Help with phone update

Hello, I have a Rooted Sprint Epic 4G and recently have been recieving system update noticifactions, and i am new to rooting. i tryed accepting the update, but i dont think the update is taking affect....
Could someone tell me tell me how to unroot> update> re-root for the most current update.. thanks for any help!

Go to the sticky how to unbrick or bring back from the brink to odin back and the accept all ota and rooting el30 is the same as ei22... look for qbking77 video on youtube for rooting...

im currently rooted, how do i unroot 1st?

Have you tried downloading the update (from the links provided on this forum somewhere), putting it onto your SD card, booting to recovery, and applying the update? I did that and I was already rooted before hand (meaning I didn't have to unroot). Did you do any other changes to your OS aside from rooting, such as applying the GPS fix or any other kernels?

i looked... it looks like he has multiple unroot videos... which one do i use... sorry for seeming like a dumbass, im just new to this and dont want to mess up my phone

Do you get an option to do a factory reset as part of the update, or do you have to do it manually? If manually, it makes more sense to do it after the update than before, right?

Manually, and do it after, yes.

I just did the rootjunky method of flashing back to 100% stock and then took the OTA

Supposedly it's available for manual download as well

Recommendation for everyone, when you update to lollipop do a factory reset and everything will work even better, and obviously don't take the ota if you are rooted because you'll brick

I think you have to go through Motorola device manager. But just keep an eye on the blogs, it will be uploaded soon enough I'm sure

Smaller in size, it seems smoother and faster, There are no themes. Going to try to Root and mod.

Maybe it's easier to make porting from S6 on 5.1.1

Think it's an late April Fools joke. 5.1.1 comes out for Noted Edge and no reviews, thoughts, youtube videos or anything

note edge 5.1 is real i flashed it
flashed the root package with recovery from previous and seemed to work for me
tried to flash emo kernal all bad need boot and aboot images from new N915PVPU4COFE build

I cant update mine for now cause i dont want to lose my root, thats why i asked

If you are rooted, you can copy the downloaded file and post it here. Usually it is located in "/data/data/com.motorola.ccc.ota/app_download" and the name starts with "Blur_Version...."
Then un-root and update if you want. Or not...

What's the size of the update? And and and could you like translate the image

The only diferent thing from all the "regular" text is that it says that its a security update.
Its like 43 mb

Unfortunately, SuperSU does not work on 7.0 YET. I recommend you use Magisk root method that you can fond somewhere on XDA. And, given that you rooted, I imagine that you have a custom recovery. You will need to flash your stock recovery before you update in order for the OTA to be successful.

Interestingly, the build is NPJS 25.93-14.4 - perhaps the S means it's a security patch (which would make sense given the update notes)?
As for rooting with SuperSU, the existing method with ElementalX/SuperSU may still work, but until more people have the update and tested it, we can't say. That particular update is not here in the UK, so it could be territory specific or taking time to deploy.

Ill try over the weekend if nobody does it before so
