And how exactly did the examiner get that a tweet from Samsung UK would have anything to do with T-Mobile US? They based their article on incomplete information and conjecture.

Others are reporting that samsung started the role out today in the UK and we all should have it by the end of the month.

That's not what that article says at all! Unless by "we" you mean you are in the UK and you are talking to all of the UK users here, which are none, because we are in a US phone forum.
It's Samsung UK tweeting that it's started rolling out today and all Samsung UK handsets should have it by the end of the month.
Haven't we been through this like 10 times already?!

I am downloading JB for UK now ota.

This is surely the real deal now. Also out for Southeast Asia and India. Please post a screenshot of About screen on settings and the version by dialing *#1234#, I'll tweet it to SamMobile so they can pull the full firmware packages.

Plug into Kies, It recognises the Update straight away and downloads!

Good it's finally out, though a shame we don't have 4.1.2 yet.
I guess there's no reason really to switch back from my german variant of the same build just yet.
I'm liking 4.1.1 JB in general though do not like the changes to s-note in terms of no auto-hide toolbar, and keep accidentally finger zooming when using the stylus. Think I may just move to lecture notes. I do like the auto sync with samsung account for s-note though.

yes its out but the sad part is its 4.1.1 also since the UK and Nordic version are mostly same this should be the same update most of europe would get

According to a Sony Representative, he said that our phone [ Xperia SP ] won't be receiving the much awaited "KitKat" Update

This is one of the reasons why I am getting the Z1c I mean Sony always forgets the Non-Flagship phones

Already posted and you have to believe that we can't trust these man. I remember one of them said that we will have Xperia Windows Phone almost year ago and till now, SONY still don't use Windows Phone OS.

That was weeks ago. It's still listed under investigation, so honestly, I wouldn't put too much weight on this post. That was almost 2 months ago and no official word. Yes, that person later said that he/she got "confirmation", but from who? If it were true, the websites would be updated.
We'd all be best to stop speculation and rumors to wait until Sony's press officially says something through their proper channels, not an AMA on some random site.

Why do Samsung usually choose Poland?

I noticed a trend that Samsung keeps following in recent years.
Every time there is a major os upgrade, they first release it in Poland, while keep releasing updates for older version in all other markets.

Yes... I do agree with you... after some time other receive updated software and Poland also... it is the same for all other Samsung phones... why? Maybe they have SW department in Poland?

Because potato-based vodka is so good. It's like you're in the eye of a hurricane. It'll get you some drunk out of nowhere.
All due seriousness: Samsung's R&D team there also has "direct presence" with the major cellular provider there. The OTAs are more easily released. I'd also wager there is some regulatory stuff there to give it more incentive.

However, I must say that the Poland 6.0.1 firmware is pretty close to perfect. No problems here.

Why are we (UK) always the last to get anything... Anyway in the thread above... someone in Germany has reported the pop-up.. so hopefully this week or next for us in UK?

Yeah, it's a staged roll out. We'll get it when we get it. It'll be a half-arsed effort anyway. HTC doesn't really care about the Ultra.

I dont know why because a friend of mine works for CW and when the U Ultra came out, he was telling me that they sold 100s of them, its just because HTC messed up the launch and reviewers scr*wed it over, but IMO, as a phone its fantastic.. the speakers are a little richer on the U11, but much louder on the Ultra.. also, if you experiment in the camera, the images can be brilliant.. ..
Anyway, lets hope HTC dont make UK users wait too long

I am not saying the hardware is bad, I like the hardware mostly... The lack of a headphone jack is a pain, but I knew that going in. The problem is HTC, and their lack of after sales support. At this point, they should just give us treble, and get it over with, coz U Ultra won't see an update after Oreo the way HTC is treating it.

Available on my Amazon purchased unlocked UK handset.
