Where does your Note 4 Made in? - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Mine says it's Made in Vietnam . Not in Korea? Why? I got the T-Mobile Version of Note 4

Are you serious with this thread? Wtf is wrong with you man? WHO CARES

Actually it would be interesting to see if the screen gaps people report whether there is a manufacturing facility causing that issue

Thread kinda makes sense but in the wrong way, mine made in Vietnam no gaps at all, last year when I had the Note 3 similar kind of thread was made for display issue and the end conclusion was note 3's made in Korea had no display issues while the Vietnam's one did, I personally had the issue it was some yellow hue thing on my vietnam made note 3 but I also got 3 more imported note 3 from Korea they were all perfect while all my friends note 3 made in Vietnam had same yellow hue issue, so maybe this thread makes sense in terms of manufacturing process as stated in above comment.

Made in Korea.

Exynos N910C - Black - Made in Korea.

My battery says made in korea, assembled in Vietnan, so what is the point ??

Mine says made in China.

Made in Vietnam, no gaps.

Made in Korea

How to know guy?

Mine is N910F and made in Vietnam. No gap.

Manufacturing defects on the first batches ??

After talking to many people , most of them have asked not to buy the first ones as they might have defects , am wanting response from the people who have bought it already , like last year one s suffered housing colour coming off , one x had WiFi problem, I don't want if there are any problems in the one ! I am selling my two HTC one s for this incredible one . Thank you for responses !

Just buy it in April, you should be fine. And if you are not satisfied you can return it and buy another one anyway.

Mine is ok too but there where/are some with gaps around the edges of the phone where the aluminium bonds with the plastic.

Definitely remember seeing a picture of a guys phone where it had a gap in the bonding process on the left hand side of the phone and anyway by the time they ship all the little issues should be ironed out.
Buy in April if you are worried about defects.
Defects are most likely to be found in first batch, no matter which smartphone you go for this includes Samsung and iPhones this is certainly my experience anyway.
Like someone said earlier if its defective simply get replacement.
I got mine on the 18th March and I can't fault it.
We had a thread where the advice was to worry about the later batches because the shortage would make them rush the manufacturing thus causing many defects in the construction. There also have been many concerns about the first batch citing poor build quality.
I haven't actually seen one in person yet but I've watched all the videos and read all the reviews. This phone is praised as being the best built mobile phone ever made. The design and construction, the machining of the aluminum body for example, are on a level I've never seen in a consumer product like this. The general impression of reviewers when they first get their hands on it is awe at how incredible it is.
Accept perfection for what it is, almost perfect.
Just my take on all the fretting...

This won't affect later batches as the shortage is due to the lack of camera components.
If you want to build 10 phones yet you only have 5 cameras to include on the phones why would you rush building all 10 then? Shouldn't you be focusing on the manufacturing instead while still waiting for the other 5 so the processing would still be in sync? Unless of course you wanna see your employees slacking/nothing to do because you rushed up finishing the 5 phones yet the other 5 cannot be made yet due to lacking of parts.

[DISCUSSION] Blasting Galaxy S III 's

Well, from past 3 months this is the third case I have heard of a Samsung Galaxy S III blasting. Whether the users were sleeping, charging of just keeping the phone in their pockets.
Two of them were news all over the internet.
A Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone combusts out of the blue and burns off while owner is asleep
Samsung Galaxy S III explodes, injures 18 year old girl
I just created this thread so that users can discuss about this, the risks, and anyone who is an expert can give us DOs and DON'Ts for NOT getting our Samsung Galaxy S III blasted. And what steps might Samsung take to get rid of these explosions in the future.
3 out of xxx million suggests not much so far .
But SDS started with just a few posters saying phone on charge all night and its now dead .

