Tried doing this too. No you currently cannot do this. DO NOT attempt to do this or you will break your phone. What specific features are you looking for in the G900F that you want on your phone? If you're only interested in the antenna/connectivity features, that's a very slippery slope you're climbing.
But if I'm to assume you're going to or are in Europe you should be fine.
Your phone's LTE specs: LTE700 (B17), LTE1800 (B3), LTE2600 (B7), LTE900 (B8)
European Frequencies: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_LTE_networks#Europe
1800 and 2600 is common in that area. In my case, 2100 is only in one carrier (a faster one sadly) than another.
Mate am just looking for any international rom...i want to get rid of Korean bloatwares and sms limits...
Sent from my SM-G900K using XDA Free mobile app
I already PM'd you yesterday how to remove the bloatware. Not sure what you meant by SMS limits though. I don't have a problem with SMS on my phone. Tried 3 SIMs from different carriers with no problems.
And as what you can see in the sammobile.com site, there is no international ROM for this. As far as I can tell, the "K" designation is exclusive to Korea.
Sms limit mean sms to mms conversion...and korean dialler is also annoying...
Unfortunately i haven't got any pm from you about bloatwares as well....can u do it once again please. ...

Heads up folks. The Diagnostic USB Modem port for the lollipop version is broken! It took me the whole week fiddling around with the phone thinking I must've screwed up the system. I experimented with Kitkat then back to Lollipop. The diagostics port is broken. If you're planning on using QPST on this device DO NOT upgrade to lollipop!
I too own a Korean branded S5 and the dialer annoys me as well. How can I replace that?

I have my partner in Korea at the moment, and she might buy me the Korean SGS IV. It has LTE and the 1.8ghz Exynos chip.. are there any issues with using it, for instance, I can say I am in Australia? Im pretty sure it has all the LTE bands but does anyone know if it has some ugly extra antenna or doesnt send proper sized SMS? Thanks
Far as I understand it, the Korean version won't work on LTE in America. Sorry.
yes, it has a retractable antenna and sms is handicapped.

HUH? No retractable antenna on the Korean version. lol
You can fix the sms errors usually with a simple build prop edit.. (Root is needed) or by using an alternative sms app such as go sms pro..
Ive been using a optimus g pro for a month or so and everything works as expected

And where exactly is that understanding coming from? From the Samsung twitter feed that says the Exynos 5 supports all 20 LTE bands?

You're right about that. The chip supports it. But they only support radios in their own regions, for the most part. It would need radios capable of picking up all those networks.
Be very careful about buying from Korea. I'm in New Zealand and had to return my LG Optimus G Pro as some of the 3G frequencies were not supported despite the inter national specs saying they were.
Also apps like gosms did not work as a go around for the 80 sms character limit.
I really wouldn't bother risking it for a marginally faster phone. Get one at home where you know it is optimised to work on your home networks.

Hi folks
I bought a korean sgs-iv 32gb at XXX link removed due to forum policy XXX
I use it in germany on e-plus network and it works fine. I haven't tested LTE cuse I don't need it.
I could switch the phone and input to german language and almost everything is like a standard german s4 only some widgets remained korean and sms only support 80 chars. I'm optimistice that i'll be able to fix those small problems (with some help from YOU at XDAD).
btw the korean s4 has an antenna for dvbm, it's useless in europe but I use it to distinguish myself from the other standart s4 users and say: "size matters ".
I'm fully sattisfied with my purchase. It took about one week till my device was deliverd, the shop informed me abut every step in the delivery process (e.g. device arrived in europe..).
if you got any questions about the korean version i'll try to answre them... i'd say go ahead and get one...

