my first charge! Everything was syncing and setting up(used a GB of data(Damn)). I expect it to get even better! One of my reasons for wanting to upgrade from my Nexus 4 was battery life. Sure it's 2 years old but I could only muster around 3-4 hours SOT. Lame
I also love how Sharp kept raw Android yet added some useful and some just cool features. Thank you for proper on screen keys!!!!!!
Side by side the Crystal is ever so slightly shorter than the Nexus 4 yet it's screen is 5 inches vs the 4's 4.7 incher. This overall form, function, and innovative design adds to the futuristic feel. It's more comfortable to use one handed than the nexus 4 and every 5 inch flagship available today(I've held all of them).
Screen quality is very close but if anything the Crystal feels much more vibrant and beautiful at lower brightness settings to the Nexus 4. (I cry for my nexus on the inside)
Data speeds where I'm at literally smash every other carrier to pieces. And I get 10GB vs. 2.5 of HSPA+
So battery life is so good you can't figure out how it's possible...
Breathtaking and innovative design that will surely be copied soon. That screen is beautiful and magical. Yea, the no earpiece technology from 100 years from now works like a dream. Call quality is fantastic and the HD voice works eerily well.
Build quality. A metal frame on a prepaid phone...What else to say? Fit and finish is great too.
What sucks? Well the camera kinda. As a Nexus 4 owner I'm used to it but the Nexus 4 camera sprays poo on the Crystal's. I actually love the Crystal's camera UI very much and think it's a very nice camera app that offers just enough and not too much. Outdoor performance is pretty average but indoors or under low light it's pretty abysmal. I don't really care either. I paid $49 for the phone. Keyword being phone and not camera
Aside from the camera the only other negative I can think of is we probably won't ever get an update. Then again not much is known about how well or poor Sharp supports their phones. Who knows they might try and make a positive first impression by updating it. Hard to tell.
Meanwhile my nexus 4 will get Lollipop as soon as it comes out......in two weeks..
In terms of a quality OS, anything Jellybean and up is pretty fantastic in my opinion. So having KitKat forever isn't really bad at all at least to me.
So coming from a Nexus 4 I'm seriously impressed with this Sharp Aquos Crystal and would highly recommend it to anybody. The value alone boggles the mind. It could easily sell for twice or three times as much.
If anyone has any questions I'll be happy to help give some feedback. Thanks for reading!
The phone sucks on the Aquos Crystal? I don't think so.
CORRECTION: Title: should read, "camera sucks? I don't think so."
I don't know what other users are comparing to but for $150 I couldn't be more pleased with the Sharp Aquos Crystal that I ordered online from Boost Mobile with next day delivery for just a bit over $160 with tax and delivery. I've had it for close to a week. Prior to this phone I had the HTC SV One, also a Boost phone. The Aquos is extremely smart looking. The camera exceeds my expectations. If I compared it to a $600 phone I might find a reason to wish for more but this phone cost a hundred bucks less than the HTC, has an extra half gig of ram and it's not reeking with bloat. For anyone else living in the real world who likes paying $40 a month for service that's "good enough," and would like a phone for about $150 that "exceeds expectations," good luck finding something better. Grab the Aquos, you won't regret it.
Can't find anything on it yet for rooting, but the available ram will allow plenty of time to wait until a kit becomes available.

Feel free to be as insulting as you wish. My opinion is that the phone is perfectly adequate. I can snap a picture, post it to facebook, ebay or craigslist with sufficient quality, good enough. I have auto settings enabled. There are a number of settings available. For a hundred fifty dollar phone, I couldn't be more pleased.
Have a nice day.

Honestly the reason why I said it was horrible is because its very pixelated, I have plenty cell phones like the 6plus,nexus5,m8,iphone5s. So I would understand sub par performance from a camera. Ive had the motog also which is around the same price point . I did some video tests on YouTube, the video quality is fair. But I can honestly say if you take photos even in the right lighting, Its okay but if you zoom in just a little bit its starts to look distorted. Maybe horrible would be the wrong word if it was the quality of a old flip phone picture but its below average in my personal opinion.

I'll agree that the camera is probably not the best feature on the phone but for $150, and given my picture taking needs, I can live with it. The only reason I'm sticking up for the camera is because I think that anyone considering a Boost android phone, mine costs $40 a month with "good enough" service, is likely to find that this phone exceeds expectations given the price.

