I'm currently running Dynamic Kat 4.0 (10/13/14 bulid) and am having an issue with setting the "Secured lock time". The lock screen is currently secured with the fingerprint reader and I have the secured lock time set to 3 minutes. However, after 15 seconds of inactivity, and turning on the phone, I have to reswipe my finger to again in order to unlock.
Is there another setting somewhere that determines how long before your finger needs to be swiped again to unlock? Ideally I'd like to set it to 5 minutes or so.

My Tab 4 is password-protected with a 30-minute delay. But when the tablet wakes, I'd like it to always go to the lock screen, in order to protect against waking accidentally if the tablet gets jostled in its carrier. The lock screen should just require a swipe, unless 30 minutes have elapsed since last use.
That's the way it works by default on my Android phone, but I can't find any setting to make my Tab 4 work that way. Instead, if it's been less than 30 minutes, the tablet wakes directly to the home screen, or whatever screen was last in use (after 30 minutes, I get the lock screen with password, which is appropriate).
Is there any way to get the desired lock-screen behavior on the Tab 4?
I just got my Galaxy S7 Edge from AT&T yesterday. After going through setting up the phone, I have been absolutely loving it so far. The only issue I've come across has to do with the secure lock settings. I setup my fingerprint and added my corporate email account which requires authentication to unlock the device (which is fine because I like using the fingerprint unlock anyway). In the secure lock settings, I have it set to lock instantly when power button pressed or when screen times out. After a few unlocks the phone will no longer require I use my fingerprint and just asks me to swipe to unlock. When I go back to the secure lock settings, lock instantly is no longer selected. Rather, the option for "maximum" (which is oddly set to 34 minutes and 7 seconds) is what is selected. I change it back to lock instantly, but then after a while it reverts back to the maximum setting.
After some web searching, there was someone else with this issue, but it turned out to be their Smart Lock settings. I double checked on my phone and all Smart Lock settings are disabled. For the life of me I cannot figure out why the secure lock setting keeps changing.
I used about 6 months the finger print lock but this period because of job full in water I changed to Pin lock. So the problem is that is not locked, I just swap the screen and it open..In settings I checked 5 seconds after to lock but..no pin. Either when I restart the phone, just swap. So I tried to change back to finger print but when I put pin it sas wrong..Im so confused, its like a pin lock bug..
I'm not sure I completely understand your question, but try making sure smart lock is turned off. Smart lock could be keeping your phone unlocked, therefore requiring only a swipe instead of a PIN.

Really liking the fingerprint scanner and it's position on the Mi A1 - much better than the one under the power button on my former Sony phone
That said, i'm wondering if there is a way to make it lock the phone as well as unlock - I like being able to use it as the swipe for notifications, but would be great to Unlock -> swipe (see notifications) -> hold for locking...
Thoughts!?
Did u even Google and try before asking? This was my first hit. https://android.gadgethacks.com/how...anner-do-almost-anything-with-tasker-0175015/
Thanks. So what happens when my banking app wants my fingerprint and I have that set up?
Should work, just don't press it to long. You should be able to set a custom delay before screen off.
So I can't make this work. Tasker seems to have two options System Lock or Lock. Lock is some kind of manual lock screen, so seems System Lock would be what I want.
However, System Lock seems to be a core level lock that then doesnt allow me to unlock with fingerprint, but needs the pattern...
Is there some other option I'm looking for here?
Screen off? Device should autolock itself seconds later.
Doesnt seem to be a screen off option, only change the display timout (min 7 seconds, so that wont work)
Is there a way to bypass the lock screen when using smart lock when trusted? What I want to do is double top on the AOD screen which then takes me directly to the home screen and NOT the lock screen where I have to swipe in again. Any ideas?
I have also been looking for a solution to this. While I have not been able to completely bypass the lock screen here is a workaround which minimizes when the lock screen appears.
Settings --> Lock screen --> Secure lock settings --> Lock automatically I increased the time from 5 seconds to 30 Minutes (which is the maximum value)
When away from my trusted places I use the power button which locks my phone immediately based on the 'Lock instantly with power key' setting
Hope this helps
I used Gravity Screen for this purpose a few years ago. I don't know if it works with this phone but you can try it out.
I also is able to turn on your screen as soon as you pick it up. And bypass your lockscreen ofc.