Unfortunately those are part of the stock rom so we won't be able to change the korean language for all system apps. a work around on the 80char sms would be to use 3rd party apps such Go SMS. ive been using it since day1. by the way make sure to backup your STOCK rom for SHV-E300L, there aren't seem to be any roms like that available even here in XDADevelopers. incase you encountere software problem its always a good idea to have a backup on your pc.
Im stationed in Korea and i got the S4. Ive got it rooted and looking for alternative roms to flash as the battery life is horrible even with the extra battery provided. Would the 9500 series roms work on the Korean S4. I am guessing the rom would have to not include the modem to avoid errors, any feedback would be great . Mahalo

Anyone else intrigued by the LG G2 South Korean variant?
Anyone have any specsheet or detailed base band info for the models?
I'd love to order one into Canada and use it on Wind Mobile (AWS carrier kinda like T Mobile in the States).
There have to be some more people considering the same?
I've seen conflicting details regarding what the model numbers for the South Korean variants are. Anyone else have any info?
For e.g. I've seen LG F320S and LG F320K and LG F320L
Do all of these come with the microSD slot and removable battery?
I guess more importantly: Which one these is compatible with the North American AWS bands?
Would appreciate any deets anyone could provide.
Thanks.

I got myself the F320L, it is the U+ (LG's network in Korea) variant.
(4G and LTE are the same thing outside the US)
try using google translate plugin, or chrome, to translate the site.
I do remember a page with all of them listed, but can't find it right now... I'll update the post if/when I find it
Check negrielectronics, they are selling the SK version, you should be able to get your specs there.

No no, sorry for the late reply, different time zone. I'm using it on t mobile here in Holland.
I'm not allowed to post links yet but if you do a Google search on f320l bands, you will get some results.
I don't have specific battery details yet, battery monitor widget get confused by me swapping out the two batteries
It comes with two batteries and a charger/stand.
I never paid much attention to people complaining about non-swappable batteries, but I haven't had it hooked up to a charger ever since getting it last Saturday. I did swap out the batteries a few times, but hardly every day.

Question for you: if you pop off the back. Does it state f320s or f320l/s?
Mine actually states f320l/s, and although it is supposed to be the u+ version, which is a wdcma phone, I'm doing fine on hspa+

So just went on the negri electronics website and compared the various models.
Seems like none of the South Korean variants would work on T-Mobile USA/Wind Mobile Canada(AWS).
They don't have the 1700 frequency listed in their 3G band.
Can someone validate that this is indeed correct?

I cannot, but I can say that it works for 3g on Fido, at the very least. It is possible that I need an 'LTE sim card' to get LTE speeds, this is my next step. For now, 3g for the F320S works for Fido.
Also, the antenna captures nothing, but once you pull it out, it looks like a phone from the 80s, so yeah, its awesome.

So what is the benefit of the South Korean model? I see you get two batteries, but at 2600mAh vs the one battery at 3100mAh, you get the micro SD slot, and the removable back cover. What other benefits would I get if I traded my US AT&T LG G2 model for the SK one?
I am a noob at this so I am just trying to make an informed decision as to whether to keep this one or look at a different different one (European vs Asian vs American, etc...).

Really want the Korean version of the G2 - the expandable memory is a must for me.
However, I live in the UK and I'm not sure if the phone will work on the mobile networks here (I'm with O2).
I know there are a few threads on this subject but they're either applying to the USA or they're a bit too technical for me (bit of a noob).
So any pointers or help would be really appreciated. Thanks.
Check out the bands that are used in the UK and compare them to the bands that the phone uses.
Why not just grab a international version and a meenova. ?

The 4G signal for the Bahrain carrier operated on the 1800 MHz, and my carrier now operates on the 1900 MHz and 1700/2100 MHz bands. I wish to enable those bands on my phone. I know it is possible with the S5 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/general/how-to-add-rf-lte-frequency-bands-to-t2886059), but I can’t seem to get the Windows software to cooperate with my A5. Not sure if I need a specific Ark Kernel, or if I need to install a custom ROM.
I would prefer not to flash the entire ROM. My phone is rooted, but I’m still using the stock Kitkat ROM, and I’m quite pleased with it.
If anyone can help, I would be in your debt.
I think it's isn't possible
Others have been able to add 4G LTE bands to the S5. The guide that was provided was for the S5, so obviously different for an A5. A5 still uses a Qualcomm chip for this, so I think it's still worth trying to work out.

as I saw in the guide you must have a Root Access, Custom ROM and Custom Kernel installed on your device to do so... if the A5 already got all those things maybe its possible...
Already rooted. Was hoping to avoid flashing ROM. Probably will have to. Reaching out to poster of the S5 thread for additional help.