Not insulting you. Just stating the obvious. Glad you like the new phone. Now get the sand out of your vagina and have a great day!
its a good phone with a better price.
I've had my sharp since mid November, coming from a HTC one sv who's micro USB port went out that I was in love with I'm going to say after the first 5 minutes I was saying HTC what?? The only things that comes software wise is clip now which is very nice but I quickly disabled it (pwr+ vlme down works fine for me) and my personal favorite when you click on the screen it sends a colored line around the borders, after finding a green themed one I quickly switched to it and looks cool everytime I turn it on. Other than that pretty basic andriod which is all good by me, don't need a bunch of software and features I don't use. Also it came relatively light on the bloat ware from boost compared to past phones I've owned, and majority of which didnt need root to get rid of (hope a root gets found soon) and the rest I could disable to prevent updates taken space for unneeded bloatware. The cameras nothing to write home about but it takes decent enough pics for me and has led flash ( a feature a lot of entry level phones don't have ). The mobile data speeds are great on 4 g and 3 g seems to be better than my old HTC. Sharp might have saved a little coin by putting a lower res. screen in the 306sh than other flagship phones, but this isn't a flagship phone, the aquos crystal X is their flagship. So comparing this $150 phone to $300+ phones is only going to show just how good sharp is at making a premium feel for a dam good price. My only complaint is the beezless design will sometimes mistake my hand touching the side of the screen while I hold it as a click, but a case fixed the problem. I'd say a case is mandatory for this phone like 90% of this phone is all screen your not gonna want to drop this phone without a case, I'd also advise getting a tempered glass screen protector, I got my bat case and screen protector which ran me 12 bucks on amazon.
try camera FV5, i think it will help camera sharp better than stock camera

The camera complaints are so stupid. You want a camera, you buy a camera. And it's not pixelation, it's called noise. To be pixelated means that the image is smaller than the screen, allowing you to see the individual pixels. These images are 8MP, far larger than the phone's 720p display, and even 4K.
For $150, what do you expect? You bought a phone. I didn't buy this phone expecting an incredible camera with high ISO. I bought this phone for an incredible phone experience, and I am getting it. This seriously surpasses ones like the Samsung Galaxy S3 I had last year, which is still $200 by comparison (though the S3 has plenty of established roots, ROMs and kernels available, so there's that).
I heartily suggest this phone for anyone looking for a good phone at a good price. If you don't mind the missing tweaks at the moment, it's not half-bad.
Just don't base your purchase on the camera [emoji13]

I agree, the camera is more than adiquit for the price. Be glad sharp didnt charge more for this phone. 160$ out if pockets a great deal, the $55 I paid with online deal and promo code was a steal (that's not including the account credit for $50 with the new number). Sadly the deal (both code and discount) have been discontinued.

OK, so your comparing this $150 midspec phone to $300 and up phones flagship phones. Your opinion is based off of solely only expensive phones. Yes this camera is nothing to wow over, but neither is an insanely expensive smart phone that breaks the bank, which you seem to have in aboundance. Try comparing it to phones that are actually in its price range. How much monthly were you paying for that M8? Or 6plus? Or 5S? Really sure what ever figure your about to throw out their doesn't justify that wow effect the camera had. Being a senior member I'd figure you'd bring more to the table than just a bunch of negative comments on the camera. And the person here who should be emberrased BTW is you for comming across as a straight ass, like really who buys these phones for you?

Haha, I like your honesty. But if you did read carefully, I said I also have a Moto G which is about 100$.The moto g camera is better then the sharp aquos crystal. I gave a huge amount of credit towards the phone originality except for the camera which is a honest opinion. Even if I didn't mention any of the other phones, I still would've said the camera isn't good at all. I believe if Sharp produces a second version to this phone. The camera will be better. This is my opinion post and it is subject to criticism, which I expect but this is a topic about your "initial thoughts".

