I dont know how but i removed the app menu option from the screen from my ga;axy y. I have installed the nexus Me v5 Rom in it. Can you please tell, how to get it back???
I know that factory restore is an option but i want to first look for any other option rather than reseting my phone
Long press on homescreen !!
All options will come!!
You will find that in one of those!!
I have just installed the official 4.3 ROM for my i9505 via Odin (I came from the google edition ASOP ROM) Two issues.
1. when on the lockscreen and I get a message/email etc. I can swipe the notification tray down, upon tapping the notification, it just goes back to the lock screen. Before the update it would unlock the phone and go to that application. I have no sort of security on the lockscreen. just normal swipe to unlock.
2. I keep getting messages about supersu etc trying to access the phone and being blocked. I am rooted and root access seems to work fie for apps requiring it. Is there any way to stop these?
Thanks

Is this normal behaviour for Samsungs 4.3 ROM? is it a bug, or supposed to be like that
Terribly sorry if this has been addressed before. Searched for the topic and didn't find anything.
My issue is as follows:
I rooted my phone today. That worked without a hitch.
I then installed an app called NoBloat.
After uninstalling some bloaty Bell apps, my home screen disappeared after some app crashes. the top notification bar flashes on and off, and even after factory reset, the result is the same. Would flashing the stock ROM fix this issue?
Yes. But I dont recommend u install this app NOBLOAT anymore. Is better take a look what u want delete: HERE
since all the other threads about this issue are unanswered I want to give it another shot.
my problem is that before I upgraded my GS4 to Android 4.4.2 KitKat I had the possibility to hide or unhide apps from the app drawer. But unfortunately Google removed this feature in 4.4.2 BUT the apps that I hided are still hidden but are installed and they all just work fine. But it is driving me insane not being able to put them back on the app drawer, as it seems to me that Google forgot to implement unhiding apps that were already hidden. Is there a solution to this strange issue?
thanks in advance. - f.
Easiest thing that pops to mind is a factory reset, but then not everyone wants to do that. Its best to do it anyway after a major upgrade like this.
Hi, this is my second ever post and before any says anything, I did search for a fix before and couldn't find anything. If anyone could be so kind as to lead me to one if there is, then I will gladly use that instead. Anyways, a few months ago, I rooted my Verizon Galaxy S5. That night, I foolishly updated my phone and it updated my kernel version. As far as I could tell, nothing major/awful happened to my phone other than that every time I booted up my phone, it annoyingly said "custom" under the android splash screen and that the download app, the one that is stock to an android phone and the one you use to access all of your downloads such as an apk or a pdf file that you downloaded from the internet, was missing from my app drawer. I still had the icon on my home screen because I was using nova launcher and that saved the icon but otherwise, it was like it never existed at all on my phone. I could access the app using the home screen icon but that was it. Today, I updated my phone using Odin and now, I have lollipop 5.0 and the annoying custom from the splash screen is gone but the downloads app is still missing. Can anyone help me? Should I just try downgrading back to 4.4.2? Edit, I imported the same back up that had the download app, is it called download manager now? If so, I still don't have it except on the system itself, no way to access it.
