Yes, I have noticed the same. The Facebook app has been pretty unstable in Lollipop.
I have had a similar experience, I think with usage it improves, Android adapts and optimises RAM and processes, mine seemed to run better after using my tablet for longer, it might still have issue but I'm sure future updates will help

hi i previously had a sony xperia s and when i rooted it and everytime i powered it on i used to say android is upgrading and would scan through my apps and this also happens to my mums galaxy s2. so i wanted to know that when rooting the nexus 4 does that happen as well and if it does how do you remove it.
thanks
It sounds like your dalvik cache was being wiped at boot and thus had to be rebuilt every time. Were you using V6 supercharger?

No, it shouldn't. Rooted mine a few days ago and I believe the updating thing only happened on the first reboot. Haven't seen it since. It will show up each time you flash a new ROM and then after installing a new app and rebooting. At least my Galaxy Exhibit always did.
android is upgrading is your dalvik getting rebuilt. you either have a mod that is doing this or you are using a root app that has wiping the dalvik as a feature thats enabled. since it happens on your sony too, im willing to bet its the same app that you are using on both devices.
Simms is right (when isn't he ). There is probably a root app building your dalvik cache on reboot. It's been happening to me too. I Googled a little and found out TiBU was causing it. I uninstalled it and reinstalled and everything is fine now.
Thanks

Hello
I have some problems in nexus 4. I'm want to know this normal problems or not
1. Some times when I click on power button screen take 2 second to open
2. Some times phone is very slow animation in browse apps and browse widgets this must be turn off phone and open to back to normal use on this case no many apps open ram in normal use
This normal problems?

any answers ?
does not sound normal... I'm running modded stock 422 with faux kernal , screen turns on instantly, no lag with apps....
This should definitely not be happening.
Can you give us more details? What version ROM are you running? Have you done any modification to the device?

you should do a factory reset back to a clean phone , see if problems go away , then added your apps 1 at a time to see if a app is causing this.
in settings backup and reset i would uncheck automatic restore so it doesn't load all the apps you had downloaded to your phone prior to wipe
or you could use mskips tool kit to reflash stock rom , the tool kit can root, unlock, add custom recovery, reflash to stock to rma, it does a lot and is super easy to use...
wug's tool kit does the same things also, with a nicer looking interface
I recently force installed the new 4.3 update on my Nexus 7 (2012) and i'm starting to see problems that did not occur in the 4.2 version that are occurring in the update. When i play games with it, in the middle of game play, the app crashes a lot and i have to relaunch in order to play, other problems are in my "emulators" my Tiger Arcade emulator stopped supporting some roms and even crashes when some are played, the majority of the roms are fully functional in the 4.2 android update, but now the 4.3 update crashes the emulator, i've only gotten Metal Slug 4 to work along with the neogeo bios file (MAME). Street Fighter 3rd Strike also doesn't work anymore. Any one else having the same problem with their Tiger Arcade?
Is there anything i can do to fix this issue or do i have to wait until the developers of Tiger Arcade fix this Android 4.3 issue?
If there is no way, is it possible i downgrade my Nexus 7 to 4.2 again?
I have no idea on how to fix your problems in games and emulator, but I do know that you can downgrade using the proper images from here https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images

Without any intentions of hijacking this thread, I have a small question.
People who have updated to 4.3, are you guys able to run VPN apps like Hotspot Shield, Hide Ninja etc to work properly? Or even connect at all. ?
I am not being Able to do so and another friend of mine who has unrooted completely stock nexus 7 @ 4.3 ... also reports the same thing.
-------
Another thing, I thought Google has changed the Boot Animation in 4.3.
But why am I still on old (X) animation ?

These are the factory images from Google, so these will return your tablet to how it was when you booted it after installing 4.2.2. You can choose not to wipe the data partition which contains all your data, but this may result into problems when booting. You may want to check out this thread for more info.

Change Selinux back to permissive
My setup was the Sprint Galaxy S4 SPH - L720 running Jellybean 4.3 NAE firmware. Long story short, I soft bricked my phone trying to upgrade to a Negaman's Rom & Kernal. Found the stock NAE firmware and flashed through Odin to get back running. Since i had already been rooted unbeknownst to me there was a new upgrade out. Now I'm running running Kitkat 4.4.2 NG2 firmware. I used to be able to use terminal and l the
pm disable com.sec.knox.seandroid
Commands to enable permission for use with my Pioneer Appradio 3.
But now SeLinux says enforcing and commands don't work. So that's my fault for not checking first. Now my question is, is can I roll back to Jellybean 4.3 or is there a Rom and/or Kernal that will change SeLinux from enforcing to permissive for the Sprint variant of the Galaxy S4 Sph-L720. I don't need a bunch of features, I just need to get back to permissive. I've seen similar for other GS4 variants, the GS5, & even the Note 3, just nothing for Sprint. Has development ceased for the Sprint GS4? Is all hope lost? Any suggestions or forum suggestions?

One problem I'm having, not sure if it's just me but the Pen window manager doesn't keep changes after a reboot. It's given superuser permissions.

I had this Rom v4 installed for 3 days now. It runs smooth and fast. But at times the whole phone freezes up when I run certain applications like chrome, Firefox,or Facebook. I reboot it then happens again in 5 mins. I tired clearing the cache that didn't work really do much. I tried to uninstall the apps and reinstall them. Does anyone have an idea what would do that?

My phone came with NG2. I figured it out a couple days ago. I just wiped my whole phone again did that for 5 times and flashed the Rom. My phone works perfect.
