I do but from the speculated specs it's not gonna have US 3G bands. I hope the rumors are wrong. Plus, I can imagine how much it's gonna cost. I'm not paying anywhere near a $1000...maximum maybe around $700.

i did hear this a while ago but have not seen it confirmed, when i ask by twitter on the xperia blog i was told it was up to vodaphone to announce it but on there website it just says november.

just got a direct message from the xperia blog on twitter. i ask why i have not see and reviews yet. they said that they are still waiting for the final x2 software and and we should see reviews soon. they said in a twwet to someone else that they should be sent out next week.
can they release on the 6 november when they still have not got the final software? i doubt they will, my guess would be mid to late november

Would seem odd, but then again it wouldnt suprise me if SE released this early without the final software update. It says so on the Voda website that it will come on the 6th.

To find out, go to this page http://www.vodafonetouchthephone.com/ , click on "skill game", while playing that on the bottom left of the screen different phones will pop up, everytime the phone pops up the date of release pops up with it. You may have to play it a few times as different phones pop up.

looks like the 6th is the official date. but one thing i would point out is the satio's date is the original one and that was delayed by a week or 2 so the x2 might get the same treatment but lets hope not.

We won't see the X2 in the shelves before the very end of November the earliest.

I don't get it... so You guys are actually waiting for it?? damn... msm 7200a cpu is sooo yesterday comparing to snapdragon or a8 cortex devices. I would wait few more weeks/months if I were You. the worst thing one can do is to sign a vodaphone contract for 18 - 24 mths to get it. well... other than 8 mp camera, what's so special about x2 anyway? panels? please..... SE's quality??

Someone wrote in an SE forum that X2 might get different hardware specs than what leaked before (7200a). Lets wait for the final device and see what aktually is in it
Lets hope they speed it up a bit.

If it does come out on the 6th it'd be just in time before the warranty for my X1 expires so that I can send it for servicing of the keyboard. Been delaying it for so long cos can't do without it for a day.

Well what is SO strange if somebody WANTS that?
I don't ****ing care if it's "so yesterday" or today on paper.
If it works well - great, **** the "dry" specs.
And if it works bad, it's bad.
BTW I don't get any Vodafone contract, but simply buy this from SE.
As for device: great camera, great keyboard, good quality, and yes - also those damned panels. Now you get it?
Snapdragon - there are only two now, both touchscreen only, even no camera button - thank you.
I'm very picky as for hardware/formfactor, nothing convinces me.
N900 - please, a device which works in landscape ONLY???
So - not much to choose from!
And Android - that would be interesting but again - depending too much on Google - thanks.
I'd be really happy to have at least 3 devices I like to choose from but it just cannot happen!

MyTouch 4G for T-Mobile USA out on the 3rd of November (a worthy hardware bump)... tough decisions. I will probably wait until the 8th to see if anything really surfaces.
I believe it to be rumor at this point, but surely we all hope it is not.

The device that Samsung are going to announce on November 8th is called the Samsung Continuum. It is going to be a 2.1 device for Verizon and its main feature is that is dual-screen with the second screen acting as a ticker which will display weather, Facebook updates, etc...
However it is reported that there is going to a be a surprise announcement on the day of the Continuum unveiling of a new Nexus device, manufactured by Samsung, which will run Gingerbread. Apparently the device will be called the Nexus S.

I don't see why Google would choose Samsung over HTC. Unless they really want to develop Android on the Hummingbird GPU.
I do NOT like this. It's not even the Nexus One feel. Looks like every other variant of the Galaxy S.

If its stock Android + Google Apps and NOT carrier-subsidized, I will purchase one despite it not being manufactured by our beloved HTC.. when HTC releases their stock/gapps/unsubsidized super phone, I will purchase one of those too. This is of course after I confirm that they both feature 'fastboot oem unlock'...

If the Nexus 2 is the Gizmodo phone then why doesn't it have Android 3.0? The lime green phone icon they so claim its coming with. Not some plain ol' launcher icons. I hope thats not the Nexus 2.

