problems with wild puzzle rom
ok im hoping someone could help a bit.. i desperatly need it my phone is completly down...im using wild puzzle v0.7 ,i installed it ... got my 160 MB free... i was using Uninor (India) as my network operator back then(My data connection was working well and fine then)..... after that i changed my card to vodafone....and i started having probs.... my phnoe started hanging frequently(like 5-10 mins of startup) frist i thought it was coz of my apps bt after a fresh install(i.e. no apps installed) also the phone used to hang... then i removed the sim card and switched on the phone ..... deselected the data connection option, again inserted my sim and the phone was working fine for an entire day ... it finally came to an end when i switched on the data connection.... i got my sim card replaced bt nothing changed .... ive done a fresh install nearly 10 times in the past 2 days (that includes installing all the apps manually) bt everything has been in vein.. bt then again my uninor card works properly .. plz help... i donno what to do... i really need this rom coz i want that 160mb free space coz i use alot of apps... also, a question out of the topic.... is there a way to include all MY apps (APKs) inside the rom's RAR file so that they get installed while i flash the rom itself???
also if somebody is willing.... then i'll upload my backup... plz download it and run it on ur phone to see what the prob is...
It may be just that your using HSDPA(3G+)
Go to settings > Wireless > Mobile Connection Settings > here there should a option for WSDMA or GSM, it's set to Auto normally. Try set it to GSM. Some places don't have a good connection to 3G and therefore your calls keep getting dropped. All this means is that your mobile data connection is gunna be slow but you should have a good connection. You could change it back anytime.
I've seen a few people report poor data connection for voda india, using the method below should be fine, but then it's a real shame because you are not getting the full potential

Since 3G is yet to be implemented (Or rather, just being implemented) in India. All services currently use the GPRS Standard. Setting it to GSM only shouldnt be a problem.
BTW, I am using Vodafone India since the day I got my Wildfire, and have zero issues with it, be it with normal telephony, Vodafone Live, and Vodafone Mobile Connect. (And the required setting in my case is set to GSM/WCDMA Auto)
@pyroblazer, did you wiped cache, data, factory settings etc before flashing ?
yes i did do a full wipe...also im not using 3G...
@f0xy:- what method are you talking bout???

hi,
i had a desire Z and used trafficstats to tell me exactly how much data each individual app was using, it was an awesome app
since going to dell streak neither traffic stats or network counter work,
network counter does give a hint, giving a message
"no data available, there is currently either no running apps using the network or your cell phone / tablet is lacking the necessary HW or SW (ROM) support"
can anyone help me to get this part of android working on my streak, i rooted the phone but it didnt make it work but then again my desire z wasnt rooted
help thanks
I thought the problem was that various pieces of software that I tried were no good, this makes more sense. I would LOVE to know which apps are energy hogs! I've gotten random surges in data usage and have no idea which app is the culprit :/
traffic stats is amazing, exact detail of how many mbs each and evry single app uses , including system stuff
i miss it , the streak is everything but this is disapointing to me tho
I use Traffic Monitor Widget by RadioOpt. Love it. Free. No ads. Built in Speed Test. Monthly reset. Accurate. Doesn't give per app stats though. I don't care too much.
thats great and my gran is double jointed
Hi
Problem: Some apps e.g. Absolute Radio (UK), on detection of a mobile/cellular connection, restrict services/quality. If they detect an active Wifi connection then the services/quality are unrestricted. HSPA is perfectly fast to support it, so it's a restriction I want to overcome.
So I want to be able to report to the app that the phone is using wifi when it's actually using cellular.
There's many other apps and reasons to spoof/fool/fake the cellular/wifi state.
Has anyone got ideas on:
a) Is there a method of setting/overriding the reported state? - the SDK mentions the TelephonyManager and WifiInfo classes to read the states but not a way to change it.
b) Is there any development already on an app/cyanogenmod to solve this? I can see some ideas around the webs involving iptables or decompilation of specific apps but they are not general solutions.
hello together,
my beloved HD2 (EU Model) is subject to random (daily) reboots, no matter what kind of ROM I've installed (2.3.3, 2.3.5, 2.3.7, 4.0.4, w/Sense, nonSense). This morning I catched it rebooting. When I tried to wake it up (PowerButton), the ScreenSaver appeared, I unlocked the device, then it freezed, and after a couple of seconds it rebooted.
No I have attached my actual CATLOG. Any idea on what the reason could be??
I'm currently on the latest Energy (2.3.5, Sense 3.5) Build, with 5/200/5 layout and a 16GB SD-Card with 1GB SD-EXT.
Any help is much appreciated! Thanks a lot!
Greetz

Hardware problem means? Memory (RAM) physically damaged? Have you ever had a similar problem?