First I'd like to apologize, still new to posting on forums and I though that both quotes were from you, now realizing that the one that hit my button was not from you (the quote saying amaze us ect.) So again sorry for that. Definetly came across like an idiot there. I'd also like to say that the moto g is also a great phone, but it not supporting an extenal SD card and no miracast support on stock unrooted device is a big buzz kill on that phone, so it has its con's (I'm referring to first gen g, have yet to play with second gen). So I'd say for an average everyday andriod user the moto g might be a better fit, due to said better camera for social networking ect. And it being half the cost of the sharp ($80 new I believe). But we can most certainly agree, the cameras definitly the biggest con besides no root being avalible as of yet. Who knows, if we get root their might be a possibility to improve the camera through rewritten software on a custom ROM. It is hard to see why a 8mp camera has sub par quality to this extent. I believe its due to a slapped together software that was never fully optimized to use the 8mp camera. So here's to wishful thinking and unicorns for root.
At first I thought I was dreaming but sure enough since the update the shutter lag is almost gone. It was a 230MB update, it seems like they updated a lot of stuff. Also my battery life is much better since the update from what I've seen.
Great stuff.
Mine seems better as well. My battery doesn't drop from 100 to 99 in the 1st 10 seconds anymore either lol

Camera seems the same to me, I didn't have complaints before though. I think the reason it drops to 99 right away is because the phone charges to 100% then charging turns off and starts charging again at 99%, so you may have just unplugged at a more opportune moment.
Camera still lags massively for the front facing camera
Not seeing much of an improvement on camera lag here... Still pretty terrible.

You do realize what everyone is saying sucks is the very thing you say in your "p.s", right?
The fact you do have to wait so long before it focuses and takes a picture is what sucks about it. Any decent smartphone doesn't come close with how long this camera takes.
I tap it, it focuses, it takes the shot.
I must be missing the problem here.
I'm aware it has a slow shutter but that doesn't make it suck. It means I need to use it differently until they fix it.
It could be worse. It could take pics uber fast and never truly focus, ala gnex. There was no fixing that garbage camera.
This all reminds me of my wife. She has always taken my hand me downs. She wanted my Note 2, because it took great pics.
Then she got it and they sucked. Then she wanted my Note 3 because it took great pics. Then she said something was wrong because her camera shots came out bad.
Then she got a Note 4 because of the camera. She complains about the pics again. We went on a trip yesterday and both snapped pics. She doesn't understand why my Turbo pics look so much better.
I have a secret weapon: I let it focus. Too many people take pics on their phones and are too impatient to even let them properly focus.

That's the very problem for some of us - we don't have time to let it focus before we miss the shot we want. I have an 18 month old, if I can't capture something the split second it happens, the moment is gone. My S4 focused much quicker, and I've played around some with the G2 and G3, both of which are also faster. Don't get me wrong, the Turbo bests all of those phones in the categories that matter more to me, focusing and shutter speed (or lack thereof) is this phone's one flaw in my opinion. Both of which I really hope can be fixed with software tweaks. No reason this phone's HP shouldn't allow improvements there.
I definitely noticed an improvement in the front camera, even before I read any comments on here.

A phone camera has never been good for instant action though if you don't anticupate. They don't have the hardware for it imo. Ive seen people with ois make blurry shots snd blame the device.
Ive always learned to antcipate for good shots on a phone and is worked out pretty well. I'm sure the software will get improved. Last years motos had camera woes too that were largely addressed by software updates.

You keep missing the point here... the point those of us complaining is there are several phone's that exist today, many of which are generations behind the turbo that take pictures much faster than the turbo does (my GS3 and GS4 sdsurferbob mentioned being perfect examples).
Listen, I love my Turbo and have no regrets for choosing it, it's just super disappointing and almost inexcusable for any feature of a "flagship" to be worse than phones 3+ years old.

