[Q][i9505][Official Firmware] - United Kingdom (BTU)

Hi everyone,
first of all i hope it`s not a double thread, I could not find any BTU discussion of 4.3.
I`m getting really lost in this OTA / Kies compatibility over here..
My S4 was rooted now I`m trying to restore it to official state to make it OTA update compatible again.
The phone was bought in UK, GSM phone.
There was a matching firmware, which should be compatible for updates here, but i keep getting the same "Your firmware is not supported..." error message again and again.
Details:
AP: I9505XXUEMJ7
CP: I9505XXUEMJ7
CSC: I9505BTUEMJ8
Current binary: Samsung Official
System status: Official
Later on 2nd try:
AP: I9505XXUEMJ7
CP: I9505XXUEMJ8
CSC: I9505BTUEMJ8
Current binary: Samsung Official
System status: Official
So far after trying to help my problem with Google all I got, that I9505XXUEMJ7+I9505XXUEMJ7+I9505BTUEMJ8 is the latest official state and BTU is for the UK.
If someone could explain what is wrong here, I would be very happy.
Thanks.
Thread says the same, that I`m using the correct version
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265477
Is my question so stupid or is it an unique problem that I have so no one will reply?
Maybe I'm missing something here but have you reverted to stock, stock recovery and Triangle Away first. You cannot receive OTA updates or Kies if your device is rooted or has a custom recovery etc...
Yes, Triangle away done, stock rom, stock recovery.
Cool, is BTU the correct firmware for you? Are you on a different carrier there? Can you flash the stock ROM you want through ODIN? (gotta run for lunch but I'm sure someone better than I will help)
restock
put phone into download mode
open kies select firmware upgrade initialisation
enter model number and serial number in capitals
make sure both are correct you can find it on the box or under the battery.
Thanks everyone, I`m gonna do it all over again this evening. BTU is correct for me, its unbranded gsm unlocked phone from UK.
Edit: Boring day in job here.. redone the whole thing and it works now.
Thank you everyone, again.

Try using Kies PC software to update. It will let you know if your phone has been modified and refuse to update

It came from germany so feel free to download the file from here ,But the best thing you can do is flash a pre-rooted 4.2.2 rom man then flash any 4.3 custom rom you like just to avoid that Knox Warranty Void , so incase you got a problem later you can just go back to 4.2.2 but this is up to you.

1. You will have to root the device again when you flash android Lollipop.
2. Lollipop update will be out when will be out.
3. I recommend you update your firmware for fix old problems: HERE. Remember make a backup of all your internal data before use ODIN. You can root it again later if you wish. Dial *#1234# when finish the botting process and have to appear this:
AP: N9005XXUGNG1
CP: N9005XXUGNG1
CSC: N9005OXAGNG1

hi thanks for the reply . i updated the firmware as you mentioned to match the CSC ..but then it downloaded some update and and its back to the previous CSC. plus the brief time the CSC matched there was no LTE option .
so What should i do . Do i update thee firmware again and dont install the OTA update.
or do i root it and get the LTE option .
i am currently in pakistan if that makes a difference.

[Q] What version of Android 4.4 corresponds to my Android 4.3?

Hello, I have an S3 Neo (I9300I) with Android 4.3 and I would like to upgrade to 4.4 so I can start installing other roms. The question I have is what 4.4 version corresponds to my 4.3 version?
AP: i9300ixxuand1
CP: i9300ixxuand1
CSC: i9300iojvand1
I don't wanna have any conflicts with my phone not detecting my phone operator.
Thanks.
Okay I started reasearching:
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s--neo/GT-I9300I/MID/
I took the AP and searched for it on Google. The Iraq MID has the same jellybean AP Version.
But I don't know what the CSC is for (still noob).
I any case make a backup with TWRP.
You can literally install any official firmware and it'll work. The only problem you might get is a non-working camera. If such happens, check this thread made by me. Step 5 is the one you wanna look for in this situation xP
Have fun flashing and welcome to the world of Android customization!!
He told you everything.
