SetCPU won't start on boot

Ok this is driving me crazy, I've tried reinstalling/clearing data but nothing is working. And yes I have 'set on boot' checked.
Has anyone had this issue or have an email to the dev?
Had the same issue, if you don't have profiles enabled you will not have an icon in the tray. Also, with my case, for some reason the setcpu task was disabled using my AUTOSTARTS app. I would check either of those first.
You said you cleared data, was that through recovery menu or the "manage applications" entry for setcpu? Try clearing CACHE, DALVIK and the manage applications data clear...
I have noticed that if you have the widget in use it will do this, and you have to click on it for it to set. I removed the widget and it seems to be fine now.
I have never used the widget, I do have profiles enabled, it is not disabled in autostarts, and I have tried both wiping cache/dalvic from recovery and wiping app cache in settings.
Not sure what else to try.

[Q] Reset Data for an app

I can't figure out how to reset an app's data on the nook touch. On a standard android device, going to Manage Applications and selecting any app gives you the optiosn for clearing defaults, cache, and clearing data. Clearing the data is essentially the same as uninstalling the app and reinstalling it fresh.
On the nook simple touch, there is no option for clearing the app data. When you go to the app, there are options for uninstalling, clearing cache, clearing defaults, and force stopping, but it is as though B&N specifically removed the ability to clear out the data.
Does anyone know of a way to clear out the data manually? It would be nice to be able to do it on the nook itself, but I'm fine with adb.
In the end, I could always uninstall and reinstall, but that is a hassle, and I would have to back up the apk beforehand or re-download it.
You need NookColorTools for that.
I might be wrong tho as I don't currently have it installed
I do have the NookColorTools app installed. That's how I got to the manage applications menu in the first place. But the particular option for resetting the data is missing. Other than that, the screen looks exactly the same as a standard android screen for managing an app.
Could it be missing because nook touch is running android 2.1 and that feature was added on 2.2? I only have 2.2 and 2.3 with which to compare.
Ah oh well, I take that back then
The app data can be found in /data/data so you can accomplish what you want quite easily with adb.
Thanks, I figured it had to be something simple like a directory or a file.
I could probably clear out the directory using es file explorer; no need to involve the desktop.

[Q] Is it possible to add/remove certain widgets from the list?

Hi all,
I am wondering if there is a way to add/remove widgets from the list? I have downloaded a few widgets from the market but they are not showing up on my widgets list when I long-press the desktop and select widgets. There are a few misc. widgets that came with the cyanogen ROM like, Home Screen Tips Playstore and Torch.
I downloaded Barnacle Wifi Widget - $1.99 from the market but it is not showing up under widgets list or apps.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks
BUMP. Anyone have any ideas about this? Or perhaps a work-around method?
Resolved my own issue...No replies, no links, no help. What's the point of a forum?
Anyways, the widgets were not showing in the list because I moved them to the SD card (google search "problem loading widget reboot").
FIX: I used TitaniumBackup to move to the apps back to internal storage (this alone will fix the issue) and rebooted the phone into recovery, wiped dalvik cache, wipe cache, fix permissions, and rebooted.
You could've gone to Settings>Applications>SD card and moved them over to the internal memory.

[Q] No connection with Google Apps. Internet works

Hi guys,
I'm having a problem with my Defy, I can't seem to connect any of the google apps. This was working fine and suddenly stopped working.
Can't login to Gtalk, can connect to Play Store or Gmail.
What I've tried:
-Wipe Cache
-Wipe Dalvik's Cache
-Re-Set Date/Time
-Uncheck / Check Background Data under Account's and Sync
-Toggling on/off Airplane Mode
-Rebooting
-Setting IP to static
I'm Using the latest stable versiĆ³n of CM 7.2, with default kernel and settings.
Also, internet seems to work fine, it's just the google apps. (Maps does work)
Any ideas on what can be causing this ?? I really do not want to do a factory reset / wipe data. =(
EDIT: Also my wifi icon is grayed and not green.
EDIT 2: Ok, I've managed to fix it. Did a complete data wipe and re-flashed CM7.2 Now everything is working again. Thanks everyone. =)

How to clear dalvik cache without recovery

Open root explorer. Go to /data/dalvik cache. Select all files in the folder and delete them. Reboot immediately. Stuff will get very unstable till you do.
This will re optimize the system after all the changes you have been making.

Similar to this, is thr a way to clear cache partition without recovery mode?
What is the purpose of doing this? Will this clear my settings or default programs?
Adversely, I have one default program I would like to clear but it does not show up on the default app list... can I clear this one manually? Namely I want to switch back to using Svoice vs Google Voice and no matter what i do I can switch it back. Turning on Svoice under settings does nothing.
Thanks for the great info
Thanks for the helpful tidbit.
question here
if i clear my dalvik cache( with not the intentions to install new rom...just cleaning junks) will my personal data be saved?
why just don't use one of app : https://play.google.com/store/searc...sp=CAFiDQoLY2xlYXIgY2FjaGV6AhgAigECCAE=&hl=en
So cache partition stores all these settings which can be deleted from settings->apps? or it's maybe something like temp in Windows?
Whether will be deleted apps settings after wiping cache partition?
edit. I found.
None settings deleted. It just support's faster lauching of most used apps. After wiping, few lauching of the app restores previous condition of executing. May fix errors during opening some app, due to some overloads of this memory.
Because dalvik cache stores fragments of compiled code of an installed apps, and can be just deleted for restore some performance of system (it is restored after reboot).
Especially these wiping these two - dalvik and partition cache, is sometimes practised after installing lots of apps, to improve performance, maybe some errors.
Correct me if something's wrong.