I think you missed my point. Im aware of the shortcomings but no amount of stating this will fix the problem. We as users can adjust until then, however.
Im aware of phones that snap better pics, because ive owned them. However somehow i take better pics with my turbo than my wife with her note 4. The only variable is the user right? Ive learned to overcome. We CAN take good pics. Or we can tell everyone the camera sucks and just suffer because we don't want to take the time to do better. I chose the prior and I get great pics.
I'll be happy when moto fixes the camera, but until then I will adapt.
Got my Moto Maxx today and I was expecting the camera to be very slow, and its way faster than what I've seen on some reviews. Still not as fast as it should be but I'm confindent Lollipop will solve all camera problems.
Lower the resolution and it takes them even faster.
It's a phone with a camera to me. If I'm going to an event and pics are important I have a camera to bring. If I need one spur of the moment this camera works fine for me. Just my opinion.
The One still a GREAT phone almost two years later; ( my opinion )
I'll make this short, I got the OPO back in late Summer 2014, after replacing my damaged HTC One M8 ( which I LOVED, and converted to GPE ) The Kit Kat ROM's were awesome on the OPO, giving me like crazy 7h Screen On time, I liked the shape and design of the phone, it sort of seemed like a Nexus 5-1/2, the Nexus phone Google would have made after the Nexus 5, if they didn't go Motorola. The OPO has a sort of Galaxy Nexus + Nexus 5 combo design going on, in a good way.
Yeah I hate OPO's invite system, and all the BS within the company, and to be honest the OnePlus Two does ZERO for me, I have no interest in that phone whatsoever. Seems like a side grade at best to the OPO. Plus not a fan of the SD810, so put me down as a OnePlus Two hater
Since I bought the OPO I have had the iPhone 6 Plus ( Jailbreaked, just to try out a big iPhone and the JB scene, but iOS blows IMO, ran back to Android less than a month later ) Then I bought the Nexus 6 which I liked a lot, especially stock Android and AOSP ROM's, but the Nexus 6 was really crossing that border for me size wise, just too wide. And now I currently have the Note 5, running a good custom ROM. The Note 5 surprised me, as I typically don't like Touchwiz, but with a good ROM, it really is fast and smooth, and of course the screen and camera are #1.
My point here is, I still kept my OnePlus One as a back up phone, but for a long while was left in a drawer for months, so I dusted it off, and installed Sultan's CM13 ROM, and holy ****, I forgot how much I liked this phone, and the stockish vanilla Android type OS of CM13 vs. Touchwiz is so nice. I am SIM swapping between my OPO and Note 5 every few days, I really like the OPO still, even compared to my Note 5. Yes of course the Note 5 is a better phone no doubt. But here's something special about this OPO, like the old EVO 4G thanks to XDA that lived on a very long time, this OPO is one of those few special phones, with the help of the great development community will live a long life. Plus the hardware is still pretty fast in the OPO, it's not like a slow turtle or something.
I hated the OnePlus Two, but the One X really surprised, looks like a great phone. I am very optimistic on the OnePlus Three now, if they can design it sort of after the One X, similar build quality and design, but with the SD820 + 4GB RAM, with a 5.5" screen, and keep the price around the $400 range or so, it could be another killer phone.
Since 2007 I have owned 4 phones (N95, HTC Desire, Galaxy Nexus, OnePlus One), you have managed that in the time i've had my OnePlus One lol.
Not enough changes even every two years to really justify a new phone these days, I still consider the OnePlus to be one of the best phones out today. Sure some phones are a bit better, however for me the battery life is amazing, the phone is really fast, has a nice camera and plenty of storage. I personally don't need anything else!
I'd personally be happy using the OnePlus as my main phone for another couple of years yet!
I used to say the same thing until i moved to a Nexus 6 some time ago. Only then i could see what an average phone the OPO is.
I still have my OPO but i see no point in using it.
Average in comparison with nexus 6 ? Are u serious ?
Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
What ROM are you running on the Note 5?
Yes. In normal day usage its average per comparison.
The screen is worst, i have actually better battery on the Nexus, better feel on the hand, larger screen, better official support, better community, better roms, better hardware, fast charging, wireless charging, dude the list goes on.
The opo is an average phone in comparison with the Nexus.
That's why mine is on the drawer, getting dust. If it was a better phone i would be using it and not the Nexus.

Then you suddenly remember, (for me in Australia anyway) my OPO was $413 shipped, a Nexus 6 (not 6P) now is $849, and when they were the "latest Nexus" they were $949. And in the US the OPO is $299 and the N6 is $699... So looking at that, the Nexus 6 has a bigger screen (higher resolution, but bigger, so doesn't really matter anyway..), fast charging (eh can charge my OPO from 0-90% in just under 60 minutes anyway so..), clearly didn't have the bamboo back in regards to better feeling in the hand, better community is completely subjective to the user, as is better ROM's, better hardware is again subjective. The OPO has a better camera (5mp front vs 2mp) and can record in up to 1440p on the front camera, and 4K DCI on the back, not just 4K UHD. Battery life is again, subjective, but with a slightly bigger battery but a larger screen I expect the difference to be negligible at best. The OPO and N6 have the same amount of RAM. The processor, is better, but more importantly the GPU, but then with the 1440p screen the GPU needs to be considerably better.
I'd say average is an overstatement.

