ok now please dont take this personal,i am just asking a question out of confusion.... how does xda decide a moderator for a devices forum !! i thought it would make more sense if an active user from the actual wildfire threads was to be come a moderator, now i mean no disrespect but ive not seen you around here ( wildfire ) before ? im in no way saying your not active in other threads but i was under the impression that this was how xda moderators was chosen ?

Well moderators are not device specific.
Lets say there is a pool of moderators and when the need for moderation for a specific forum arises, then one of us take it.

This is not something a moderator does.
You have to contact the devs for them to renew their links.
Either post in their thread or message by pm.

well, but almost all of them don't care about that

They don't care because they've moved on, you have to remember that this phone is very old in phone years.
Oh and hello new mod, bout time we got one.
Note to self: must bite tongue harder when dealing with dimwits or face the prospect of being moderated!!

[INVITES] Invites for developers!

Hi people, i have 5 invites to share; my purpose is to help developers so i decide to donate all my sharable invites with them here!
If you are a developer and want to help us (common people ) to discover all the ends of this phone, let me know here or PM me..I will share with you!

I will be suprised much more developers will want/need invites. Most of them have invites thanks to another thread run for Members and Developers.

People can give away the invites anyway they want. If they don't like the available threads, there shouldn't be a problem with them opening up one that suits their purposes. But no selling or trading invites please...that's just wrong

Ok, then there should be a new section just for invite threads like there is at the Oneplus forum. These threads shouldn't be here in General then.

Thanks for clarifying. Before, the mods were closing every invite thread except the stickied one and the XDA-Exclusive Invite List managed by timmaaa. I must say I prefer it that way. The General section is getting filled with random invite threads that if not closed, just cause more begging. It also makes having a stickied thread kinda pointless. Why not make a "give away your invite thread," sticky it and end the madness?

We'd better to keep this thread here. I would also put it as sticky so anyone will know that IM (groups) here are not welcome. THIS IS DEFINITELY A FORUM.

Unfortunately we can see developers doing this, I personally don't get the point of it...
One may call out someone in hangouts for some personal reason but advertising these chats like crazy sounds really childish

One thing is a single developer to help a few guys beta testing her ROM/app over IM.
Another one is a whole group of users creating a parallel "IM thread".
But now I am thinking about, let's have that happen. The group will grow and be cluttered with all that social nonsensical stuff.
The group will collapse in a week or two with no devs being reachable there any more...
