Hi guys and gals,
I have the check box checked in the settings menu but the pedometer does not appear on my lockscreen. Any ideas?
Thanks

Are you using the pedometer of your Gear or Note 4?
When you use the Gear, it's NOT visible; when you use the Note 4 pedometer, it's visible!
Had the same issue. Bummer you can't see the pedometer from the Gear.

Ah that must be it. I do have the gear fit as well. Thanks for the clarification.

Hi folks,
My wife and I both have N4s. Mine doesn't do this but whenever my wife unlocks or locks her phone the camera clicks. We both had NSs before our N4s and her NS did the same; mine did not.
I can only put this down to a carried over setting or an app that is causing this but I can't find which one. Before I wipe her N4 back to factory settings can anyone tell me how to trace the culprit?
I have been through all her apps to find those that combine permissions for " Run at startup" with "Can take photos and videos" and have uninstalled those that do but after rebooting the camera is still clicking.
Any help would be gratefully received.
Thanks in advance.

Its not the camera clicking. I'm guessing she has her sound on and what she is hearing is the unlock and lock screen sound. You can turn this setting off and on under Settings>Sounds>Screen lock sound
Hope that helps! Don't wipe her phone cause it will not fix the problem

Sounds like this to me too!
Ah. Just tried this setting on my N4 and that's the cure.
Now I feel a bit silly asking that question.
Thanks guys!

Hi I am very confused.
I bought 2 different cases for my girls friends Galaxy S4. One is working but does not have the S-window. The other has S-window but does not have sleep and wake function.
My questions is: How does the sleep and wake function been activated on the phone? Is it similar to an iPad where there must be a little magnet on the case to activate the function or is it purely activated by sensors on the Galaxy S4? Or other ways? I noticed the S4 has plenty of new features that uses its internal sensor so I am thinking maybe the sleep and wake function was implemented automatically as long as you get a flip cover case.
Anyone know?

Yes sview is activated by magnet. The sensor is close to the volume down button but more at the back of phone than the side.
You need a reasonably strong magnet, I found that a fridge magnet wasn't strong enough. Need stronger one.
P.s. The title of thread isn't quite right should be more like "how is S-view activated"

HI Guys,
just a short question, i have my S5 placed in a Case wich covers the display completly if closed.
As i know from my new galaxy tab pro and a note 2, normaly if you close the lid the phone locks and turns of the display.
Now this isnt working on my S5. I've checked light and proximity sensor with the Service menu (*#0*#)
Seems to work.
Didn't find anything in the menu?
Am i blind ? or is this feature really missing? Or is something wrong with my phone?
regards
Steven
This requires a magnet.. Maybe the case does not have a magnet. Or is improperly placed for the s5..

I have Movistar Spain G6 since 3 days ago, today I have realized that the screen does not shut down when you connect to the my car handsfree, also when you turn off the car the display stays on, solutions are or restart the phone or remove screen locking and unlocking by footprint.Any solution?.

Could be a problem of Movistar Spain rom?
I had this issue this morning when driving to work. I use the State Farm Auto Insurance Drive and Save mobile app. The app pairs with a blue tooth beacon in my car and records my driving habits. This morning the screen would not turn off after the notification that a trip has started appeared on the lock screen.
Yesterday I updated the app via Google Play.
I'm an going to blame the app, not the phone, for this since the previous version on the app did not do this.
To work around this, I silenced notifications on the lock screen for this app.

I've already discovered the problem, the problem is the permission of access to messages that leave you the screen to appear on the lock screen, solution is to answer that permission, but when connected to the USB port to start Android Auto message reappears.
I had a Samsung Galaxy S7 and happen this turned off the screen.
Since I connected my s7 edge to my gear s the screen does not wake up when I get an email/text/outlook ect it only alerts on my gear s.
I looked in that forum nothing, I believe it is a setting for my phone and not a issue with the watch. Any help would be appreciated!
Both the phone and watch are stock non-rooted