Nowdays, didn't said when the opo got released. Ofc the Nexus 6 was a very expensive device, it is also a more premium device.
Nowdays the opo is average and the Nexus is way, and i put WAY better and fairly the same price. I saw no point in paying full price when the Nexus 6 got out but nowdays you can have a top notch phone for less than 300 bucks.
And all the rest is just you making peanuts based on nothing, the Nexus as far as my experience goes is way better. You are trying to justify based on nothing.
As i have both i can opinate. Battery life is better on the Nexus, you can read reviews and shiz but they cant properly compare devices. I was getting under 5 hours of sot with my opo and i get over 5 hours now with just a kernel flashed. So, no, its not just negligible because you saw the battery numbers.
I dont like wood backs, and i do not need that for a phone to feel better. I have that stock on the Nexus 6. The metallic ring does wonders, no wood back can do that.
Also the camera, i'm sorry but everyone who says the opo camera is better is out if his mind. They both have average cameras but the Nexus is better, i can take better low light photos and HDR+ makes all the diference when capturing this, also ois helps, things that, wait, do not compute hardware side on the opo. The front facing camera performs equally better for the tasks i use it for, unlocking and some hangouts. Hell i can say the Nexus front camera doesnt do so much miss and run unlocking, but can be software side changes also. And im not even going to talk about the horrible halo effect due to the flash over exposing on the opo camera, i tried every single camera app/rom to avoid this but every one failed, the one that the halo was less noticeable was sultans ROM due to the changes be made to the hal. But even then i could notice some over exposure when using flash on dark places.
Moving on..
The screen isnt just bigger its BETTER. Better and noticeable contrast ratio, collors, deep darks, higher res that is noticeable, and yes, bigger.
The gpu isnt marginaly better, its awsomely better on the Nexus. The same games i used to get sutters on the opo doesnt sutter on the Nexus, its not just bechmarks, even pushing a way lot more pixels.
Also the sound, i forgot to mention. No point arguing here, the Nexus isnt boomsound but its a world better than the opo. Front fireing speaks are way better than bottom ones. You dont even know what you are loosing until you try it.
So, yes, nowdays the opo is average. Im sorry if you have to justify you have a top notch phone because you havnt. There are way better alternatives nowdays.
PS: Fast charging does make diference, i dont know you try to dismiss that as a very positive point. And i can also wireless charge it, but i guess thats just comodities that i like to have.

"top notch" is definitely an arguable claim, the camera was, less than stellar on the Nexus 6 and the hardware has aged with 64-bit now in play, alongside the new Snapdragon 808 and 810.

? I do have the Nexus 6 and OPO? So, I can and will justify what I said on the fact that I have both devices.
As I have both I can opinionate, on KitKat I got 6-7h SOT consistently on LTE, and 8-9h SOT Wi-Fi without a problem, Lollipop in it's early days decreased that number to 3.5-4.5h LTE, 4-5 Wi-Fi however on my current ROM (Sultan's CM12.1 stable) I consistently get 5-6h SOT easy every day on 3G (at home so I don't have Wi-Fi and can't test). So yeah, battery life is much better compared to my 6, which gets maybe 3.5-4.5h SOT on stock rooted with FK on LTE, and max 5.5H SOT with Wi-Fi low brightness etc.

Again, I think that feeling completely comes down to personal preference. To be honest I don't particularly like metal phones, I own a slew of devices (Z3 Compact, Z5 (gave to Dad), Galaxy S4, Galaxy S5, Galaxy Alpha, Galaxy Note 2, Moto X 2013, Moto X 2014, Nexus 6, OPO, Nexus 5, HTC One M8 (sold to brother), HTC One M9(gave to Mum)) and I hands down prefer a plastic phone to metal, I don't know why but I just don't like the feel of metal, the S6 is okay, but phones like the M8 and M9 I can't handle, and the N6 was borderline for me.
But I do understand that I am in the minority so whatever.

The OPO on Sultan's ROM has an incredible camera, using the Snapdragon Camera app or Camera FV-5 (fixes the "horrible halo" in manual mode, however I really don't use the flash anyway..) I can consistently take a photo that I am happy with, I mean it's no S6, but it by no means takes bad photos either. Why the Nexus 6 does have a good camera, the Moto G this year is using the same sensor, basically sums it up, within 12 months the camera had moved from a $700 phone to a $200 phone.