[POLL] Tracking i9000M failures with new hardware versions

There's a couple of existing i9000M failure related polls but they're focusing on the firmware version. As far as I can determine, firmware/ROM versions, rooting, lagfixes and other software have been ruled out as the culprit. Instead, I'd like to begin tracking the failure of the new hardware being offered by Bell following their new replacement policy with Samsung. We know the older hardware is a complete failure - is the newer hw any better?
Since you can't change your vote after the fact, I'm not including a "working fine" option. Instead, I'm ONLY looking for those folks who have had their replacement phones FAIL to report their hardware dates (i.e. you had to return the phone and were unable to resolve the problem through flashing).
How do you find out my hardware date? Pop the back cover, remove your batter and look for the year.month numbers below the bar code & S/N. Remember, the date is stated as the first 2 digits being year and the last 2 being month.
[UPDATE: Jan 18/11] The poll options were expanded to include a Jan 2011 date and anticipated Feb & March dates as well. If this continues, I'll add newer options to the poll. I simply had the "post 10.12" option changed to 11.01 since that would be the only post 10.12 option available at this point.

Both of mine were 10.10's. This 3rd time though it has to go for repairs as Virgin Mobile isn't doing the direct replacement like Bell.
I've brought up the Bell stuff with them multiple times now and they won't say anything to it. I think they must be banned from speaking of Bell

Mine was a 10.08 that failed. Got a 10.09 that has been working flawlessly since I upgraded to JK4 then the JL2 on the day it came out (2 weeks ago now). Going to take some HD video this weekend to test it out.

Well, most of us have had mulitple phones. What if my JL2 dies next week? I can't update the poll and you will have incomplete data if this is the case for others that have voted too.

Nothing in this world is perfect - least of all these forum polls. Fortunately these results aren't going to result in a life-or-death situation. Just looking for an indication.
It might be worth changing the restrictions of the poll (assuming a mod can do so) so that we can submit multiple votes.

Five phones have failed on me now... this is pathetic. I love this phone, but it won't last more than 60 days.
All my phones have been 10.10 or before....
Don't know what to do... I'm REALLY frustrated.

This poll is moot. You will not get much of a picture of anything. The key would really be able to modify a vote a few weeks down the road, or perhaps add instructions indicating if folks have received recent replacements, NOT to vote for at least a few weeks or until they have sd failure.

Maybe I'll clarify the post to ask for reports on replacement phones received after the month of December.

It would be interesting if the users with 10.11 and 10.12 phones would post if their phones had the sd card won't mount message or if the failures were fc's, apps not installing, super lag, stuck at logo screen, etc. Also if they've done any rom flashing or lag fixes etc.

Got a 10.12 replacement today... will let you guys know when it fails.

Yes that bit of clarification would help....so that this thread doesnt gett buried, should get a mod to sticky it.

Failed 10.11
I picked up a brand new SGS on Dec 31, 2010. Awesome phone, had fun with it newyears eve, Dropped some videos and a little music, maybe 5 gigs total onto the internal SD. Loved the phone, nice bright screen. Things were awesome, well until Jan 5th when i was installing an app from wifi, and it failed so i redownloaded it again, and again failed, finally got a force close message so i decided it was time for a quick reboot of the phone. Thats when I went oh S$*@, it just kept rebooting. Samsung Galaxy S I9000M. I'm going back to virgin today, to get it swapped out to a new one, Virgin will replace phones within 14 days directly but after that you have to send it for repair, but @least virgin gives you a free loaner phone unlike bell.
I'll give the sgs 1 more try, and see if i cant force it to fail with some big data writes. Most likely they'll have more 10.11 hardware with stock JP6 flashed onto them.

- Users continue to experience failures on both Android 2.1 and 2.2 as follows:
- 2.1 - 27%
- 2.2 - 42%
- Both - 31%
- 45% of the time the Bell Rep did not acknowledge there is a problem (Strange, it is trending down)
I myself have just returned my 3rd phone in 3 months, the latest was a brand new device I received Jan 3rd, it lasted 5 hours before it failed with the official 2.2 firmware.

