[Q] No Video Playback in DHD builds ?

Does anybody know a solution for video playback on desire hd and z builds not working....
- problem in streaming media like spb tv (just audio no video)
- problem in video section. video thumbnails are displayed correctly but when playing video same problem (just audio no video)
in video section it happens with avi files encoded in divx i think. but not for all... sometimes i got videoplayback on certen avi files

does it play avi natively? i tought you needed rock player or similar to play avi files

yes it does

Could be a codec issue, remember avi is a container and could contain one of several video formats, although they usually do tend to be mpeg4 divx. Check the video properties in vlc player or similar and check the codec info

I have the same exact problem on Qaliza Desire HD NAND ROM.... any remedy for this?

Found this file on the forum, tested it on my device, so far so good.

Should work on any DHD ROM.
Flash through CWM, but highly recommended to do a backup through CWM first (better safe than sorry).

[Q] Stock Players

Hi, can the stock music player play flac files? I kept obtaining the "unsupported file type" in my I5801, even though flac support was in the specs.
Also, are srt files supported in the stock video player?

Is anyone able to play flac files in the stock music player? I know that you can do that in SGS. According to the GSMarena specs for the phone, it should be able to play flac using the stock player but I was unable to do so. Could this be a rom problem?

[Q] Problems after NAND flash

I decided to try some NAND builds but didn't like them because .flac music files could no longer be played and most video files too, or the subtitles would not show, so i reverted back to FroyoStone Sense - V3.2. Now the problem is that now these same problems are still there. I used mixzing to play my flac files, now it isn't registering them as music files at all. As for the video i used combination of rock player and vplayer. On both a lot of videos wont play at all, or if they do the picture is choppy and they lag a lot. Also it used to be possible to play video files with hardware mode on rock player now it isn't. If anyone has any ideas as to what may be causing these problems i would appreciate it.

[Q] Problem with open video files

Hi guys
I've installed PureGingerbread gpc_hd2_gingerbread_v1.7 on my HD2.
Everything works quite good, but i can't open any video files.
I've tried .xvid and .mkv with built in player and mVideoPlayer.
Can you help me ? Is that ROM broken or I should install some codecs ?

Ok, I've got something !
I can play movies when I disable Hardware Decoding support in Rock Player.
What can be wrong in system ? Why hardware acceleration doesn't work ?

Same here. Using VLC player as of now. But would like to see it work with stock