How do you know if you have a fake S7 Edge, or if it is real??? My new G935f...

i received my s7 edge today, and found some things that are worrying me. first, the writing on the bottom of the back of the phone is barely noticeable, and definitely not readable. second, it states on the box, that it was made in vietnam. i haven't read anywhere of samsung having phone fabricated in vietnam.
on the other hand, everything works perfectly. i downloaded aida64, and it has the sony sensor on the back camera. it is listed as a 935f, and not some other wierd letter. the everything i have tested has worked flawlessly. but i can't get over worrying that the other shoe will fall after it's too late to return.
so i need for those who have a g935f, to let me know if you can easily read the writing at the bottom of the back cover, and if you have one that was fabricated in vietnam, i'd like to know if you have had any problems with it at all. thanks!!!
You can tell if it's fake, Samsung's are made in Korea and Vietnam the small text on the back is hard for anyone to read

The screen is made of cheap glass material.
this is the one thing i can't tell. it's shiny and beautiful, but i'm not sure of the glass quality.
2
The screen is too far from the edge.
(Cloned phones have a wide gap between the edge of the screen and the edge of the phone).
no, no gaps.
3
The screen is not as bright and vibrant as the original device's.
the screen is very bright and beautiful.
4
Some of the sensors are not available.
can't find one of the sensors which isn't working.
5
The Home button is not located in the exact same spot as the one on the genuine item.
the home button seems correctly located
6
The Samsung logos are not smoothed out and can be felt; rubbing it will also remove the logo.
no, they are smooth and under the glass.
7
The device's proportions different than that of the genuine product.
seems like the same dimensions, as it fits properly into my cases.
8
Gaps between parts like the home, power, and volume buttons are obvious.
no gaps at any of these buttons.
9
When the battery cover is opened, some of the small components do not match with the original ones.
Was this step helpful? Yes | No | I need help
can't take the battery cover off the s7 edge.
10
The phone does not have a seal from the National Communications Agency or an equivalent agency in your country.
this is the other thing. i can NOT find this seal. the text on the back is not readable.
11
The battery specifications are not the same.
battery is 3600mAH

of course with samsung everything that seems like it would be that easy, never is. samsung america will NOT comment whatsoever on the g935f, because it is not an american device. they act like they are completely handicapped if you ask them about anything that is NOT carrier specific. It, of course, was the first thing i did. then i tried to call the uk customer support, but the time difference kept screwing that up. and on top of all that, i had to make a decision today, or get stuck. so that is why i was buggin.
however, tonight i drove across town to the bestbuy, and held a few of theirs in my hands while the guys were busy with other customers, and that made me feel a lot better, as several of those also had writing that was hard to see. only on the edge, not the reg s7, which was very clear. then i had the samsung rep look it over, check all the coding and he said it was legit. so i am done. i will keep it, and feel great about it. all day it has performed very well, and all sensors work perfectly. i've done motion sensors, bluetooth, cameras, wifi, etc... it all checked out. so thank you for anyone who commented to this thread. i appreciate the efforts. cheers!

So the writing on the back is blacked out because of the change from the fCC that doesn't mandate the imei and other info be displayed. So since the phone is blacked out they made it dark so you can see if you look closely but not if you are far away. Phone is made in multiple locations, and honestly only way to be 100% sure is to check hardware which you did. That can't be spoofed easily and takes work. Also, if it's real you should be able to register it on Samsung's website. If you can register it. Chances are your are good.

Damn...this will really suck. I'm pretty sure the turnaround time to get a new Note 7 will be bad. I use my spen a lot and I created a bunch of notes with he new Samsung Notes app which isn't backwards compatible with any of the other note phones.

That is not normal. My note 7 is perfectly cool (battery temperature below 90 F) while charging overnight.
All of the major news outlets are picking up on the recall: http://money.cnn.com/2016/09/02/technology/samsung-galaxy-note-7-recall/
Has anyone asked or heard anything from Sprint? I'm guessing we won't hear anything until all of the details are worked out. I've kept an eye on my phone and no overheating thus far...
According to a different article that I read as of yesterday (9/1) 35 devices out of the 2.5 million or so sold have experienced the issue. Percentage wise it's a very small risk. Just be careful and don't use cheap aftermarket chargers... (I know, I know, several were reported to use the Samsung charger).
Personally I wonder if it's a scaling problem (i.e. battery size) with their fast charge technology... This is the largest battery they are fast charging as far as I know. (I did NO research to verify any of this).

I've wondered the same thing. It's amazing (and nice) how fast these batteries charge, but I'd be okay if it was 25% to 50% slower. That would still be pretty quick.
Even better yet, use a battery that can handle the current fast charge rate.
My phone charges cool also but i don't wanna worry about future issues, the phone is fairly new

I love this phone. But how will samsung give us new phones? I called my local sprint store and they said don't bring it in? Are we supposed to be without a phone for some weeks or more? It is crazy, to think most of us just got this phone a few weeks ago.