How many SGS have been sold globally, is it 10 million?

Agreed. I'm no fan on the desire z. If my phone dies again (and the new moto phone is out), that's what I'll be pushing for as a replacement.

I was one of those 50 un-fortunate guys whose shipping date changed from 9th Jan to 15-22 Jan and to 29th Jan, its already 3:00 p.m in U.A.E and no news from NI or factory. I'm not asking for any tracking no, just need a confirmation at moment that its shipped. I really don't know what to talk about this company at the moment. We all have waited so long with false hope. At-least NI don't fails us again.

Well, it is almost 8 pm in China at the moment, so I lost my faith in it at this moment...

Yeah, I am not going to wait if my order gets pushed back again. This is getting rediculous. Their are so many great tablets coming out and if I can't get my Adam soon I am going to go else where. Don't get me wrong, I really want the Adam but I feel add if notion ink thinks that everyone is going to put up with continual delays without giving us any info as to what's going on. They should at least give us an update as it is the 29th.

A shameful lack of communication from NI and hve you guys realised the "cancel your order has been removed from the NI preorder update page.
I have been a loyal follower for 9 months, I'm just disappointed to say I no longer believe anything posted by Rohan regarding hardware specs and especially shipping dates.
Rohan Shravan just outright refuses to update on shipping which is an enormous worry. The last he said was "2nd and 3rd" batches would ship on time and then slips in the Chinese New Year problem.

I don't even have a pre-order so i am thinking April+ for me(and many others) to have a chance to get one.
I don't envy Mr. Shravan to much, he must be under much stress from all directions.

Well, maybe........
- I read somewhere that a notification will be send only after it arrived in Hong Kong, not out of the fabric
- The cancellation link from our preordersite has been removed
- Rohan said in his blog the 2nd batch will be in time
- There is no statement of delay such as the last delay (12 seconds before end of day)
- Chinese New Year starts on tuesday?
So maybe, just maybe we will get our trackingmail on monday, the last day before Chinese New Year???

I read someone in NotionAddicts requested a cancellation on the shipping date, and was told (s)he could still cancel as his (her) Adam was not shipped.
So, I rather assume the shipment was delayed without any notice / a change in the estimated shipping date on the NI site than get disappointed.

I'm pretty sure Rohan stated on the blog that all the Adams would be shipped out even during the chinese new year. And that a small batch of screens got busted on their way over, but the company that makes them will stay and fix the ones that got broken before they leave for the new year.
Here's his quote taken from the blog:

Little bad and good news, one of our shipments for the touch screens got damaged while transportation which is going to effect a fraction of our customers. To make things worse, its New Year in China and every manufacturing plant is closed. I was very disappointed when in may it wasnot announced as expected. Almost at the end of June, we still have no confirmation
Last week, two Asus devices, the K008 and K009, were discovered listed under Bluetooth SIG and FCC certifications. Although the Asus device isn't confirmed as Google's Nexus 7 2 tablet, the coincidence is a large one. The Nexus tablet is expected to be released to the public in July, and the filing was dated to June.
This is going to be a heck of tablet with excellent features.
Latest rumours are :
Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor
2GB Ram
Android 4.3
Front 1.3 MP camera & 5MP rear camera
1080p resolution
16/32 Gb variants without SD card
LTE support would be added
Price is expected to be 200-250 US dollars.
With all this attraction and everything, I am googling at least ten times a day about new articles written about it.
Anyone has any more to say or waiting as patiently as me ?

I guess get her a small and cheap gift and tell her that your major GIFT is on its way. You are just waiting for something to happen !
But I am waiting till end of July, I hope it is released by then or I be travelling without it .....
But my guess is that, It will be in stores before 20th July. ( America companies usually have this strategy to release it before 4th July and this is usually the deadline)
