Terribly sorry if this has been addressed before. Searched for the topic and didn't find anything.
My issue is as follows:
I rooted my phone today. That worked without a hitch.
I then installed an app called NoBloat.
After uninstalling some bloaty Bell apps, my home screen disappeared after some app crashes. the top notification bar flashes on and off, and even after factory reset, the result is the same. Would flashing the stock ROM fix this issue?
Yes. But I dont recommend u install this app NOBLOAT anymore. Is better take a look what u want delete: HERE

Every time I install a launcher, either ADW and launcher pro and restart, I get the Galaxy S logo, then an infinite black screen. The only way (I know of) to fix it is to do a factory reset, which obviously sucks. I have never gotten a launcher to work.
Anyone know what my problem is and how to fix it?
I have a US Cellular Mesmerize, rooted, clockwork mod, and the 1124_test_novoodoo kernel.
Thanks!
Update: I tried again to install Launcher Pro, but this time installed Home Switcher before shutting down. I set LP as my default launcher in Home Switcher, and launched it. It worked fine. However, after restarting the phone, I again have the black screen and lit up keys.
I had this happen the other night on my rooted superdark superfast fascinate. I just pulled the bat, held down both volume keys, held power until I saw samsung and let go of the power. then I loaded a backup and all was fine...
[SOLVED]
It's working now, I recovered again, restored with Titanium Backup, and tried again with Home Switcher, and this time it worked. Not sure what was up, but problem solved.
Same problem with additional wrinkle
I'm having the same problem, except that I haven't yet successfully got CWM to work on mine (so no ROM backup yet). Do you know of any way to fix this without restoring a backup first?
I500 Mesmerize
Rooted
OCLF v1+
Home Switcher
Launcher Pro
Visual Task Switcher
(Problem started after installing VTS)
All you have to do is hit search button on soft keys and find launcher pro or adw and open it and set it as default.

So I have an att galaxy s4 stock 4.4.2 rooted. I wanted to try something new and downloaded fontster to install some new fonts. When I tried to install some fonts fontster stopped working and crashed. Then I rebooted my phone to see if anything changed then nothing happened. I tried to go on chrome and it keeps making aw snap pages and anything on phone that connects to the internet now just crashes right away. Is there any fix? WHAT DO I DO?:crying:
I got my new S5 (SM-G900W8, Telus) and I rooted using Towel Root. I installed a bunch of root apps, including Titanium Backup. I then proceeded to remove apps (backing them up first). I removed TouchWiz (backing it up) and used Nova. A few days later, I decided to activate UPSM (Ultra Power Saving Mode), and found that my entire screen went black, I could only drop down the notification bar, I had no apps, no ability to deactivate it.
I googled and found no way to force UPSM to turn off. I tried charging to full, no. I eventually restarted, and my phone got stuck on the "Samsung" logo, in black and white. I everything I could think, and then just decided to factory reset. I re-installed all my apps, and stuff, and just remembered that I didn't backup Titanium Backup, so I couldn't re-install TouchWiz.
What do I do now? I'd like to use UPSM, but I would prefer to not soft-brick it, and have to factory reset it after everytime I use it. I know I'm n00b, and it was my first rooted phone, and I should have researched first, but oh well.
Is there anything I can do to get TouchWiz back without tripping the KNOX counter (i.e. reflashing my phone to get it back)?
Once rooted I don't think you can use UPSM. You could install a TouchWiz based ROM with safestrap and probably get similar functionality, but I don't believe ultra power saving mode is available after rooting.
Find a rom for your device and either flash that, take the apk out and put it in your system/priv-app, or find someone here to post it for you. It's called TouchWizHome.apk. Seeing as how you don't want to trip Knox you will need to put it back yourself using something like root explorer.
Actually. Look at this thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2732110. The second post has all the bloatware that was removed that I think you can add back.
Hi, this is my second ever post and before any says anything, I did search for a fix before and couldn't find anything. If anyone could be so kind as to lead me to one if there is, then I will gladly use that instead. Anyways, a few months ago, I rooted my Verizon Galaxy S5. That night, I foolishly updated my phone and it updated my kernel version. As far as I could tell, nothing major/awful happened to my phone other than that every time I booted up my phone, it annoyingly said "custom" under the android splash screen and that the download app, the one that is stock to an android phone and the one you use to access all of your downloads such as an apk or a pdf file that you downloaded from the internet, was missing from my app drawer. I still had the icon on my home screen because I was using nova launcher and that saved the icon but otherwise, it was like it never existed at all on my phone. I could access the app using the home screen icon but that was it. Today, I updated my phone using Odin and now, I have lollipop 5.0 and the annoying custom from the splash screen is gone but the downloads app is still missing. Can anyone help me? Should I just try downgrading back to 4.4.2? Edit, I imported the same back up that had the download app, is it called download manager now? If so, I still don't have it except on the system itself, no way to access it.
Hi
Since yesterday my WiFi has been turning on and off like crazy! I have no idea why, I haven't changed any settings nor updated any apps. I googled and checked all the settings, but everything is normal. No power saving, searching for optimal connection etc. is activated. I'm up2date on all apps. Tried to reboot, didn't help. I have no anti virus or any other performance optimizing app. I'm running tasker, but it only has one task where it enables screen rotation in some apps. Tried disabling that as well, didn't help.
I'm running Android 8.0.0 (V20g-EUR-XX) on the H870. I rooted my phone before, but I reverted back to stock Android with stock recovery. Only the bootloader is still unlocked, else it's a stock phone.
The newest app is YouTube Vance, but I don't think it has anything to do with it since I've had tht app for a while now and it was fine since yesterday.
Any ideas?
Edit: I just factory resettet the phone using the stock recovery and the issue is worse, now I can't even enable WiFI :/ I'll have to contact LG I suppose
