Screen shots using s-pen - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
i used to capture screen shots in note 2 and note 3 using the s-pen button then touching the screen
But in note 4 i must click it to open air view then choose screen writing
So is there any way to add this option again without air view ?
Thanks

When I pull out S pen screen write is an option or you can swipe your hand across the screen or press the button to Smart select

I mean to hold the pen button and touch the screen just like note 3

I'd like to know the answer as well. Don't like having to choose from screen write or palm swipe.

Q. Trouble about S Pen

Hi guys, im a new user of the Note 3. On the N2 I could use the S Pen button to go back by drawing a < on the screen, and others commands like that. In the N3 I can't find the option to do that. Any suggestion?
One workaround would be to press the back button with the S Pen. You can use the capacitive buttons with S Pen on Note 3 (no such feature on Note 2).

Click to collapse
Yeah, I was wondering that maybe that was the reason the function of drawing a back command was removed, and even in the official website they seem to omit the tutorial of the navigation with the S Pen that the N2 had. Thank you very much for your time.

Suggest me a screen capture app

I need a screen capture app that is very simple in that it should capture screen when app is run. Whenever I am doing stuffs in my phone, I quickly capture screen, doodle, crop and share. When I was in Note 3, I was using Air Command Shortcut and I was triggering this from Pie Control (translucent pie with customized links) and then clicking Screen Capture (of Air command), doodle, crop and share. I did all this without using S-Pen. Yes I can use S-Pen, or palm swipe or click Home+Power to capture but these are all cumbersome. Removing S-Pen every single time is tedious. Have to be very precise with palm swipe as page may slightly scroll before screen is captured. Home+Power if not clicked instantaneously ends up activating Home or Power button.
Until Air Command Shortcut gets compatible with Note 4, I want some screen capture app that I can trigger from Pie Control.

[Q] Any way to change the S Pen button from select to eraser?

On the Note 2, holding the S Pen button (in the SNote app) would function as an eraser (which was very helpful, especially when in full screen mode). For the Note 3, this has change to the select tool. Does anyone know how to change this back?
Thanks,
Jamie

Double tap to wake up feature on note 4??

Hi
Is there any way to get double tap to wake up feature on note 4??
Why would you want this feature when the Note 4 has a home button?
I would also prefer double tap to wake over pressing the home / power button.
Simply because when double tapping the screen you have your tumb on screen ready to go, unlike using the home button.
Added this feature to my M7 (which I was using before the Note 4) as this feature was not included by default: I had to flash a custom kernel, really loved it.
Using a flip screen at the moment on my Note now , so I have not bothered to get DT2W (as flipping open the case awakes the screen).
Kind regards, Stefan.

note 5 bare bone notepad for our devices.

hey,
I found this feature of taking notes on a black screen with the note 5 very attractive and someone wrote on gizmodo that it's already available for the note 4. can someone point me to it ?
Double Tap screen
Hi
The feature we have in the Note 4 is when you pull out the SPen double tap the Display with it while holding the SPen button, it goes straight into Action Memo.
Make sure you have Enabled it in the Lock Screen Settings, tick: 'Action memo on lock screen'.