Sorry couldn't stop myself.. Have a nice day
btw your logcat is clean, nothing wrong about hardware or anything about reboots..
could be bad blocks, boot your phone into the tri-color screen, attach the usb cable and ensure you have the "old" usb driver installed, you will find it on the definitive mtty thread for HD2, launch mtty, select usb in connection and press ok, a prompt comes up, type "info 8" without quotes (press enter ofcourse) and post the output here.
Oh, this is wrong section btw, thread reported.
Hello Rick, since I'm working with the same SDHC for at least 2 years, without formatting at any point, but with a lot of changes from ROM to ROM, I decided to reformat de SC-Card completely (with SD Formatter), and then install the ROM up from the scratch. Good or bad idea?

Hi Rick,
what does "Failed to find cpu subsys" mean? Nothing serious?
SIM Card related problem
Hello everybody,
Well...I'm suffering from the same problem you all are talking about here, random reboots (even in stand by).
I was researching here in xda, about this problem, and there's a lot of possible causes of this issue:
Overheating
Bad NAND Blocks
Motherboard soldering problems
Related problems with service provider signal and SIM Card
I can tell you that I suffer from overheating (playing games, youtube, browser, the back case gets very hot), and Bad NAND blocks (2 on boot partition, 1 on system and 2 on userdata) but it seems that's not the problem (for me).
I live in Chile and I have a T-MOUS (1700/2100 for HSDPA), I used to use it with movistar (850/1900) SIM Card for the last 5 months, but with no data plan due to the fact I could not use 3G here for bands incompatibility. I recently switched from provider, to Nextel (1700/2100), and voala, 3G started to work, and in the same time, problems with freezing, random reboots, high battery drain, etc...
I've tried a lot of solutions, like turn off automatic time and zone, auto backlight, manual network selection, etc, but none of these worked out. I was about to resign when I switched sim cards with my girldfriend for an experiment of signal-loss during one night, and the HD2 (with movistar and NO 3G) started to work again with no reboots, normal battery drain, etc...
For me the problem is the 3G data connection (I use ICS ROM from tytung, with RMNET, i tried PPP but I lose connectivity, no 3G). I don't know if theres a problem with the 3G itself or if the signal carries something that causes all the problems (I reed somewhere that T-Mobile once changed something in their signal and problems started to appear). I wish I could try another 3G provider, but here Nextel is the only one for my T-MOUS that opperates in the bands I need, so there remains the question.
Now I'm registered in another network (Nextel R), that is their 2G network, and I've data connection via EDGE, and it's working flawless as expected. I don't know if there's a fix for this problem or if I've to resign.
tom2lee, can you post your actual network situation and datablan etc, so I can compare the case with mine, maybe we can help each other.
Thanks
Hi Zaidor,
thanks for your descriptions! I'm living in switzerland, which is a very small country in the midst of europe (north of italy and south of germany). We only have 3 network carriers, where two of them are sharing the same infrastructure. I'm personally registered at the "Sunrise" network (www.sunrise.ch). This carrier offers the same network options as "Swisscom Mobile", the #1 carrier here in Switzerland. Depending on pricing plan you can have anything up to UMTS performance. For me, with a quite cheap plan, there's only remaining GPRS/Edge, which is enough for my daily sync needs. For the rest I'm sporting a fast W-LAN at home and at business site.
I also tried nearly every type of ROM, and I'm sure the problems wheren't there with the old froyo roms, some years ago...
But anyway, I'm now living with that I think, due to the lack of alternatives.
Be blessed!
Tom
Have u tried with a different CPU governor and a higher minimum cpu freq?
I use tytung ICS v2.5 rom, with PERFORMANCE governor, minimum 576mhz and maximum 998mhz...works, no freezes.
Try and give me some feedback
thanks
Hi,
I have also some reboot with my HD2. What's the probleme?
I used the NexusHD2-JellyBean-4.1.2-CM10 V1.3a.
Thanks,
Hi guys,
i have this very weird problem with my S4. The mobile Internet (HSDPA or H+ symbol) is very, very picky and unreliable when used. The device is rooted so i installed Xposed & module to monitor traffic usage and what i noticed is,that it transfers in "bursts". There is up&download, then it stops for a few seconds, nothing happens, then there are short bursts with data transmission again. Anyone got an idea what is causing this? The device uses Stock kernel if that helps and the last 4.4.2 firmware
Thank you in advance