The screen on the 6 is nicer than the OPO, however I find the cool colours of the OPO actually nicer than the panel on the 6. I also have a slightly modified screen profile on my phone so that might make all the difference. Deep blacks are due to the AMOLED, and owning both AMOLED and IPS phones I do prefer IPS, however again, that is totally a personal preference thing and I understand you may think differently.

This is true as well, front facing speakers are great, but then again, I don't really use the speakers on my device, I either use my earphones, my computer which has much superior sound anyway, or Bluetooth Audio in my car, there is never really a time when I want to use the speaker on my phone. But I will say I've never had a "problem" with the sound on the OPO.

I don't need to justify that I have a top notch phone, I very well know that I have a phone that was released almost 2 years ago, and I also know that I have the means to buy any phone of my choice right now, however, the OPO is still working for me so I'd rather buy something that I am actually going to use. I'll buy the OnePlus 3 on launch, and if that treats me well then great, and if it doesn't I'll probably buy next years Nexus devices. But in the same breath, the Nexus 6 is nothing amazing, it is well over a year old now, lacks some "crucial" things for a current top-notch smartphone, being a fingerprint scanner, 64-bit to name a few.

Lucky I don't live in the US. Here it is still going for $849. I also can't get the Nexus 6 from the current deals as they refuse to ship to Australia. However, looking on Swappa I can get a OnePlus One, $150-180, saw one for $180 brand new in box. I do get that for the price the Nexus 6 is a killer deal, however it's not to say that you should throw whatever you have out the window, and there are just as good a deals around for other products, like the OnePlus One.
Stock, just a kernel i get over 5 hours sot, with the same usage on the opo not even close to that. So, in my opinion way, WAY better. Adaptative brightness on the Nexus with adaptative display always on. And i can't see how your results may vary but anyway, im a believer.
Premium materiais =/= your opinion. If you think having a metal ring arround the phone doesn't make it premium keeping it light than every manufacturer must have gone to the idiot side for using those.
No, the camera fv5 does not fix that. Paid version that i bought when they introduced RAW support for the opo. Im sorry but you are wrong (again), its a good app but the over exposure problem goes way deeper for a camera app to solve, it goes into a ****ty camera Hal and blobs. The sensor is good but the work done with it sucks ass. The photos low light on the Nexus are way better, normal light condition are equally better, i could post some examples but i dont have the time or need to do that. The camera api is also much better which makes you get better photos apps to take photos. Arguably i use the google camera for the HDR+ which no other camera app has and it totally makes the difference. You have no halo, less grainy photos.
The screen on the Nexus is better. For all those reasons and more make them a way better panel than the one on the One. Amoled pannels when used properly can help you produce better images and save power. Ips panels are good for true collor reproduction when properly calibrated, the one on the One is not. Problematic yellow tints and washed out collors, color shifting, grey mushy blacks, you name it. And no, i do not loose time messing with the settings to try and calibrate it when it was my daily driver. I only used the pre defined amoled settings on CM. The colors would pop out a bit more.
If you never had problems with the speakers on the opo you cearly do not use your phone. When im showing something to friends, and this happens allot, and we need sound for example, not giving out a pair if bt headsets to all of them. If im watching a tv show i rather have sound come from the phone, stereo sound.
I used to cover them all the time with the opo because if their bad placement. Not that it isnt better than the ones located on the back, but clearly problematic and worse.
The fast charging is needed for those who use their phones all the time. Sometimes i get home from work, i get my phone on the charger to boost its battery before going out for a coffee. Ofc if i do not use my phone, if i stay home i do not need fast charging because im close to a charger. But then again thats your problemas for not using the phone an not needing a well needed feature like fast charging. Also i installed a wireless charging pad on my car so no cables, couldnt have that before.
The rest is just peanuts, even your phone collection that you may or may not have had is peanuts to me. Im not bragging about the phones i had because when i move i move to a better one, i do not move to a crappier one.
What i have to say about that is, im happy with my Nexus 6 and its a well better device than the opo. It was a well needed upgrade on all meanings. Google device everyday over the opo at the moment. Oneplus is a crappy company with no support, they made a successull phone due to Cyanogen. Most devs are running away from this phone which will end up with a bad version of android, a version full of problems. So im not even interested in their Oneplus X A B or 3. I did not look at the Oneplus 2 because of that same reason, its a ****ty device with the lack of a proper os.
The fingerprint reader and the 64bit are arguably good features if you need them. The 64 bit is a double sided blade, instructions on the VM can be bigger but you need more RAM to take advantage of that, maybe in some years you can see a practical bebefit for that. But even then you wont run high memory desktop apps on your phone. The fingerprint reader i would like to havê as a gimmick, does nothing on my country (no Android pay for example) and like i said i relly on having a pebble and face unlocking. Doesnt make a phone to be less of a top notch, pick your poison over the thousands of chinese phones that have those and suck ass (elephones and other crap).
Ofc you can have a different opinion but hardware/software comparison you cant deny its better. Or maybe you can trying to smooth things up with facts that are not facts with surreal opinions like saying: "oh yea i had this, that and that, and i know its supperior but im the minority thinking like this, oh well" (the i dont use the flash made me lol so hard).
The Nexus 6 as the price of today is more of device than the opo, better hardware and support. If you cant even acept this its your problem. But as you would say "meh meh i dont need good hardware/software support i dont use it".
Btw not going to answer anymore. Hardcore fanboysim is really hard to beat.
Be well, take care.

