Please mention the ROM or modifications that you are using.

Thanks for the reply,
CM 11 is now installed, but the problem is the same of the stock rom 4.4.2 . In fact was born on the stock rom and I have tried to flash CM11 to solve the problem but I'm have not been successful. I'm afraid it's a hardware problem.

Most probably your battery has gone kaputt.
Get a new on/replace/borrow for a day and try if this happens again.
Edit: WAIT WHAT!! PHONE IN THE FREEZER? DUDE!!
Also
Use "kernel tuner *root*" from the playstore and underclock your CPU.
Check and Monitor the CPU and Battery temperatures too.

Thanks for help! Ok I will try. Yes in the freezer with the palstic bag, because it is only way to make works it for about 2 minuts. I have tried to start it with a stabilized power supply, without battery but to no avail.

Does it get hot right? That is where it snaps to avoid certain things.
Underclock your CPU using kernel tuner *root* and switch 2 cores off. (There are toggles in the app to switch cpus off)

Unfortunately the problem is not the battery and the smartphone will not start unless I put it in a cool place, and it works for 1 minute maximum 2. It is impossible to install anything. Do not even start the animation of the battery charge.

Hi everyone,
been a while since I last posted here.
but lets cut straight to the point in this thread (not being rude here, I hope).
I'm pretty sure most of you know of this issue and I have been going on around
the net looking for a solution. and have yet to find any reliable solutions to this issue.
so hopefully some kind souls here who knows of one can guide me..
I'm sure most of you know what issue I am having here but I guess it is better
I type it out here to avoid any miscommunication
I have a nexus 7 (rooted) and ever since I got the 4.2.2, my battery drain is insane.
about 62% drain in nine hours alone in IDLE mode.
I've tried most every suggestion in the net (turning off autosync, brightness control. blah blah blah)
but the issue persists.
so is there a real solution to this issue..?
thanks for reading in advance.. thanks..
Get BetterBatteryStats and check for unusual wakelocks etc.
Also try a different rom and kernel. I personally use Purity with M-Kernel a56 and I get about 7 to 7.5 hours of screen on time per charge.

though I rooted my nexus 7, i am an extreme noob in rooting processes.
but for now, I will try and get betterbatterystats and see what processes is eating up my batt in idle mode.
note :- even in idle mode, i do note that my nexus 7 is pretty warm and I suppose this is not suppose to
happen when the device is in idle (sleep) mode..
will post when I have betterbatterystats show me whats eating my batt soon

That sounds like it has something to do with the CPU control. Normally the CPU frequency varies between 513MHz and 1300MHz in addition to the amount of cores active (1 - 4) depending on activity. It could be that your CPU frequency and cores are unable to scale down when inactive. But luckily that can be fixed by adjusting the speed manually.

CPU control... hmm..
can BetterBatteryStats show whether it really is this CPU control being the culprit for the battery drain?

I would not know as I do not use BetterBatteryStats. But if I set my CPU to have all cores on at max frequency, the CPU would be at 60c and drain the battery fast.

but why would the CPU go all out in IDLE mode?
well, just installed betterbatterystats.. so Lets give it an hour or so of idle mode and see
what it reports. will post a screenshot of the report as soon as I have them..
afternote :- am I the only one to have this problem at 4.2.2 update for the Asus Nexus 7?
ok, got a screenshot..
in less than an hour, i lost 5% on the batt without even using the nexus 7 for anything.
and here is the screenshot for betterbatterystats..
note :- note sure this is what you guys wanna see so if you need me to SS something else from
betterbatterystats, let me know... really hope there is a solution to this batt drain problem. sigh.
Most likely there is an app running crazy and keeps running the CPU. Have a look at the battery usage statistics and there on the CPU usage times for the different apps. Here you should be able to individuate the 'crazy' app easily.

I recommend Wug's Nexus Root Toolkit as it is more user friendly then a command prompt. It explains to you the function of each option by hovering your mouse over it and when confirming an action.
thanks for the two links, guys..
but sad to say, I'm not sure what I did wrong.
I used the first link and tried to flash my nexus to 4.1.2
but something went wrong somewhere.
I follow the steps
but right now, everytime I start the nexus, it shows the google sign with the unlock keylock icon at the bottom
and shows a big arrow pointing to my power button.
inside the arrow is start (or by pressing the volume buttons) or restart bootloader or power off.
at the upper left corner, when I tried starting, that corner shows in slightly small letters, Booting Failed.
I hope I didnt brick my nexus.. it is barely half year old..

Seems like you deleted your ROM and Recovery. Normally it should go Start > Power Off > Recovery Mode > Restart Bootloader. Assuming your other settings have not changed such as Fastboot enabled, Unlocked and Verison 4.18, you can store restore the ROM then the Recovery.

hmm, i see.. ok, have to wait till after work and I'll try and rescue my bricked nexus 7
and Thanks for helping me out, Invalid. Really appreciate it lots.
Hey guys.
there are several major problems with my device.
first of all, lets see what we have here.
Exynos powered SM-N900 note 3 device
About 2 months old
rooted with CF- Auto Root
4.4.2 N900XXUDNA6_N900SERDNA6_SER firmware
that was the situation of device when the first problem showed itself.
Whiel i was watching video from an sd card, suddenly ı realised even if the device is on charge, (wall type) the battery percentage was dropping. when ı saw that, ı stopped watching the video, put down the phone and went to sleep. (it was 15 % at that time)
after 8 hours of proper sleep, I took my phone and saw that it was just 60%.
then ı began searching for slow charging issues. tried exactly everything about it, no luck. ( 5 different brands of different cables, 3 different brands of wall chargers, 2 different original note 3 batteries. tried both for AC and USB charging.)
All of them gave me the same result of charging current of 300 mah.
then ı tried all the wipe options, (wipe from recovery, factory reset from the settings menu, flashing another firmware which is CAC-N900XXUDNA8-20140210150816. ) still no luck. and things started to get worse.
a pain in the ass lag showed up, I'cant even use the camera. its like it comes and goes, but most of the time its there.
slow charging still continues, sometimes it does not charge at all,(had to reset couple of times) and when it charges, it's always 300 Mah and shows in the battery section as USB all the time ( even if I'm charging with the wall charger) ( already tried cache wipe for this, didn't make any difference.)
When I plug it to the PC, it does not recognize the device as a usb device, nor Kies, but ODİN does. (thankfully).
got this really weird screen, and some other screens close to it. (the screen actually faded away like in the picture ı uploaded. waited for it to go out for 10-15 seconds when ı pushed the wake button, the screen came itself just like nothing else happened 10 seconds ago!)
those are my problems, and the device is rooted, there is no warranty issue, so that means I'm stuck. it's not my first android device, and i consider myself just above average android user, but my hands are tied for this. any kind of help would be greatly appreciated!!
Really? No one can answer that?

Thanks for the reply.
Yeah I tried that. It kind of shortens the time of charging, but still, there are also other problems and some way ı think all of them are connected. That can be a solution only for slow charging, but the other issues still there.

I'm afraid that is also not a solution, because i already performed a full wipe and flashed a clean firmware, which cleared all 3rd party apps, still problems go on.
appreciate the effort though!

are you suggesting EFS back-up /restore?
By the way, i have fresh brand new issues!!
now device doesn't close, if i close it and connect it to a charger, it reboots itself to recovery mode!!!
ı discovered something about the lag issue. if i run the cpu enough, (like playing games) lag goes out. when ı quit the game, it turns back!!
I opened up cpu monitor from the developer options, everytime lag shows up, i see from the cpu list this thing:
irq/563-sii8240
I think this causes all of my problems.
any ideas???

Have you installed any apps to monitor battery drain? I use GSAM Battery Monitor and every time I start to see weird things with my battery, I have a look to see which app is running wild. Removing the app usually sets my phone back to very good battery life. The other day HD Widgets updated their app and all of a sudden I was dropping battery life about 15% per hour when hardly using the phone. HD was the culprit, removing it put me back to normal again. This happens often when companies update their apps.
One other thing, does you phone run hot? In the notification screen, you can see the current temp of your phone. If your battery is draining fast, it will run hot.
Thank you for the feedback. I downloaded the app, here are my first results. Do you think its normal that my kernel alone 74% ? I recently turned into cvm recovery, any ideas for alternative kernels?

Well I have charts like this. When I play game the and lock the screen I have to reboot by longpress the power button, bo cause phone does not respond. After reboot it shows low battery even if i play plugged in! It can also go to 0 and few minutes later it can bring back 15% which is enough for about 30 min of normal using. Any suggestions?

It's always good to check first with BetterBatteryStats for defects with apps and then search for hardware problems.
you can also try to reset battery stats. sometimes flashing roms can screw up battery stats. search in google play there is a ton of apps. if i remember correctly when i had a similar problem i used battery calibration.
I have a total headache due to an issue with my nexus 4. From time to time it started to shutdown randomly, but now when I turn on the phone the shutdown screen appears as soon as the phone asks me for the pin code. I have wiped all types of memory from the recovery, and I have installed different roms. The problem seems to be random, it can shutdown in a few minutes, in hours or in the pin code screen. Now my problem is that it always turn off in the pin code screen. I do not know what else to do, I am not sure if it is a software issue, a hardware issue or a combination of these two possible reasons. I would apreciate any type of help. Thanks!

Sounds like a battery issue to me. Luckily for you , it's cheap nowadays and easy enough to install. Now , you said you can boot the device. I want you to install 3c toolbox , give it root , open up battery manager and check the voltage of your battery. Leave maH retrieval method as automatic. Depending on the percentage , it should be between 3.4 and 4.2. If your battery is full it should be around 4.2. Watch for sudden drops in voltage , that might be the cause of your issue. If the voltage drops below 3.2 , it's dead. You gotta replace it.

Okay , have you ever opened the device ? If so the power button is quite fragile and has a tendency to break , i was wondering if that might have malfunctioned. That requires some advanced tinkering though. Or alternatively you could buy one and replace the original since it's very cheap. Otherwise i would have you solder a switch on the board.

Of course if microsd card speed is low then it effects the device and processor need to do hard work to run everything smooth and lot of data of apps and games saved in microsd card.

Overall note 4 always heat a lot because 2k 1440p scrern so don't worry
Try deep black wallpaper this will help save battery and gpu.
Try greenery to hibernate apps
Disable apps you don't use
Root device and Uninstall bloatware apps
Don't ever use junk or ram cleaner apps like clean master
OR even battery saver apps this apps murder the processor..
Don't kill apps by swiping them from recents that you use more often so processor don't need to run wake them again
More your processor sleep the device will run smoothly and no heating.

The center and right part of back start to heating after several minutes all of the phone gets hot.
Mostly chatting or web surfing and some times gaming but the problem is ,it gets hot even listening music or other light works.
that could be very bad.
that's where all the power management and usb related chips are located.
it might require a new motherboard.
I was kinda hoping you had the same problem as me, which is heating just below the camera which is caused by "wifi scanning" going haywire(Wi-Fi toggles blinking on/off while Wi-Fi is off)

Go to settings/battery/details and make all apps to always save power
This will help in marshmallow for doze mode and make apps deep sleep while not using device and not let them run in background..