Strangely enough you are the fanboy. He just stated his opinions without necessarily attacking you and you feel the need to belittle him to make your argument sound better. I don't doubt the Nexus 6 is a great phone but claiming the OPO is average makes me believe you are really poor when it comes to judgement and based on this long ass post you made you proved this to be a fact.
Fingerprint reader isn't just for Android Pay its just another convenient way to unlock that is much more secure than current implementations. I agree Oneplus is a crappy company and the only reason I bought this phone is Cyanogenmod. Not interested in any their new units OP2 and OPX cause of closed source OS. Being a heavy user doesn't make you better and doesn't make your usage or battery stats or anything better. You don't have to insult or demean someone when they were just having a discussion with you.

Yep, he's a fanboy, saw that from post #1. I've worked with both phones, and even though the N6 is really good, the OPO is still an amazing device for it's age, calling it average is just plain dumb.

I don't even care to argue about the cameras in word form, but I'll just show you some of the photos that I have taken in the last few weeks on my OPO; these images have been compressed twice, just as a side note (through Facebook Messenger because I don't have a microUSB cord on me at this moment, and then through imager.) I'd like to see if anyone is just looking at this, their thoughts on these photos, but I mean that's not required I quite like them and that's all that really matters.

And sorry if I was "bragging" about my "fake" group of phones, it was more anecdotal evidence to say that I don't just have a sole phone and am trying to talk ****, but again if it's "fake" then who really cares, right?
Lol and I'd just like to quote some of this, "fingerprint reader is a gimmick, I "relly" on FACE UNLOCKING". that is all.
I would hardly say that I am a fanboy, and a hardcore one at that is just ridiculous, but whatever lets you go to sleep at night, I'd be looking in the mirror and wondering if you're a Nexus fanboy.
I love the fact that the OnePlus One has no boot chain verification, meaning I can modify the bootloader and other partitions on the phone.

I bought new OPO even when I'm owning s6, and I had one OPO already I just love this device!! I gave my old OPO to dad! even he loves it .. ( first touchscreen phone he has ever used! )
I can do nothing more than agree! I bought the phone one and a half years ago and it still feels very nice. I don't even think about getting a new phone for now.
The OPO will also have a long support life, thanks to XDA
Have to agree with this thread. Using the OPO for about a year now. I've been bitten by the upgrade bug, but don't really have a phone which has seriously drawn me to it within a decent price range. Maybe the 6P, but it's so expensive and I don't really gain that much in terms of tangible benefit.

At least according to this review's measurements, the OPO's screen is better in color accuracy than the Nexus 6
http://www.anandtech.com/show/8242/the-oneplus-one-review/2
And when I compare it with the same picture on my PC's IPS screen, it is pretty much comparable(the LG IPS236v produces slightly punchier reds than the OPO's screen).
Today, I will update my phone to CM13 by Sultan so I have the latest software! As a developer it's awesome to be able to get the state of the art software without restrictions.
Same opinion?
